1. Relative math operations with defined and mixed values in input fields

   When you have several objects with different parameters in your selection, Illustrator would show nothing in the input field controlling this parameter.
   For example, if you have two paths selected, one having 1 pt stroke weight, and another with 4 pt — Ai would show nothing in Weight in Stroke panel, meaning it’s a 'mixed value'.

   What if we could focus this field, type '+5' in it, and get 1+5=6 for one path and 4+5=9 for the other?

   Why not making it work for similar value as well? Instead of putting the cursor after the, say '2.25 pt' and type '+2' so it goes '2.25 pt+2', when we could just replace it with '+2', with no aiming?

2. Object > Repeat > Mirror needs options for Flipping

   Currently the only assignable option for "Repeat > Mirror," is the angle of symmetry. The option to flip the mirrored object (similar to the "Reflect," tool) would be useful for Mirror. Example: Illustrating the letter "S," or "Z," for asymmetrical designs. Similar options are already implemented in the "Repeat > Grid," function, but aren't present for "Repeat > Mirror".

3. Add option when creating New View to opt out from changing zoom level

   The custom Views is a godsend for complex artwork, but sometimes it would be nice to keep the zoom level and toggle only the Layers settings (visibility, lock status, etc). So either an option when saving the custom View, or a program-wide preference setting would be highly appreciated. In this way, the request for a layer visibility toggle shortcut could also be partially addressed.

5. Make 'Recent fonts' section in Character palette work alongside with selecting current font in font list

   Recently AI made focus in font list in Character palette jump to the top of the list, in 'Recent fonts' part, thus making impossible to browse fonts in alphabetical order — you have to scroll font list manually to position.

   This is stupid.

   In 22.1.0 this request has been realized:

   Now user can set '0' in Preferences to completely eliminate 'Recent' section in font list — and this magically 'fixes' selection of current font in context.

   This is stupid.

   I personally want to use BOTH 'Recent fonts' AND current font focusing.
   I don't care about it won't be selected in Recent: just show me chosen number of recent font options above the line (without selection), make it fixed (or make it go away right after I start scrolling) and select current font in the main list.

   Just like CorelDraw does it (see the image attached).
   Don't do as Microsoft Word does (it actually does it wrong too).

   The latest Beta Build 29.6.91 introduces first changes to the way how recent font section works. Now Ai tries to find the position of the currently chosen font in the main list.

   There are several known issues.

   • If you deselect a text and select it again — Ai will still jump to the recent section’s font when we open the dropdown
   • The recent section is not fixed and gets scrolled while navigating the list, making the access to recent fonts harder that it is now in the General build

   Please try to test it and leave comments.

6. Relative paths for linked assets

   An option to use relative paths for linked assets. Because links use absolute paths, simply moving the folder your artwork is in will break the links unless the links are in the same folder. For example:

   c:\artwork\project-1234\layout.ai
   c:\artwork\project-1234\assets\logo.jpg
   c:\artwork\standard-title-block.ai

   If logo.jpg and standard-title-block.ai are both linked to inside of layout.ai, renaming the project folder will break the links. Moving the project folder will break the links.

   Instead of storing the link paths absolutely, store them relatively. This way at least renaming the folder will preserve both links and moving the folder will only break links that point to file outside of the project directory structure.

   Adding Pages/Sheets like in Excel for better organization of large jobs. I work at a sign company and frequently come across large jobs that I would like to keep organized.

   For example let's use a job I am on right now. It is a job for hospital signage. Over 500 signs in total and let's say 15 departments. Some departments have upto 20 signs. While artboards work well in this instance it would be nice if I could have the option to organize the departments with "sheets" instead of individual files. My reasoning behind this is when I have to make global changes, (let's use color for example) it would be easier to have the option to select color on all sheets and change it to a new color.

8. Is there an option to set single keys and function keys as hotkeys?

   Is there an option to set single keys and function keys as hotkeys?

   I'm used to another vector drawing program in conjunction with Illustrator and that program has some very easy to use hotkeys that are essential for shape alignments, like C for horizontal centering, E for vertical centering, B for bottom of a shape and T for top, etc. On Illustrator I can't set a single keyboard key as a hotkey for the alignment functions without the use of Ctrl or Shift before the key. That's just a no go for me.

   And since I use F5 as a command on one of my mouse's side buttons, I would love to use it as a hotkey for the selection tool on Illustrator, but it doesn't let me set function keys as hotkeys.
   Look, Adobe developers... If I have to adapt to the program instead of it giving me the options to adapt it to my preferences, then it makes no sense for a user to pay for the program.

   And yes, those options are perfectly possible and probably easy to implement.

   The big question here is why these options are not yet present after SO MANY versions of Illustrator?

9. 白色底的文档导出缺少边界 / A way to export an image with canvas color visible when Use Artboard option is disabled

   当画板为白色底时，右键“导出所选项目”，导出的文件没有边界，无法分辨单个项目。
   目前的解决方法是在画板上添加一个有描边的矩形，但是当有多个画板时这个方法会比较麻烦。另外一种方法是每个画板单独导出一张图片，再整合到一个文档里，这样也会增加很多工作量。希望团队能有更好的方案。
   使用场景举例：当给客户提案或预览整体效果时，需要将多个画板同时导出到一个文件（png或jpg），这时如果画板底色为白色，就无法分辨边界。

10. Artboards do not snap to whole pixels

    When the snap to pixel option is turned on and I use the Artboard Tool dragging the corner of the artboard results in random decimals.
    Say if my artboard is 512x512 and I drag a corner out it will now be dragging at every pixel but with a random decimal rather than a integer. this decimal will be the same at every snapped pixel until I let go. at this point if I move it again a new random decimal will be added.

    These two screenshots show issue values. take not it is random and the X and Y values do not always match.

    I am using Illustrator 22.0.0 (64-bit)

    and windows 10 pro Version 1511

    When the snap to pixel option is turned on and I use the Artboard Tool dragging the corner of the artboard results in random decimals.

    The process of replacing missing links could be less tedious if Illustrator would auto-fill the name of the file in the search bar of the file browser. For me, it is often easier to perform a search for the file name rather than navigating through multiple depths of folders. An option to auto-fill the file name rather than manually typing it would make this regular task much smoother.

    I regularly collaborate with other designers and am constantly re-linking files when someone else has created or edited the design file or when projects are re-organized. So the task of replacing missing links really adds up.

13. Add more options to preferences

    Every time you guys change something on these programs it seems to affect me. Most of the time it is not in a good way. I believe this could be solved by allowing the user more options in preferences to turn on and off these options.
    For instance.
    You changed the way the the zoom in and zoom out works. It used to be it would just zoom out directly from where you are but now it zooms out from the object selected which is very annoying.
    I'm sure that works for some people but if it was a preference option they you could set it to your liking.
    I just downloaded the new version yesterday and right off the bat I noticed the align tool does not stay on the align to artboard like it used to. I align constantly when I design and would like the option to change the align to option without it changing on its own to default align to selection.
    Personally I use all the options just would like it to stay on the last selection I made until I change it. This could also be resolved by allowing an option in preferences. I think you should make all options that are changed like these a preference option. That's my two cents.

16. Isolation mode fading also in Outline mode

    Since Outline mode can be (sometimes for me) get displayed with GPU, with antialiasing, I think dimming the art can also be done.

17. Different Customizable Shape Gradient Constraints

    Much like the flexibility of the radial gradient feature, it would be incredibly helpful to have a similar tool to make gradients, but one that does not constrain you to a circle or ellipse. Yes, AI provides the freeform gradient tool and the gradient mesh tool, but these are often a little finicky and time consuming to use. One can also use the blend tool to attempt a freeform gradient. All of these are far too complicated for creating such simple gradients. I propose that a customizable shape gradient tool is implemented. Like the other gradient tools, one would create the shape, then apply the gradient fill. However, for each gradient stop, you could create and move a dotted gradient boundary. The color would radiate from the first custom shaped stop to a custom shaped second stop. Here is an example of what I mean: (please excuse the rushed illustration)

18. File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, to have even faster PDF export options

    Starting with build 28.6, we can now Export As PDF (thanks to this request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32841790)

    This works alongside with a pervious lesser known method: Save a Copy, as PDF.

    However, exporting a PDF copy to make a quick 'snapshot' still feels slow — we get a dialog and have to choose a preset we want to use.

    Meanwhile InDesign offers a handy configurable menu that allows to skip format options and go with a chosen preset, like the attached screenshot shows.

    Please make a similar menu.

    Ho un box di testo con alcuni caratteri rossi ed alcuni caratteri neri.
    Voglio copiare tutte le specifiche di testo (font, ecc.) da un altro blocco di testo con lo strumento contagocce senza modificare i colori del box di destinazione.
    Vedo che dallo strumento contagocce ci sarebbe la possibilità di escludere/includere il rilevamento del colore, ma quando si applica al box di destinazione tutto il testo contenuto diventa di un unico colore....

    One can disable this behavior in Preferences > General, 'Show The Home Screen When No Documents Are Open' option.

    If disabling it still makes the home screen show up for you — please make a comment.
