Illustrator 23.0.1 crashing almost immediately after launch
I am running Mojave 10.14.2 (system screenshot attached). Every time I start Illustrator, it runs for 5-10 seconds and then crashes. There are no error messages; it just dies. The same thing happens with InDesign. Photoshop appears to run without issue.
I have tried looking for updates in the CC app, but it says that the programs are all up to date.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, but the issue remains.
I have seen responses for similar issues where Adobe techs say that the issue has been fixed on version 23.0.1, but that is not the case; I am running this version and the issue persists.
Please try again, there was a server level issue that was leading to a crash on January 9th 2019
NOTE: This issue is only for the scenario where Illustrator 23.0.1 / 23.0.0 started crashing on January 9th 2019

I just updated my Adobe apps 2 days ago to the 2019 version and the very same thing is happening to my Adobe Illustrator. Any ai document that I try to open just makes it crash immediately. It freezes my screen options and it keeps loading forever.

I found this page that solved my issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-cc-crash-wacom-drivers.html. When I uninstall the Wacom drivers from my computer I can startup Illustrator without issues.

Hello,
The same issue still occurs on my system running Win 10 Enterprise Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300U CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2712 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) with 8 GB Ram.
I did a Windows reset and installed the required applications from scratch, but nothing helps. Same issue for Illustrator 22.1, 23.0, 23.01, 23.02. disconnecting the network/ internet connection does not help.Any suggestion is welcome. I did send the crash reports.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the input. I have tried the recommeded solution, but unfortunately, this seems to be a user specific issue. When another user logs in and uses it, they have no issues.
If I log in to another computer with Adobe Illustrator, most of the time it crashes as well.
So, I have pinned this down to a user specific issue. Not user if there is a setting that is causing this issue.
Cheers!!!

Hey Waran,
I went through what sounds like the same scenario and was able to "fix" the situation simply by shutting down and restarting my Mac. I'm sure my computer had been running a few days straight when I encountered the Illustrator problem, and actually had to do the same process again a couple weeks later when I was delinquent and left it running too long once again. Same restart-fix worked, and the bug seemed to have gone away erroneously.
Though I never tracked down any real explanation as to where the problem stemmed from, it hasn't reoccurred in a couple months (fingers crossed).
Good luck!

If works AFTER you pull-off the LAN-cable or removed the internet connection... But I need the internet to source out ideas/work.

Looks like it is up and running now.
Thanks!

yes - unplugging the internet and disabling wifi allowed the software to run for me. good to serve my immediate workflow need, but definitely not a long term solution!

if you unplug internet connexion, work fine, i think it's problems with cloud library

I forgot to mention uninstalling and reinstalling via the CC app did not solve it.

Illustrator launches and after 2-3 seconds it crashes with no reason mentioned. The bug report dial shows up and that's it.
There was a W10 update before the issue started. Operating system Windows 10 Family 17134.
Illustrator 22 works normally. -

SAME ISSUE HERE. Same specs as above.... I have commented on other crash issues on the boards that seem to be related, but above is exactly what is happening to me, and only today. Yesterday was fine, worked well.
