Click-drag fails... snaps back
Click-drag, click-opt (copy) drag, click-shift (constrained) drag fails... snaps back.
Click on object to drag it either with or without option and/or shift and sometimes it will fail and snap back to its original position.
Mac mini M1
MacOS 12.2.1 Monterey
Apple Magic Mouse (no Wacom or other third party drivers)
Same behavior on two identical machines.
Works fine with v26.0.3.

This problem is occurring for me in version 26.4.1. If I use my apple track pad then I don't have the problem. This is very frustrating

Hi everyone,
With the new update (26.5), the problem we are having looks like gone. Hopefully it won't come back. Thanks to everyone for expressing their frustration on the issue. Knock wood we are good to go. If anything changes, I will update the situation. Also thank you Egor for raising the issue. Cheers -

Hi jonbrong
I switched between an Apple Mouse II and a Logitech Mouse several times during my tests. In the process, I switched the mice on and off several times. This had no positive effect on me.
But nice if it helped you - possibly the problem was multilayered.
Many greetings Peter

May sound stupid but...
I just turned my Magic Mouse 2 off and then on and the bug appeared to go away.
*fingers crossed

I'm having the same issue as well! I was on Adobe support yesterday and they did a remote support with my computer. After an hour or so, they couldn't figure it out so they're leaving case open until they find a solution.
For the time being, I reverted back to Illustrator 26.03 (John C.'s suggestion in this forum) and it stopped. Running OS Monterey 12.4.

DO WE HAVE A FIX? The amount of rage I have for this issue is ridiculous!

Hi,
the problem with the "green cursor" only appeared when using Apple Mouse I and II. The older Apple Mighty Mouse with trackball worked fine, as did a Logitech mouse.
With the update to Illustrator CC2022 v26.5 the "green cursor" problem disappeared. This means green light for Apple mouse I and II.
Many greetings Peter

I can't believe this bug came back. It was just fixed with a previous version. I had to backdate to use illustrator again. Please fix this.

Very annoying! I thought it was just me and I was going mad!
Having the problem on M1 Pro with Monterey.
Unistalled and gone back to 26.03 which seems to fix -

It is completely slowing down my workflow, and absolutely maddening.

@Wendy, I wish I knew it myself! All I know is that the team is aware of it now. We all just have to wait and vote, here and there. I'll try to figure it out though.

Egor, how much longer are we supposed to wait to get this fixed? This is ridiculous. I’m pretty sure a lot of us work against the time and this is just slowing us down big time. Any updates on when this going to be working as it is supposed to?

Having the same issue here. No green cursor, but extremely frustrating drag behavior. I even reverted to 26.3.1 but the issue is still there.

It's just killing me, why do the update if it only brings the issue back from the prior fix... Irritating and counterproductive... Hope the team is on it...

David Bonn commented
Hi, since the upgrade objects are jumping back to their original location once moved! this is happening at random
