Still Unchanged. Doesn't work.
Can Someone from Adobe call someone from Apple and solve this question?
All Adobe Users have this same issue.

Same here. macOS 11.5.1 Adobe Illustrator 25.3.1.
When I copy text in Illustrator document I can't paste it in Save As dialog as file name.
Also, in Save As dialog the file name is not selected. This is awkward when you want to save a file with a different file name.
When the file name is selected, the extension is also selected. I used to be able to add tect to a file name easily by tapping the left arrow key, the cursor would moeve between the file name and extension. Now it moves to the and of the file name including the extension. So I have to move 3-4 positions back and then add text or a number. Very annoying!!!

This is still happening and it's incredibly frustrating. Big Sur, Illustrator 25.2.1
I need this fix for work, it slows down productivity and increases the chances of human error when dealing with numerical filenames.

I'm having the same issue! The Catalina update messed this up in Illustrator, but InDesign and Photoshop work just fine.

What is the point of having a feedback forum when Adobe continues to ignore the feedback given. It has been well over a year since this problem surfaced, and every update I am checking to see if the problem has been fixed, but nothing. This is a super amateur problem, and it's extremely frustrating from a consumer perspective to have to deal with it. As a production artist, this slows my production down significantly. Get with it Adobe!

In all but the two more recent releases of Illustrator, text on the clipboard could be pasted into the Save as or Export as or New Folder name fields. This was very very helpful and I have had scripts built around this for years. But now those fields don't accept clipboard contents. The copied text is in the clipboard and can be pasted anywhere else. Just no longer in the name fields in save as, export, or new folder fields, when saving/exporting. Can you please change that back?

Illustrator 25.1
MacOS 10.15.7When opening / saving a file, issuing the shortcut shift - command - G brings up a dialog to enter a path as a string. Ordinarily you can then paste a path into the field with command - V. In illustrator the pasting action fails with a system beep. This issue is only happening in Illustrator. Other apps function as expected (including Adobe apps eg After Effects and Photoshop).

It is not fixed yet. I can't even make a new folder from the Save As command. This is getting out of control. Cmd + Shift + N once in the "Save as" menu does not work in the latest version of illustrator 24.0.3.

Same here. Unable to use shortcut Cmd + Shift + N to create a new folder. Dramatically cripples my production speed as I would shortcut-create a new folder, name it and hit "SAVE." Now, if I don't watch myself and my conditioned reflexes, I will rename the file i'm saving something like "PRINT.pdf" and save it in the work in progress or client files folder. Big mess.
