Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation.
I applied a pattern to a stroke by accident and received this error. I'm using v25.0.1 on a PC with 16 gb RAM and a dedicated graphics card.

I'm still finding this problem. Even starting a new document I get "There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object." warning. After clicking okay, the application is left stuck and requires forced quitting.

Still have the issue of Illustrator randomly just quitting without any warning. I’m usually doing something complex — changing text styles in a document with a lot of text and points, like a complicated map. It happens so fast that it takes sometimes about five minutes for the Adobe crash reporter to show up. The Mac OS reporter shows right up though. Always seems to be EXEC KERN issues so I’m wondering if it’s a memory leak or something.

I did the update and it worked for a little while. However Illustrator has now started with the same error message and crashes constantly. Sometimes it doesn't give me a error message but the whole program is locked, (gray out menus and won't let me select anything).

I have the update for 23.0.1 and while I'm not getting any specific error messages, it's crashing *multiple* times a day now. Running Mojave 10.14.1 here as well.

I've updated to Illustrator 2019 and to Mojave and I'm getting these issues constantly. Opening a very simple AI file (even one that is just a square black box), causes the App to ghost completely and become unworkable.
It simply cannot be used right now!
2018 version had no issues at all.

And it is even worse.
NOTHING works.
All greyed out.
Cant do anything.
I have to force quit every time.I fear to even try to open PS, if this happens there too.

Hey Ashutosh there is no new updates to get, even though I sesach for new updates.
My system has all needed stats and running mojave-this is starting to get critical here npw.
Every time I try to open an ai file everything is greyed out an I have to force quit the app.
This is not "completed" as I see it when we as paying customers do not even get the update.
Please fix urgently as it seems reading through many threads and comments on this that it has no difference what iOS you use as this seems to affects so many on different systems.

How do I get the 23.0.1 update? running 23.0 and creative cloud tells me there are no updates. Preview error is causing me issues and time waste.

I'm running the update 23.01 (well, trying....). and still having trouble. It doesn't happen as quickly or as often, but something is still not right.
This is frustrating. Going back to an earlier version. I'm on a different computer than typical running High Sierra, and can't get to the 2018 version, so 2017, here I come!

The update doesn’t solve the issue. Come on Adobe, sort this out!

I also have type issues. The type is difficult to highlight and the cursor keeps jumping.

CC 23.0.1 not working for me, still having the same "not enough memory" issues—can't do anything. Worked for about an hour after I installed it yesterday, but not today. Going back to 2018 version.

No bombs or RAM Issues. But still major type issues. Type slow to highlight, sometimes not even the right word or letter, and very jumpy. Fix the type issue and we have a solid program again.

The issue is resolved. It could be a matter of perception, but now it seems to be a bit slower than before, especially with Live Pain tools.

This bug fix is holding steady. Thanks!

The latest update appears to have resolved the memory issue failing to display documents. To me the performance seems to have taken a hit as a result of this latest update, but I'll continue to monitor this.

Same here - "Cannot finish previewing" error, running out of application memory all the time, crashing etc. 23.0.1 is so slow it's painful. Struggling to scroll around the artboards in a 500kb file containing a few gradients and a bit of text. CC has been really tough going on my MBP since I updated all my apps last week. Also had problems with flickering cursor in Illustrator 23.0. Reverting to CC2018 until this is actually fixed.

Same Problem here. The version 23.0 is not even unusable! I had to go back to CC 2018 then it's working well again. And I didn't see any update 23.01 yet. :o
