Average Path Behavior changed in Illustrator 2020
It's pretty simple. Press the key command for Path/Average. The dialog pops up. Options are Both, Horizontal, or Vertical. The way it used to work was that you could press the cursor key on your keyboard for up, just once and it would land on vertical. Press again for Horizontal. But in 2020, it's different. Press "up" arrow once for Vertical. Press again and it remains on Vertical. Cancel the whole window and start over. First click is lost when focusing the window
Windows, when Illustrator isn't focused, clicking inside the window, the click is lost, another click is needed to perform the intended action. Annoying, because the second click is treated as double click.
To reproduce:
Open Illustrator and move the window to the left. Open another program, for example a text editor. Clicking in the illustrator window over a text (with the intent of copying the text causes just focusing the window, the text itself isn't selected. Only the second click selects the text.2 votes -
Open-file window has to be manually selected to select file by name via keyboard
Normally when I got to open a file I select Command O, it brings up the file browser and I start typing then name of the file I need. Now I have to manually click on the file window before it will start recognizing keyboard input.

Character Panel Typing Font Names Manually Issue
When trying to type certain font names manually in the first field the placement of the letters jumps to the wrong spot.
When I type "Arial Bold", "Arial Regular", or "Cooper Black" the cursor or text placement seems to fail and not type the text in order from left to right. I saw one other post here with a similar issue but it could not be reproduced. This is the first time I have seen this so far on the new Illustrator CC 2020. Window snaps out of view when switching from external monitor
MBP, OSX Mojave, when using an external monitor with the laptop screen closed everything is cool, unplug the laptop and use built in screen everything is cool.
Once I plug the laptop back into the external monitor with the lid closed AI will snap off screen someplace.
If I use the mission control gesture (swipe up with 3 fingers) the window appears and I can drag it to another desktop, but then it assumes the same position off screen on the new desktop.
The only workaround I have found is to unplug the monitor, resize the window and then plug…

Panels, windows not updating or displaying correctly
Finding this bug a lot recently. Basically I will be working in a file and the tool panels won't display, you can right click and see the the pop ups but nothing appears. Likewise if you have two or more documents open and switch between them, the screen stays the same. It says I'm on the new document but it doesn't change. The only way to fix it is to close and restart the program. I also get it with photoshop. Both at work and home. Make Hide Edges shortcut work when in Dialog (Swatch Options, Transform Each, etc)
In some operations (e.g. Transform Each), we discover that the selection edges are influencing the perception of the preview. It would be nice when the Hide Edges command can be triggered while still in such an operation, in stead of leaving the function, turn off Edges, and repeat.

Illustrator looses workspace settings
Good day. My problem is that I worked for a very long time in Adobe Photoshop (cs3,4,5,6, cc). But Ai surprised me - to make a backup of the workspace I have to go to AppData / Roaming / Adobe / Illustrator etc. and make a copy of the folder, because when I open a new document, I get a completely different space. (Export/import settings do not help) Why can’t you transfer the settings to the program, and not to the open document? Popup dialogs disappear
This issue has been happening to me for some time now, despite updating to the newest version. Any modal dialog window popup decides that it wants to disappear to some netherworld as they pop up for a fraction of a second before falling into oblivion. This issue has caused me to lose lots of time recreating work that would not save due to this bug. This happens almost daily and without any prompting. Please fix this bug!

Zoomed out of properties panel
I think I was holding command + scrolling on the magic mouse while hovering over the properties panel. Now it's super small and I can't zoom out.
Your expected result : To scroll down to reveal more in the properties panel
Your actual result: UI of Properties panel scaled down in size.

Illustrator window is bordered with red
In some cases, Illustrator shows a red line around the window.
I run Illustrator 23.0.4 on MacOs Mojave 10.14.5
I don't want disable GPU performance to hide it, I will lose performance doing so.
I think it's a glitch, because if I press "F" two times, the red line it's gone.

Document window opens as narrow strip, will not expand to full width
Every document. Every time.
Multiple documents stack inside this narrow window.
Documents set to open in tabs.
Same regardless if Illustrator is opened first or opens with document.

Character scroll bar
The character scroll bar stopped working. If I click to change the font there is no scroll bar, nor is there a size option. I am on Windows 10 (64 bit Home) using the latest Illustrator (23.0.0 64 bit). I uninstalled and reinstalled and still have this problem I am using two screens, and have found that if i move the character window to the other screen and reset it, I can get the scroll bar back temporarily so this seems to have to do with dual screen setup

Uniform (centered) Scale // Bounding Box // Wacom Driver Issues
Uniform (centered) scale issues while using the bounding box together with "shift+option" keys (Mac OS) for scaling, seem to occure while having older Wacom Drivers installed. It does not happen when working with a Mouse or using the Touch Pad for Example on a Wacom Intuos Touch. Pen input only reproduces this issue with older drivers.
