Bounding box suddenly disappears using Selection Tool
Suddenly disappears, but when a select scale then select the "Selection Tool" again the Bounding box reappears. When it is gone, togglingthe quick key, has no effect though t changes the menu state for turning it on and off. Also, when it can't be seen, a small icon for the bounding box is in the corner, occasionally.
Sound familiar to anyone else?

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

 commentedPhotoshop CC, 20.0.0:
Go to Preferences (under the Photoshop CC Menu), then to Tools. There is a checkbox called "Show Reference Point When Using Transform". Check it on. This fixed my issue, which is my center point of a layer had vanished, so I could not rotate anything from a desired anchor point. Hope this solves some problems.

commentedWhen using anchor points, I now can't see the handles on either end of a straight line. I have to use a corner handle then reposition the artwork rather than extending it directly. I shouldn't have to be trying a bunch of solutions from a forum -- this shouldn't be broken in the first place. Just fix it, christ -- every freakin time. I always wonder what'll be broken with every new update.

commentedBounding Box is not visible when using the selection tool unless I hold down the control key. It makes no difference if I choose "show bounding box" or not. Selection tool shows points on object, not bounding box.

commentedI got my anchor back by clicking the 3x3 grid of squares icon just below the 'file; and 'edit' options at the top left of the window. i believe this is also the problem you had.

commentedI did an upgrade to Illustrator CC 2019 and for some reason am having issues with the bounding box. I tried resetting the bounding Box and it does nothing. Its not letting me resize or select images to resize. Its frustrating cause I can't do anything without that feature. Can anyone check on this please?

commentedOn windows 10 I think you have to press on the anchor boxes to view the respective anchor handles!

commentedThe suggestion from Katie (from 26.oct.2017) worked for me! To change from "hide edges" to "show edges" under the view menu (or press command+H).

commentedHappens mostly with text, but sometimes with objects. Only reliable way to get everything back to normal is restarting.

commentedSarah Khan, This does not fix the issue, and it seems to only happen on Windows. I'm working on windows at work, and Apple at home. I do not have these issues on my iMac. It would also be helpful if Adobe staff viewed these issues as people keep posting to this thread, it's been almost 8 months since anyone from the team has made a response... I have tried all of the suggested solutions and to no avail, but I agree with Anonymous from 4/13/18, there should be a "TURN ON HANDLES" option. I am literally having to zoom in to 150% in order to resize objects, outlined text, etc. Unless you are working on a 70" display, this is extremely frustrating.

commentedIf it's the same problem I'm having (no handles to resize an object, the answer is none of what I've read. Under VIEW, turn on BOUNDING BOXES. Who knows why they can't call it TURN ON HANDLES.

commentedI fixed this issue by going into Edit/Preferences/Selection & Anchor Display and ticking "Show handles when multiple anchors are selected"

commentedI've been having a similar problem. The handles appear, but the points are either tiny or I see no anchor points unless I hover precisely over them. In the second case, they are visible only on mouse over and not visible even when I click to select them. The points not appearing at all seems to be inconsistent (sometimes they're there, other times not), but when they do appear, they are tiny (a few pixels wider than the line). On more complex paths, they are more likely to appear. I've tried changing any settings related to selection and anchor display - anchor point and handle display, tolerance, show anchor points in selection and shape tools, highlight anchors on mouse over, as well as other things that seem unrelated. I've also toggled "hide edges."
I tried changing the resolution of the display which helps in that it makes everything huge, but does not appear to affect the problem.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my gpu driver and this did not help. (NVIDIA Quadro K2000)
 I'm using windows 7 64-bit
I've been using the same machine with no previous problems for a couple of years.

commentedSarah and Katie, I am having the exact same problem. I've check all of the Edge settings, toggled GPU performance on and off, reset preferences and even Enabled/Disabled "Show Anchor Points in Selection Tool and Shape Tools" under "selection and Anchor Display. I am on Windows 10 on once machine and Windows 7 on the other. This problem seems to be only on my Windows 10 setup.

commentedHi Katie, Can you please check that in your view menu you have the option of Hide edges instead Show Edges. You can even try the shortcut key of Ctrl + H and check after that whether your handles and anchor points are now visible or not.
Please revert back if your problem does not get resolved. Thanks
