Fitting an artboard to a path with a Freeform Gradient creates invisible border. It seems to create space around the path when fitting — only seems to be an issue with freeform gradients.

Split Into Grid adds printable lines instead of guides
In Split Into Grid window there's an option to "add guides". But instead of guides lines are added that have standard stroke — printable lines that are conveniently in neutral greenish color 0,1 pt stroke and look like guides so it's easy to miss that.

Finder Apps and Adobe Bridge no longer open Adobe Illustrator
Something changed with the last update that altered the default association between Illustrator files and the application. I first noticed it when my barcode app failed to launch Illustrator upon export—something that had been working perfectly for years. Then, I encountered the same issue in Adobe Bridge: every time I double-click a .ai file, it simply won’t open.
After investigating, I discovered that the default file association for .ai files had been changed to something called IllustratorDiagnosys (see screenshot). Manually changing this back to Adobe Illustrator within Bridge resolved the issue inside that app, but external applications and links are…

Adobe Illustrator recovered files... but they're not showing up, anywhere.
Adobe Illustrator recovered files... but there not showing up. And not in a Temp Folder. I tried restarting the app and it says that it was recovered. But when pressed ok nothing shows up.

Hidden objects wrongly get sent to back when duplicating artboards
When I alt-drag to duplicate an artboard where I have hidden an object on the artboard, it moves the hidden object(s) to the back. The bug doesn't work if the hidden object is all the way in front.
This is very frustrating, as I frequently hide objects and duplicate artboards, and it's causing everything to suddenly be out of order.
To replicate problem
- create a few stacked shapes in an artboard
- hide one of the objects (not the top object)
- with the artboard tool, alt-drag to duplicate the whole artboard
- show all objects

Rearrange artboard does not work with large artboards...
Having an issue with the Rearrange All Artboards feature when using very large art boards. See attached screenshot. Two artboards, one 6x16ft and one 3x9ft. Rearrange All Artboards using columns only seem to give an error of: "Rearrangement would take some artboards out of canvas bounds." even though the artboard could be arranged manually with the same settings.
Unrelated: Can you PLEASE allow uploading of videos again (specifically webm). It really helps when trying to communicate bugs and feature requests).

Illustrator doesnt let me "Save as" or open a new file on Macbook M1
I have a Macbook air M1 with MacOs Monterey 12.2.1, Illustrator up to date 26.2.1 and for months I had been having an issue that happens anytime, when I want to Save as a file nothing happens or when I want to open a file directly from Illustrator nothing happens as well. And when it's a new file without a name it only let me saves it to Cloud when I close the doc. Can't open AI files until I delete settings
Every time I try to open a file, I get the beach ball of death...spinning forever.
I've discovered the only way to get illustrator (beta or release versions) to open a file again is to delete the settings in the Library and restart AI/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator version-number Settings

Trim View gets disabled when switching artboards with Pixel Preview on
In a document with multiple artboards and bled artwork.
In Pixel Preview Mode, Turn on Trim View. Select a Different Artboard. Trim View Turns Off.With no shortcut for Trim View this means you have to go back to the menu for every artboard you click. If you're working with 15+ artboards this process becomes tedious.

Zoom difetto
Con l'aggiornamento del sistema operativo Mac OS 12 non si riesce ad avvicinare con lo zoom, il valore dipende dal file da 400%, si files più leggeri si arriva a 600%

Artboard Options - Constrain Proportions Bug (Illustrator v25.4.1)
When I make an additional artboard using Shift + O, I click then drag the new artboard and when you hold Shift it constrains the new board to the same as the board made previously, like a rectangle. Holding Shift should make a square.
This issue occurs regardless of the Constrain Proportions box being checked or not.

Illustrator 25.4.1再現手順：
1.アートボードを2つ以上作成
2.アートボードウインドウの「ずべてのアートボードを再配置」にて間隔を裁ち落としが重なる形で、完全に隣接する値で適用する。（裁ち落としが四方3mmであれば、間隔は-6mm)
3.アートボードウインドウの「新規アートボード」ボタンにてアートボードを作成する。
4.Illustratorが強制終了する。アートボード間に少しでも隙間がある場合は再現せず。当方の環境では同様の手順で例外なく強制終了しました。

ご報告いただきました問題について検証した結果、以下の条件で Illustrator がフリーズする現象を確認いたしました。
複数アートボードを再配置する際に、アートボードエリアの間隔を「0mm 以下」に設定し、その後、新規アートボードを追加するとフリーズし応答しなくなる。
裁ち落としの有無に関係なく、アートボードエリアが重なる設定だと発生します。
Illustrator ver.25.4.1、ver.24.3 の macOS と Windows の両方で再現いたしました。今後、追跡調査を行います。
開発に進捗がありましたら、こちらでご報告いたします。よろしくお願いいたします。

Convert to Artboards doesn't work if there are Sublayers on the same Layer
I get the following error message when I try to convert a Rectangle to an Artboard when the rectangle exists on a layer that also contains a Sublayer:
"To create Artboards, select non-rotated rectangles that are not clipping masks."

Rotated Artboard
BUG: Some how the artboard is rotated and unable to keep it straight. The entire document is rotated and it is difficult to work that way. Can this be fixed ASAP?

Illustrator Version 25.3.12 votesIllustrator can rotate the view. Perhaps you accidentally did that with adding Shift while panning with Space held?
It can be reset with the field in the bottom left corner, next to Zoom level, or with the View > Reset Rotate View command.

Extremely slow to drag items, zoom in and out shows glitches
Mac OS Catalina, ver. 10.15.7
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports), 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MBIllustrator: 25.2.3
Illustrator is very slow at times and shows the rainbow wheel when I'm trying to move objects (even simple ones) around the artboard.
Also when zooming in and out the artwork becomes glitched (shows some fragments duplicated or parts of the artwork disappear). Restarting the program temporarily fixes the issue.2 votes -
Artboard size doesn’t match the trim box in Acrobat
This file has an artboard size of 10mm in Illustrator, yet when opened in Acrobat the trim box shows as 10.283mm rather than 10mm. Why is this?

Illustrator 25.2.1 Keeps losing links to images
I have a document that contains many imported images, every time I close it and reopen it I have to relink all of the images again. The links panel shows me the file name and the path but all that is on the artboard is a black square.
It has also been crashing more lately so of course I have to relink the images when I get it back up again.
Embedded images seem to stay but as we all know the file size is going to get crazy.

Actual Size View not to depend on Artboard
Actual Size View command (cmd+1) brings you to 100% Artboard view instead of 100% current view. If you are drawing way off any artboard, that command takes you to a completely different place from where you are.
Instead, I expect this command to have the same result as typing 100% in Navigator window or double-clicking Zoom tool.
I would also appreciate it if it respected the settings in Prefs>Selection>Zoom to Selection checkbox (currently the zoom box at the bottom of the window respects that, but the same box in Navigator panel doesn’t — which also looks like a bug).
