Hi,
Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. We are not able to reproduce this issue at our end and need your help.
1. Is it happening in all files or only complex files? Would it be possible for you to share the file in which you are facing this issue?
2. Can you please share the video of the problem?
3. On which version of Illustrator and OS are you working? Please share the details on sharewithai@adobe.com

I am closing the ticket due to lack of response.
Please get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com or any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Please give a reference to this post so that we can identify you.
Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.Andrea supported this idea · -

So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.
While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.
Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment Andrea commentedDoes this work for anyone? This beta build doesn't seem to resolves the issue for me. (23.0.0 on Mac Sierra)
An error occurred while saving the comment Andrea commentedI noticed this has to do something with the new shape widget, which you can't really disable in general.
Workaround: If you have one of those simple shapes behaving awkward:
Got to: Object > Shape > Expand Shape.
Gets you back to the "normal" behavior, for this particular shape.Still needs to be fixed though. Wacom somehow is getting confused by these kind of shapes.
An error occurred while saving the comment Andrea commentedSame issues here. Just startet with CC a month ago and can't believe what's going on on my display. How can anyone work with this....For now I decided to go back to Illustrator CS6 in order to get my work done efficiently without going crazy.
Working on Sierra 10.12.6, Intuos Pro and also Intuos 4, driver 6.3.27-2. I tried different older wacom drivers, and older Mac OS - same thing. CS6 running perfectly, CC (2017, 2018) not.Mouse working properly, so it makes me believe it's a wacom problem.
Haven't been using a mouse for years, so that's not an option.Interesting though CS6 is not affected, regardless which tablet or driver.
A solution for this issue would make me very happy.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

you're welcome Sara. I've been there, and know that feeling ;-)
No Idea why it isn't showing by default.
