Scrolling is not smooth anymore
The scrolling in illustrator is not smooth or fast anymore. I have to swipe way too many times to move a bit around the artboard. Very frustrating. What gives?
I have just updated my OS and Illustrator. (Mohave, Illustrator 2019).

iMac pro
I use a new iMac pro 8 core 32gb. The of Illustrator performance is terrible. I design simple logos (some rectangles and a couple of words) black and white, no pictures, no imported stuff. 4 different Font weights.
After about 15 min of working everything starts to get a really long lag and becomes almost unusable.
I can't believe that this is possible. This is going on for several days. I did several restarts. All the other software I use runs amazing. UI is crazy slow. Commands take forever to execute.

Key Object Performance Issues
When aligning to a complex key object, the performance is terrible. When I click on a complex object (say, a group of complex paths or illustrations) to set it as the key object, it lags for several seconds after clicking before I can click an alignment tool. The length of the lag depends on how complex the key object is. This behavior never occurred in prior versions of illustrator. Very annoying.

Battery impact when Illustrator simply open in background
Simply leaving Illustrator 22.0.1 open in the background, even while not actively using it, causes my MacBook Pro (MacOS High Sierra, 10.13.4) to run hot and drains the battery quickly, about 1% per minute. This limits my ability to use Illustrator without having my computer plugged in. This is easily demonstrated/replicated by having no other applications open. There should be zero CPU usage when Illustrator is simply open in the background and not in use.

Selection tool, bounding box
Square did not fill with the fill color I selected. The objects are all pixelated and not clear. Bounding boxes keep disappearing. Objects moving back to previous positions.

Illustrator 2018 crashes constantly..
Hey there, fellow Illustrator-People,
since yesterday I'm running into an issue that stops me from making any progress on the project I'm currently working on, without any signs of a logical cause here.
I was trying to open up a few recent files I worked on but Illustrator just straight up closes, without any crash pop-up or illustrator re-opening any of the files when getting started again. It's possible to open up illustrator via the app icon, but not via the files I want to edit. I then checked if other files can be opened, and to my surprise, some…

Pixel Loss using Pathfinder (Subtraction)
Hello,
I'm noticing when using the pathfinder subtraction feature I'm getting a loss in pixels in the subtracted object. In this instance I have a design that will be printed on a black shirt. I'm subtracting my top black layer from the layers below. I have attached a screen shot for reference. You can see if you compare the subtracted shape to the top black layer there is a loss of line quality. Basically, you cannot get an EXACT subtraction from one shape to another. Even if you use basic shapes you still have a loss of pixels once subtracted.…

"Type Object Selection by Path Only" no longer works
I've been using this option from the start and the new version (Oct 18) ignores the preference and I have to click down to select objects below the type. VERY annoying.

Trackpad zooming causing an earthquake on Illustrator CC 2018
Zooming in via the trackpad causes an unexpected earthquake-like glitch. Zooming in via keyboard shortcuts work as expected.
Also, at the end of the video, I show off the full screen bug, which has been present since CC 2017 version after updating to High Sierra. This also happens in probably all other applications (its like this too I believe in Ps and Id) Thought that would've been fixed by now! Thanks.

Ctrl+F

Illustrator shows spinning circle - tried everything
I can use the mouse, but the cursor has a spinning wheel even outside Illustrator, and the menus don't work. I've been through checklists about install/reinstall, remove user preference folder, in Illustrator as in other products, I've tried moving all the fonts I could from the fonts folder. I've rebooted multiple times. I've tried reinstalling Illustrator. After doing all this, I get error messages such as "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error (SExi)", "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error (CANT)". I'm currently also using After Effects - I removed the user preferences using the…

Bugged redraw/tearing when drawing a shape causes window to scroll.
- Illustrator CC2017.1.0
- Click and drag with a shape tool (e.g. rectangle) and while dragging move to the edge of the window so it causes it to scroll.
- The window should redraw the newly visible parts of the document as the window scrolls them into view.
- Depending on whether GPU acceleration is enabled or not you get nothing or you get the edge pixels repeated endlessly during the scroll until you release the mouse.

Hitting Alt Makes Cursor Look/Feel Laggy and Slow
This has been going on for MANY years/versions of Illustrator and I've seen many posts here about the issue but it's yet to be resolved or have any work arounds.
All you have to do to replicate the bug is to hit alt (don't even need to hold it) and assuming you're on a high refresh rate monitor you will instantly feel input lag and see the cursor moving at what appears to be 30fps or less, until you left click with mouse, then it will go back to normal. When you hit ALT there should be no difference in…
