Illustrator not recognizing Arial font after setting up new computer
HI All, Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot, but this is my first post. I recently set up a new work computer (MacBook pro, High Sierra 10.13.6 ) to replace my older computer. I have typically made PDF's in illustrator using Arial font, but now when I open these older PDF's the text id highlighted as when the font is not recognized . as well if I import Arial text from excel it pastes it as symbols.

1 voteIt is possible there is a font conflict and you have multiple version of Ariel on your machine. e.g. a TTF and another OTF

Live font preview panel isn´t working
Hi to all.
I think that this is a old bug, but I already update AI to the latest version (CC 22.1) and the problema remains… This is really frustrated. Can you please, help?

the font style file has not been installed
Just recently purchased CC 2018. Although I have been using Illustrator since 1998, this is the first time I have worked with CC. And I'm having issues with the Type in Illustrator - it seems the font style file has not been installed [???] - for example with the Font Myriad Pro - there should be an option of regular, regular italic, bold, bold italic, etc - I can only get regular.
This issue HAS to be resolved or there is no point in continuing to use CC 2018. Please let me know what I need to do - does…

fonts do not drop down. They did yesterday, but not today. Reinstalled to no avail. Drop down works in all other apps.

Keyboard shortcut for Change Case > UPPERCASE is missing
- In version 22.1 there is no anymore option for Type > Change Case > UPPERCASE in Keyboard Shortcuts.
- I miss that Shortcut, that's all.

Major Type issues
Having major dramas with type. I cannot select any existing type in any file. I cannot add any type either. On the rare occasion that any cursor may appear, it is so tiny as to be impossible to see anything. On typing, no text appears at all.

Illustrator CC2018 request font
1 - OSX High Sierra - 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
2 - Starting Illustartor it request to download some font (see attached file)
3 - Tryed to download and Illustrator run correctly, but when I restart computer the messare is the same.
I alsto tryed to re-install Illustrator but the bug stay

illustrator text stroke misaligned in illustrator and when placed in photoshop as smart object
Strokes seem to be misaligned when working on live small text and cannot be placed into photoshop correctly to apply FX. Adobe CC

Bengali Dari Line Break Issue
The Indic 'dari' (U+0964, "।") reflows to the next line in Bengali, but it should behave like a period and not be allowed to start a line, especially if not preceded by a space. I am using v22.0.1 x64 on Windows 10. I have attached a file to show what I mean.

Glyph
Weird Glyph problem going on. Basically we have registered "R"s on our artworks, and on some occasions the glyph is applying superscript to the superscript "R" making it half the size it should be. Font is Gotham Medium using CC 2018 macOS High Sierra, Suitcase Fusion. Even weird that its changing when I scoll around the artwork to the smaller "R"? any ideas as I'm lost. This was happening also in CC 2017

All Typekit fonts unavailable
All of a sudden Typekit stopped working through Illustrator/Photoshop. I cannot open the CC app on my desktop either. I cannot uninstall it nor reinstall it as none of these functions will work. I am effectively frozen out of my desktop CC app and typekit. When I access Typekit via the webpage it shows my snyced fonts but I cannot access them on my desktop (PC). Variable font remains static
I've been working on various variable fonts, which, while there are sometimes are some GPU rendering issues in Illustrator, work as expected.
However, my last creation remains static while changing the variable (see example). The font variation works perfectly in online environments, it's only in Adobe apps that this seems to be an issue.

Gradient stroke & fill can no longer be seen when applied to editable type
No so much of as an idea as a rendering bug, the idea would be to fix it.

Versions CC2018 will not render the Gradient stroke & fill, just renders as black.1 voteI went to appearance panel and was able to apply gradients to type using fill and strokes.

- Illustrator CC2018
- Editing existing type.
- The ability to actually see what I'm typing.
- Almost always there is no text refresh when editing text. You have to drag the text or otherwise alter it so that Illustrator is forced to refresh so you can see changes you make.
I'm using a new iMac Pro High Sierra. Please fix the bug!

Restart every 1 min to fix a bug – Illustrator Font Panel Bug
Adobe Illustrator always show the default font Myriad Pro no matter which typeface/font you are using. Also Fonts and weights that you are using disappear from the dropdown of the font.
The only way of fixing it is to restart illustrator every 1 min.

Illustrator refusing to show fonts in character search when typing with no drop down, illustrator cc 2018
Changing font by clicking in the character search bar doesn't bring up the drop down or show the font changing... it's acting really buggy

Text Formatting Bug
Adobe Illustrator 22.1 (64-bit)
Typing text within a single text box that requires different font styles formatting.
While editing the text within the text box, in the last version (Illustrator 21), I could change up the font style of a font family and continue typing.
But, in the updated version, if I change the font style (i.e. roman, bold, italic) I have to click back into the text box to continue typing. In addition, the change in formatting does not apply once clicked back into said text box. This requires me to type out whatever needs to be typed out…
