  1. Unable to save to Illustrator 8 legacy format

    Illustrator 23.0.1 (64-bit)
    Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64

    File saved as Illustrator 8 cannot be reopened by Illustrator CC 2019 or earlier versions.

    Create simple file (can be blank, but this doesn't show the full problem.
    Save as Illustrator 8 format.
    Attempt to ope.
    Error message (see screenshot) is displayed.
    Click OK.
    File then opens, but has no content.

  2. Illustrator CC 2019 (v3.0)

    I generate a PDF from Illustrator with "High Quality Print" option and unable to view in Acrobat DC.

    This is happening only after I update the Illustrator CC 2019 (v23.0)

    I have attached the screenshot.

  3. JPG Import bug CC 2019

    macOS 10.13.6
    Ai 23.0

    Try to open or place a .jpg or .jpeg file
    -> Error-Message "File could not be read because there was an error"

    Does work with other images. I attached the original image.

    (After running the image through imageOptim the import works)

  4. Cannot open .ai files after update. Windows 10

    After new October update for Illustrator CC 2019, I can no longer open .ai files? I get the 'how to you want to open this file?' window appear.

    If I right click .ai file > properties > opens with, change. and select the correct Illustrator it still does not change!

  5. AI crashes on opening PDFs

    Attempting to open a PDF proof generated from InDesign, AI quits without warning. Either using right-click/Open With… or File -> Open from within AI produces this result.

    OSX 10.13.6
    Illustrator 23.0
    Mid-2015 MBP.

    If the issue is still reproducible with AI 23.0.2 then please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

  6. Can't use 'Export As" as an action to export jpg

    I have created an action for export as JPG, but when I play the action, I got an error message say "can't save the illustration" The object is not currently available

  7. Paths disappear when exporting to jpg

    When i export to JPG, or PNG some paths just disappear.
    I'ts not the first time i have this problem.
    I have updated the OS and Illustrator yesterday:
    Illustrator Version: 23.0
    OS: Mojave

  8. Templates

    I just upgraded to Illustrator 23.0 and I can't save any templates I get an error message (see attachments) Also my folder with my own templates is missing really annoying Adobe!!!

  9. When moving a vector with a radial gradient fill, the gradient shifts upon export of an SVG

    Gradient appears to be centered in Illustrator, but shifts on export depending on where the vector is located on the artboard/pasteboard (outside the artboard). I have to manually update the SVG markup on all my exported icons. :(

    A sample file would have helped. I applied radial gradient on a circle and exported it to SVG. The visual appearance was matched. There are some limitations in SVG 1.1 spec like absence of blending mode support that can affect.

  10. Asset export drag&drop doesn't work for group contents.

    1. Enter a Group of objects in isolation mode.
      1. drag'n'drop an object or a subgroup into an Asset Export tab

    Expected: object added as Asset for export.
    Observed: the panel is not reacting.

  11. Slow Saving of PDF to Network Share

    Whne trying to save PDF's to a network share the save time varies from instant to nearly 30 seconds. The size of the file does not matter, something small can hang with nearly the same chance of something large. The network share is gig e and the server and SAN are brand new and quite powerful. This issue only happens in Illustrator, no other program both Adobe and other vendor has this issue.

  12. Devanagari scripts

    The use of devanagari scripts in most Creative Suite is really laborious. It took me a long time before finding the way to have a correct display of simple copy/paste from Word or any other source of hindi or sanskrit texts by adjusting, in TWO différents dialog boxes the appropriate settings. I finally found the way to do it but, as I wanted to use a composition in a webpage, I exported my composition as SVG, and the result was just terrible: no word was correctly spelled and I had to retype all of them in Dreamweaver (which has a…

  14. "Export as" not working as expected

    When I use File > Export > Xxport as ...e.g. png, using the "Use artboards" function the "Save As" dialog isn't working properly...

    Firstly, it doesn't save the name I typed exactly... "Version 1.2.png" it somehow uses parts of already existing file names like "Version 1.2_Text.png" which is really weird...

    Secondly, if I use parts of the name of a file that already exists like "Text_Version 1.2.png" in the saving process and Text.png already exists it asks me if I want to overwrite that file...

    If you still have the problem, please share a test file and a strict chain of steps to reproduce the problem, ideally with a video attached the team can follow. Please mention the exact names for the files already existing in the target folder also, if it matters.

  15. Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 for mac crashes when opening file

    My idea is for Adobe to actually fix the problem; I've followed every linked fix to the letter and Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 for mac will open normally. But, when I try to open any file, I get the spinning pinwheel of death and have to Force Quit (Not Responding). Please provide an actual fix. Thanks

  16. Export fails for path item with pattern stroke

    Using File -> Export -> Save for Web or File -> Export -> Export For Screens (at scale greater than 1x) will give an error: "Could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occurred". This error only occurs when this particular item is visible and involved in the area to be exported.
    See attached file and screenshots including that of mentioned path item.

  17. "Save as SVG" exports mojibake-parttern-ID when it contains CJK character

    Illustrator CC 2018 (v22.1) on Windows 7

    When I save the attached document as SVG in any setting, the stripe patterns had gone completely. I checked up the exported SVG file and noticed the pattern ID defines itself correctly, but actual tag id referenced by "xlink:href" attribute is a wrong mojibake-ID.

    And I know this will not happen when use "Export for Screen". It export correctly, but not scriptable. I think it very strange...

  18. svg not opening correctly in Illustrator CC

    When opening a .svg file Illustrator (creative cloud 2018) is opening a blank canvas. However a co-worker who is working off a previous version of illustrator (2015 I think) is able to open the file correctly.

  19. Save for web - image size percentage not working

    When using save for web option, the image size percentage is not changing even when a new number is put in there. It is only saving as 100%. Sometimes it allows me to increase the percentage, but more times then less it saves as 100% no matter what number I type in there. I am using the creative cloud version.

  20. Applying a new graphic style duplicates paths into hidden groups when exported into SVG

    This is a severe bug that ruins SVG export by creating multiple copies of the same paths after switching graphic styles.

    I believe something caused a created graphic style that should have only had a simple fill to create copies of the path when applied to paths.
