Bug is back in 26.5. One has to copy and paste in to small art board and then Ai lets you export in other formats.
Running Ventura Beta (build 22A5352e)
Please fix this issue soon.

In version 26.5 there is still the bug, the entry to export to DXF does not appear

Very sad, that 25.4.8 still remains undone. Dear company Adobe, could you please add this kind of information in the creative cloud app? If you release an update, which is not ready to use, please add a comment like "Attention! Do not use this version!". You could save us a lot of time trying half done products ...

*** IMPORTANT ***
Once again Adobe has released a new update for Illustrator 2021 - 25.4.8 this time - and ONCE AGAIN they've not bothered to fix this bug.
I've just tried updating my Illustrator from version 25.4.5 to 25.4.8 on my Mac (which runs macOS Mojave 10.14.6), i.e. skipping versions 25.4.6 and 25.4.7, which we know have this bug.
The new version - 25.4.8 - STILL HAS THE SAME BUG.
So, to avoid this bug, REMAIN ON VERSION 25.4.5.
And don't say "Oh, you should upgrade your macOS". As a company we CAN'T DO THAT. We HAVE to stick with Mojave, for some VERY GOOD REASONS.

What a nightmare. I'm not supposed to get into the weeds of this IT mess, I am a designer who imports and exports DXF's on the regular. DESIGNER not code whisperer. I'm storing all my files in the Adobe Cloud for Chrissakes so HOW could I be using the wrong library as someone suggested. Adobe makes me pay for a better more secure system. I pay. but now the only plug in that I need or use is the ONLY error I get. ***** this waste of time. Sorry, I've been reading this technical **** for well over an hour and I'm done.

Hey @TheoGschwind,
You can do that using the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. Please see the attached screenshots to go to older version.
Thanks,
Varun

Hey Varun
Thanks for your useless advice. How am I supposed to do that??
Adobe doesn't allow it after all!
Better see that you bring proper and usable updates to the market, after all I pay for the license and must be able to work with it. -

I'm really trying to recognize a great help in this suggestion of Varun Sharma, but I can’t prevent to fail. MacOS 10.14 might not be extreme new, but it’s a nice and nearly error free working system which is the best solution for all users of these still quick machines of 2011/2012. Updating to 10.15 is not recommended, as far as I know by talking to those, who tried.

Why would the update be billed as "stability improvements" but remove a critical feature such as exporting to dxf? Thank goodness I was able to go backwards to .5

Especially the IMPORT of DXF is important (and DRW? wasn’t working either, can’t remember now, because I already switched back to 25.4.5)

Illustrator 2021 v25.4.6
macOS Mojave 10.14.6In v25.4.6, a plugin loading error (DxfDwgFileFormat.aip) occurs on startup.
This occurs only on macOS Mojave.
It does not occur in v25.4.5. Probably a bug in v25.4.6.
Note that the system requirements for v25 are from macOS Mojave 10.14 to macOS Big Sur 11.v25.4.6 では、起動時にプラグインの読み込みエラー (DxfDwgFileFormat.aip) が発生します。
macOS Mojave のみで発生します。
v25.4.5では発生しません。おそらくv25.4.6のバグと思われます。
なお、v25のシステム要件は、macOS Mojave 10.14からmacOS Big Sur 11までです。 -
Do you try to export a document in the large canvas mode (larger than 227in/577mm) or a normal one?
