I don't update anything ,....but the hand tool not working....Is problem on Adobe or MacBook Pro?

Alright - I quit Safari - and space bar started working again. Restarted safari and spacebar is still working. So - I think it is the Mac OS system that is kicking in with the issue. That is my guess.

I am on a MacBook Pro - and spacebar is not working at all as a hand grabber move function for any of my Adobe apps. I am on Sierra OS system. Please help!

I just did my update and realized this shortcut isn't working anymore... has anyone figured out a workaround to this problem?

I disabled Magnet (iOS app from the app store). It now works for me

I now use H and V to toggle between hand tool and selection
I miss the space bar!!!

I have just tried to do a small job and this was a major pain. Why would you do this? It's such a useful feature!

this is a MAJOR inconvenience ... I've been using the space bar as a quick way to move around, for over 10 years .... UNACCEPTABLE !!!! ... it decreases my work productivity by at least 25%

Same here - happens randomly and the only things that fixes it is restarting. Happens on all Adobe CC tools if happened to be opened at the same time... where's the glitch? is it only on Macs?

This is still an issue for me on MacBook Pro. Happened to me a few days ago, and shutting down Chrome and Safari (plus hitting H and V keys) did nothing to fix the problem. The only thing that worked was a hard restart of the computer. Worked fine for 1 day, then just started happening again out of the blue this morning while I was working on something, one minute it was working, then not. Same thing, proposed solutions not working, so I have to shut everything down again and hope for the best.

This is a serious issue that is affecting productivity.

CMD T... I haven’t used illustrator in so long I’m not sure if I’ve tried that. But I guess I can today. It just kills me that Adobe is so i present for its users while demanding monthly payments from us. What the ****.
