Clicking to the side of a (point) text doens't put cursor at the end of line
Illustrator CC 2018
Mac OS X El Capitan and Windows 10This used to work on CS6 (at least on Mac): with type tool selected, having clicked anywhere in the middle of a text (point, not area), if I wanted to go to the end of the line (eg to continue typing), I could click anywhere to the right of the text and the cursor would move to the end of the line.
Now, if I do that, it deselects the text (sometimes creates a new point text.
If I want to continue typing, I have to click exactly just…

most fonts not rendering
I have to continually uninstall and reinstall 75% of my fonts! They show up in the panel, but do not render when selected. This is way beyond aggravating and is taking up hours of my time daily.
These are fonts on my hard drive, not typekit or any other font service. using Windows 10 and Illustrator CC 2018 (happened intermittently with 2017, now it's everytime I open Illustrator or let it sit open for more than a few hours)2 votesClosing the ticket since didn’t hear back from customer.

Text and Objects Randomly Rotating
When I move text or an object, I will always notice they get slightly rotated. It's hard for the eye to see it sometimes, but the guide lines will show that things get slightly rotated sometimes for no reason.

Delay of text cursor
- Illustrator 22.0.0 (64-bit).
- There is a delay in the text cursor showing up when it's moved with arrows or a text path is newly clicked, requiring one to wait for it before being able to continue working.
- The text cursor should be immediately visible.
- There is a delay instead of a couple seconds. (That's a long time when making many moves in a row.)

Editing tabs in Paragraph Styles crashes Illustrator.
Open attached tab_bug.ai file. Open the Paragraph Styles window. Edit the "Windfall back cover" style. Select the Tabs section. Move the tab to the right. Hit OK. Illustrator crashes.
I've already reported this at https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/31228633-demo-version-of-illustrator-crashes-constantly-de?tracking_code=a5435faf1626b3287df8c29b149793c7, but this is stripped down to the minimum possible case.

Variable font with Adobe World-Ready Composers
Variable font dont work with Adobe World-Ready Composers. (Only regular adobe composers) so no variable font on rtl launguage (working perfect on browser)
2 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our release – 23.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Group selection + free transform no longer works on text boxes to resize area without changing text
When I have a textbox open in Illustrator, in the past I could use the group selection tool to select just the box surrounding the type and manipulate that without affecting the text but now the bounding box doesn't even appear when I have the box selected without the type.
Currently to manipulate the box without the type I would need to individually adjust each anchor point on the box, the free transform tool was previously very convenient for working around the fact that there's no actual feature to distinguish between manipulating the text box and the actual type but…

Illustrator Font problem :((
A client's custom font that shows up InDesign and Photoshop is not showing up in Illustrator?!?!?!?!? What is the problem??? And how can I fix this?????
I have Font Book and have never had a problem, now I am trying to reload, restart, test, etc to get the font to show up with no luck.
Any ideas?

After I type text, I can't correct a word. When I click on it it will select a new text box above it. I can only delete the entire text.
After typing a word/paragraph, I can not delete any part of the word except I can select it and delete the entire word/text box. I just got illustrator a couple of months ago and I have always had a problem with it, but now it doesn't work at all. Help!

Changing the Japanese font in the Type tool does not update it.

Adobe Illustrator (Desktop version) 30.2.1Changing the Japanese font in the Type tool does not update it.
This occurs even when "Enable missing glyph protection" is initially set to OFF and no other settings are changed.This does not occur in macOS Vetura13.7.8

Text Converted to Outlines Upon Copy in 2026 with Keyboard Maestro Installed
Adobe Illustrator 2026 (30.0)
macOS Sequoia 15.7.1
Keyboard Maestro 11.0.4When copying a live text object in Adobe Illustrator 2026 (point type, area type, type on a path objects), pasting with CMD+V or Edit > Paste converts the text into outlines when Keyboard Maestro Mac automation software is running.
Quitting Keyboard Maestro Engine stops the behavior so that copying and pasting gives live text in the pasted object.
Disabling com.adobe.svg as a clipboard copy flavor also fixes the problem, allowing copy and paste to preserve live text instead of creating outlines.
This problem does not occur in Illustrator 2025 (29.8.3)…

Illustrator crashes when I double-click a text to edit
These are awful. You are awful. The program has closed 10 times. The reason is I don't want to double-click a text and edit it. I can't get it to work. You're screwed for the program. Every time I double-click a text and try to edit something, the program closes. The world's highest-earning software is a worthless software team.

Fonts not showing after update to 29.8
Intermittent issue there are only a handful of basic fonts avaible to choose from (myriad, arial and a couple others) where as I have thousands installed.
Have downgraded to previous veriosn of illustrator for now (29.7.1) and it works again fine1 vote -
Quit making fonts unavailable (Neuropol)
Almost every time that I open my menus and logos the fonts that I use are no longer available. I used the same Neuropol font for my menus and logos for 14 years before going to the cloud-based software. Since going to cloud based software I have had to resolve the missing Neuropol font to a slightly different variation at least 4 or 5 times. Not only is it annoying and time consuming, it is causing inconsistencies in my brand, and with this current update, it does not work at all.

Installed Fonts not showing
Previously installed fonts not showing anymore. Says the fonts are missing but it worked previously and maybe 1 in 10 times it will have no error and the fonts will show. These fonts exist on my PC so it's not a cloud issue as far as i can see.

Missing fonts are no longer highlighted when file opens
Quand j'ouvre un fichier et que je n'ai pas la police ouverte, avant j'avais le texte en surbrillance ce qui permettait de voir où la police était manquante.
Maintenat j'ai bien la fen^tre qui s'ouvre me disant que la police est manquante, mais je ne vois pas où ?When I open a file and I don't have the font open, I used to have the text highlighted, which allowed me to see where the font was missing.

Text style in a mess when editing text. They appear ok in Preview mode. I can't complete the task or job.
I am trying to edit this text in illustrator 29.7.1. Each time a type, make an amendment to the existing text it scrambles all of the settings and messes everything up (please see screenshots of before and after). I've tried to output to PDF but this also displays in a mess. Please let me know if there is a fix so I don't have to abandon this job and start again. Thanks, D

Morisawa Fontsの和文バリアブルフォントDriveFluxが使えない
いつのバージョンからかMorisawa Fontsの和文バリアブルフォントDriveFluxが急に使えなくなりました。macOS 15.6、Illustrator 2024 29.7.1を使用しています。2024の最初の方は使えてたんですが、どこかのマイナーバージョンアップで急に表示されなくなってしまいました。2025でも使えません。モリサワに相談したところ「こちらではどうしようもないのでAdobeさんに相談してください」とのことでした。ちなみにMonotypeの和文バリアブルフォントは問題ありません。ご対応お願いします。
