Artboards with the same number / missing number
In the artboards menu, two have the same number, and so one cannot access or export one of those two artboards (see the attached photo, with two artboards labeled "9")
The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.
If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.
1. Open Task Manager
2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'
3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'
4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button
5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility
6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
This will help provide necessary clues to locate the source of the problem. If you are a Mac user — please ignore this message.

In multiple different files, 3rd created artboard is assigned the number 4 instead of 3.

I duplicated the same artboard 3 times, ending up with 4 artboards, and two of those artboards were assigned the same number (4). So I cannot export one of the artboards as they export to a single file name. I duplicated one of the artboards to get artboard number 5, then deleted one of the artboard number 4s and artboard number 5 became artboard number 4 resulting in the same problem.

Same error for me... have used the same file for years, and it now has multiple duplicates.. I tried duplicating, adding, deleting, and reorganizing and rearranging the artboards nothing seems to work, and it won't export all of my artboards
Abobe Ill v 2019 CC 22.0.3
Note: I JUST cleared Illustrator preferences and it fixed the problem... To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (macOS) as you start Illustrator. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Illustrator.

I have the same problem. When this will be fixed?

When dublicating artboards (Alt + drag), the program randomly makes one of the artboards dublicate with the same number. When exporting the artboards, one of the duplicates is ignored and cannot be exported.

This bug makes me loose money.

Latest version of cc 2018 has a glitch when creating multiple artboards it skips 6 and labels two boards as 7 before continuing on. This makes it skip the 6th board when exporting due to the fact both are named 7.
