Hoping this is fixed soon, using it daily its driving me mad!

v26.4.1 on Mac OSX Montery 12.5. Click and drag fails with MacOS green plus (+) symbol appearing beside cursor. No extra plugins or UI installed. iMac 24", magic Mouse.

Having exactly the same issue here. Hopefully a fix is on the way as it's super jarring

I am having this issue and it's driving me crazy! Any time I try to drag quickly the pgram stnaps it back to place or doesn't drag it at all.

Running 26.4.1 on Monterey 12.4 on Mac.

Bala, the team is now aware of this problem and is going to review it. It seems like the bug has returned. Actually, UV now is the shortest way to get an attention to a problem. I try to look through all incoming reports and read all the comments.

Looks like nobody showing any attention from Adobe to us, although it looks like an ongoing very common issue which is effecting our productivity. Do you people know how to get attention here or somewhere else to this issue. Maybe "Admin" can help us.

Estou tendo o mesmo problema. Achei que era algo presente apenas utilizando o Magic Mouse 2, mas quando testei com um mouse normal, o problema persistiu :(

Quando arrasto um objeto muito rápido, um sinal de "+" aparece no cursor e dá um som estranho (que agora está me irritando bastante) e o objeto volta para a posição que estava.

Alguém encontrou alguma solução?

Desde hace unas semanas y previo a la última actualización, con la herramienta de selección (v) selecciono un elemento, a veces imágenes optimizadas otras veces vectores, y al comenzar a moverlo suena un timbre, al puntero le aparece el mismo icono "+" que aparece cuando se arrastra un elemento desde el Finder al área de trabajo de Illustrator, el vector o imagen se congela y vuelve donde mismo estaba cuando lo seleccioné.

Same here. I just installed 26.4.1 but the bug persists.

Illustrator is getting sluggish as well. If you can get an item to move eventually it seems like the machine is slowing down dramatically. Things move around in slow motion. Very frustrating.

Looking at the time this glitch has been reported, I think Adobe has done a bad job to fix their expensive app. May I remind them we're paying them millions every month to work with this handicapped tool? Maybe we should get a refund for every month this isn't fixed.

In the meantime I have updated again to Illustrator CC2022 v26.4.0. The problem has not disappeared with it, but I can test in parallel and I can also do my job with CC 2021.

It looks quite like the "green cursor" problem has to do with the mouse.

Both the wireless Apple Magic Mouse I and II have the problem.

With both the USB Apple Mouse Trackball and the Wacom Intuos Pro M PTH-660 pen, I have not been able to find any problems so far.

the current version of Illustrator CC2022 v26.4.0 is causing massive problems mainly when duplicating objects with choice key, but also simply when moving them with the mouse.

When duplicating objects with the Option key, a warning tone sounds and a cursor with a black arrow pointing to the top left appears, and a white cross on a green circle appears at the bottom right - just as if you wanted to drag and drop an object from one document to another.

After that, objects sometimes cannot be moved at all - a warning tone always sounds.

However, such an object can be moved, scaled, rotated etc. with the arrow keys. Sometimes it helps to select another object and then select the stubborn one again.

The problem occurs with multiple files as well as with a newly created file.

The problem did not occur with the previous version 26.3.1 with the same documents.

What I have already tried without success:

-Display with CPU enabled
-Preferences deleted
-Illustrator cache files deleted

-Removed all third-party PlugIns, including those from Adobe Exchange.
All PlugIns were up to date in each case.

-Uninstalled and reinstalled the program - also without success.

Other problems (more cosmetic):

The "Missing Profile" dialog box when opening a file, moves a bit further to the left each time a file is opened, until it finally reaches the left edge of the screen and stays there.

The same thing happens when saving files. Here it is the "Illustrator Options" dialog box.

I have since reverted back to version CC2022 v26.3.1 - and all is well again.

Since a downgrade removed the latest version CC2022 v26.4.0, I can't test out any tips for now.

キャンバス上にあるパスを選択し、移動させようとしてドラッグ＆ドロップしても、
パスがもとの位置にもどり希望の位置に配置されません。

移動できないのはパス・テキスト・画像など全てです。
この症状は常にではなく不定期で起こります。
また、繰り返し移動を試みると２回から５回目には無事移動することがほとんどです。

ドラッグ＆ドロップする際、カーソル付近にコピーする時に表示される「+（プラスマーク）」が表示されることがあります。
しかしこの時キーボードには触れておらず、マウスのみの操作ですが表示されます。
「+（プラスマーク）」が表示されていなくても、同様に移動できない症状は起きます。

これらの症状は、OSとIllustratorをアップグレードしてから起こるようになりました。
・MacOS：10.14　から　10.15（Catalina）に更新。
・Illustrator：CC2019　から　CC2022 に更新。

同じ時期にアップグレードした、同じ作業環境の別のMacProも同様の症状が起きています。

作業環境
・Mac Pro (Late 2013)
・macOS Catalina（10.15）
・Illustrator2022　26.1

１秒で終わる動作に毎度時間を取られ困っております。

There's a "chirping" sound when I try to move objects and it won't let me. This happens about half the time I try to move an object in Illustrator.

Using Ai 26.1 on Mac M1 Pro Laptop version 12.3.1

With the selection tool, I selection an image and attempted to move it. A green plus button appeared and the object will not move. Instead the object snaps back in place and an audible sound is made by illustrator signifying I was trying to do something that is not possible nor allowed.

All snap options have been disabled and yet this problem persists. Only by copying and pasting the object am I then allowed to move it.
