RAS solution trouvé (chat gpt mon sauveur) je partage l'astuce :

1. Le cadre de sélection est masqué (90 % des cas)

Appuie sur :

Ctrl + Shift + B (Windows)
ou
Cmd + Shift + B (Mac)

On ne peux plus modifier la taille des formes ou de la zone de texte, pareil en sélection multiple avec l'outil selection, on ne peux que le bouger ....

Maria, are you sure you haven’t accidentally disabled Bounding Box with Cmd+Shift+B hotkey? You can try to toggle it back with the same shortcut or via View > Show Bounding Box.

It’s easy to toggle it with Ctrl+Shift+B, so perhaps this is what happened.

When I used the black arrow I used to be allowed to resize and rotate an object, now I only get to move it and see the anchor points (It's not the white arrow)

Bounding box is turned ON and I still cannot resize or grab the handles of the objects. Possible bug as of September 5, 2025.

Somehow you’ve got your bounding box disabled.
You can enable it back with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B hotkey or via the View > Show Bounding Box.
This mode can quite useful when one intentionally toggles it, but can indeed be frustrating.
There are many reports like this, but it’s not clear yet if it gets disabled on its own or is it just a hotkey getting slipped.

Most likely the bounding box got disabled for you, it’s quite easy to accidentally turn it off with Cmd+Shift+B. Press this combination to toggle it or use the menu command — View > Show Bounding Box.

Claudia, it seems like the bounding box got toggled for you somehow... perhaps you accidentally pressed Cmd+Shift+B hotkey? This is what toggles it. You can also enable it back via the View menu, Show Bounding Box.

Illustrator version 29.3.1 (2025)

The Selection tool (black arrow) does not work anymore and i can't resize things on any of my documents. I tried to close-reopen illustrator and even restart the entire computer without any results.

I'm not able to edit the size of any of my artwork or text.

Adelenne, seems like you accidentally had your bounding box disabled.
Press Cmd + Shift + B to toggle it back or do it via the menu, View > Show Bounding Box.

Unable to work on the image/text scaling with the selection tool. Problem persisted even after restarting pc or app.

Isabeau, can you please record a small video of you trying to reproduce the behavior?
I have my guesses why it happens, just want to see exactly how it looks.
