I have a brand new MAC PRO. Illustrator is so S L O W.
I'm doing Sketch up and that is speedy compared to AI.

It’s crazy how long simple files are taking to save. Ridiculous

been using Adobe products since 1999 and this is not usable.
I am running a pro 20k system with NVNM system and tons of ram.
Saving anything is unreal slow.

Not resolved. Using Illustrator 2020 version 24.1.2. Takes forever if it can even finish saving.

I got a new imac last week, i9, 1 TB SSD, best GPU and 16 gb ram.
When I want to save an illustrator file, it takes 5 minutes. WHY IS THAT?

It sure takes a long time to save ai files and hangs the whole PC at times. My version is 2020. Please help how can I fix this? Attached is my PC specs.

after to 24.1.1 the file save will stuck at 65% and it never end...please help..what should i do to resolve this issues?

Please uncheck both highlighted fields. This will resolve opening and saving files slow issue in Acrobat PDF PRo

Yup. I've got a brand new iMac loaded with RAM. Takes way long to save even simple files.

My entire computer bogs down and stops working and never completes a save! This is ridiculous!! Financially we are struggling and the one job I can do, is ****** away because files won’t save and my computer is at crashing point - flickers on and off black screen & back to Illustrator. This program is excessively expensive and I can’t do a **** thing with it! I need compensation. It is completely unfair to take our money and give people a useless program! People are trying to earn an income!!! Get this fixed, PLEASE!!

This doesn't make any sense! It took 15 minutes to save a file that took 5 minutes making it! Saving a simple file takes tooooooo much longer than previous version!!!

TIP.. if you are using mac OS, launch "Activity Monitor" and force quit "AIRobin" process. All my illustrator work is saved over a network and I thought this issue was a network issue and larger files, however it is directly cause by the built in background save process "AIRobin". You may also notice that right after you save your document in illustrator does NOT register as being saved as the asterisk does not go away and trying to close immediately after saving.. IT ASKS TO SAVE AGAIN! This is ridiculous!! The AIRobin process may self launch a few times and you will need to keep force quitting it. FIX THIS ISSUE - remove the memory hog "AIRobin" it is causing nothing but headaches. After quitting the AIRobin process things will save faster and the save marker "*" will disappear from the document tab of the document saved. Good luck!! Awaiting patch for this BS....

Come on Adobe I've been using Adobe products for close to 16-17 years and it is getting worse to use after every update! Saving simple files with PDF compatibility turned off - saves a 1mb on an SSD takes ages even getting the spinning beach ball... it slows our productivity down across the board and is irritating to no end. How about going back to actually fixing your products rather than just give us patches every which week. Seriously, pick up your game or we will find other products to use.

Pathetic ,now illustrator have taken to the next level it takes a **** lot of time to save the documents as earlier version was far better in terms of saving, almost 89 MB file taking 12 minutes to save and then the other processing of saving made takes its own time to save 100%.

Definitely , nothing has been solve yet , yet it has taken next level where infact my job is in threatened line and in mode of loosing my job .

Non of my work is happening on time because of the tons of issues in delay performing the task in Adobe Illustrator.

The screenshot has been taken from the 77 MB file size , while saving the document this is the problem what i have faced.

This has definitely not been resolved. Everytime I save, it takes from 5 - 15 minutes, (if my file doesn't crash). And when it exceeds 15 minutes, the program just crashes. There has to be a better update than the one you put in place. Please resolve.

Any updates on this?

I am so frustrated. I have been on the same job all morning, I can't do ANYTHING until this is saved as I need to send the client the actual Illustrator file as well as PDF.

WHY did you break this, and why did you put this out broken? You KNEW the save bug so why didn't WE???

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY...STOP UPDATING/BREAKING ILLUSTRATOR!!!! At one point in my long career Illustrator worked perfectly...now Adobe is obsessed with increasing the time it takes me to get work done!!!
Can someone at Adobe please start communicating with people that actually use this software in their careers and stop letting interns break the software that we are totally reliant on at this point!! Don't get sloppy or someone else will create something better. I'm looking forward to it at this point!
