  1. Error loading plugins. TorqExtension.aip

    I get two errors when I first open up Illustrator. This is the second one I receive. It appears every time I open Illustrator CC 2018. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator from Creative Cloud, but it still appears on startup. I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit machine as well.

  2. "CANT" ERROR

    Have updated to newest version of Illustrator and now get this warning on launch. Program does open but with no preset preferences available.

    Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but there is no improvement.

  3. Illustrator will not start. Adobe Illustrator quit unexpectedly during the previous launch....Run Diagnostics or Launch Ilustrator

    Illustrator was working fine for the last year on this computer and yesterday decided it did not want to start anymore. All other adobe products open just fine, except illustrator. I've been searching for the last hour for answers and nothing. What gives adobe.

    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, adobe cc cleaner, deleted prefs, and still keeps crashing.

    Here's what happens:
    1. Click on launch Illustor from Creative Cloud app. The Creative cloud app blinks for a second as if its trying to open illustrator but nothing.
    2. Click on Launch again. Popup - Adobe Illustrator quit unexpectedly....Click Run Diagnostics…

  4. Launching Ai without the application frame places the document window behind the tool panel

    When I startup Illustrator without the application frame it often misplaces my document so it's tucked behind the tools panel — sometime it is where it is supposed to be.

    Mac OS 10.12.6, AI 23.0.1

  6. All Adobe apps hang on launch

    Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign are not opening.. its hanging when i start software. pls fix it. It suddenly happened.
    I am not able to work my files since past 3 days.. I tried uninstall & install, but still same. Pls fix asap.

  8. dxcore.dll not found

    Illustrator won't open due to "dxcore.dll not found".
    I have been on forums and many people have posted about this.
    Seems to be an issue with the latest update as the posts are quite recent.
    Temporarily fixed by reinstall of Illustrator. As yet, have found no permanent solution.

  10. Wacom Driver Error

    There is a Wacom Driver error every time we open Illustrator, but there has never been a Wacom device on this new PC, and it is not enabled in Devices, It happens every time it is loaded. Support have removed and re-installed but the error persists.

  11. Slow opening of Illustrator.

    I have had the following problem for a few years now (therefore different versions of Illustrator, let's say from 2020-2023).

    When I start Illustrator, opening the first (I specify the first) document that is an Empty table or an already existing document that Ai takes an exaggerated amount of time! Then, after this step, the other documents are opened in normal times.
    This happens to me from different versions of the software, and it also happens if I close the software and restart it to open a document, or if I start Ai after restarting my computer.

  13. Illustrator don't work after Mac OS update

    I'm using mac mini m1 with the latest Ai CC update (26.4.1). But after the OS update (12.5.1) I can't get Ai to work, it stuck at startup screen, cant click to any menu or button (video included). I had to roll back to 25.1 (intel) version to continue my works. What should I do?

  15. Illustrator 2022 DOES NOT OPEN.

    This new Illustrator update DOES NOT WORK. Just installed the new 2022 update yesterday 11/01, and it worked for half the day, and in the second half, the app refused to open. Tried again this morning 11/02, and there was a small update to Illustrator, so in hopes of fixing the issue from yesterday, I installed the update, and guess what, still broken.     This is embarrassing and incredibly sad to hear. I can’t imagine to be cut off a my main tool when I need it.
    I guess the only option you can try is to clean all the traces of previous versions installed with the Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html), install 2021 version and hope it work.
    So sorry it happened, and I wish I could do more.
    Please add votes to this if you experience the same issue, it will help to initiate a proper investigation.

    All Illustrator tools panel, workspaces, saved workspace windows and control area disappears at startup. A complete reinstall of the program does not fix bug.

  20. Workspaces don't load when CC updates

    Every time CC updates AI, my custom workspaces don't work. Either:
    a) the toolbar on the right side of the screen doesn't load at all, and going to the Window menu and clicking on the palettes I want shows them checked but they don't show up, or
    b) the right toolbar shows up collapsed, but clicking on the palette's icon does not open it up. I have to expand the entire toolbar to use the palettes.
