1. How about not releasing Illustrator chock full of bugs?

   I'd like to choose a category, but it's multiple at this point. The main ones...

   • Bounding box randomly disappears. I turn it on. It randomly turns off.
   • I select text and go to change factors and the changes affect other text that's not even selected.
   • Photoshop completely changed the sizing to no longer require shift to preserve aspect ratio, which is unnecessary and fixing the things not broken, but if you're gonna do it in one app, do it in all. Kinda ridiculous to jump between programs and not have same functionality.
   • If I go from dual monitors to single, canvas windows are somewhere off screen. This is on Photoshop too, and is eternally frustrating.

   Illustrator is definitely the most buggy of all the Adobe software, and the bugs are just random, so no way to ensure I can reproduce, but always have to restart to get back to normal functionality. Lasts for about 20 minutes. This last version is buggier than the last, which begs to wonder who's testing and fixing bugs in the first place?

2. Bizarre Blending Behavior

   When blending from one object to another, everything works great unless I want to expand the shapes, and then things get a little bizarre. i use this tool quite a bit and when expanding my blends, since CC 2019, I've never had a problem until now.

   Not sure how to fix this other than rebuild the shapes... but this time it's a simple shape. Other times, it was not. Very inconvenient. Bewildered.

3. Pattern Editing Mode Swatch Width and Height max out at 4000px

   Pattern Editing mode lets the user create swatch tiles over 4000px, but does not give you the size of the tile over 4000px. I noticed this first with rectangular pattern that was forcing my computer to crash on edit. I confirmed this behavior by opening a new file creating a 60 in by 60 in square. Pattern was created fine, but the width and height of the swatch still maxed out at 4000px. AI 2018 22.1

7. Uninstalling old version breaks windows preview handler for new version.

   When uninstalling an older version of illustrator, the windows preview handler for AI files gets removed such that it no longer functions for newer versions of illustrator that are already installed. The only resolution is to uninstall the newer version and reinstall which can be a pain, or manually modify the registry entries to assign the PDF handler to AI files.

10. Possible Bug - Crop Image Auto Resizing Crop Box in New CC Illustrator 2019

    I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just a poorly executed new feature, but in the new Illustrator CC 2019 when you have a raster image in the file and you go to "Crop Image" the crop marquee automatically changes to a random size and shape instead of remaining at the edges of the image. I'm not sure if there is some hidden feature where it is trying to automatically detect where you might crop the image to by detecting the image edges, but this is super annoying when you are trying to do something like just adjusting the image dpi.
    It was perfectly fine in the last version. The only thing that could improve is that when you adjust the image dpi it would add white edges to some sides of the image. It would be nice if it would be more like the image size adjustment in photoshop. Or if it simply had a feature like in InDesign where you can choose to edit the image in photoshop and when you exit out it updated the image in the illustrator file.

    You are referring to the content aware crop feature: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html#ContentAwareCrop

    To turn this feature off please visit the Preference dialog (CMD+K) and turn off “Enable Content Aware defaults”

    If I may suggest a workflow for you.
    1. Use linked images, they not only are fast but also save disk space.
    2. If you already have embedded images in your file, please use the unembed feature of Illustrator to export and link files automatically for you.
    3. All linked images have this feature of Edit Original where you can edit images in a software of your choice like Photoshop.
    4. If you have to share files to other users please make use of File menu>Package feature to collect everything including linked images and fonts in one directory.

11. Crash Reporter has UX issues

    Crash Repoert text field does not allow cursor movement by arrow keys or pos1, end,...
    Email format validation is wrong, as it does not allow hyphens.
    Check email format on exiting the field, not on submit.

    Just build a good way to report bugs with a good UX.

12. Image Trace over a white square on color mode with 2 colors crashes Illustrator

    This is a bug that happens on all versions of Illustrator, even CC 2019, and regardless of OS.
    It's very specific, but here are the steps:
    Create a new document. Color Mode doesn't matter.
    Draw a square with only a white fill.
    Rasterize it. Resolution and color mode doesn't matter.
    Run Image Trace on it
    In the Image Trace settings, set the Mode to Color and the number of colors set to 2.
    Illustrator will crash.
    Try it out! The expected result is probably just the same as if the number of colors was set to 3 or anything else because it's still only one color.

13. Sellection tool won't let me resize shapes

    I installed the new version of illustrator and since that I can´t resize shapes, text boxes, basically everything...
    I've alredy tried to uninstall and reinstall and I can´t still resize shapes

14. Selector tool glitch — element selected and deselected at once

    Sometimes, elements will incorrectly be deselected, getting them into a strange state where they are seen as unselected in the layers panel, but being displayed as selected on the canevas. Most operations will not affect it (move and scale), but some, including align, will produce strange, incoherent results. It either stops at random or does not, needing a restart of Illustrator to be able to resume editing.

    It has happened multiple times already over the last weeks, and I cannot see a pattern to it's occurence. Just now it happened while navigating the history where elements were being grouped/ungrouped and transformed multiple times.

16. Keyboard doesn't register shortcuts

    My Illustrator CC 2018 (last update) has a bug with the keyboard. It happens after couple of hours working on a project then the keyboard doesn't register any shortcut from the panel. The only way to fix this is to restart my Mac. Is there solution for this bug?

17. Illustrator CC 2018 crashes, when process runs in Batch.

    I have a programmed a project that involves opening document, doing some changes, saving and closing the document. And again this process repeats on around 500 documents. Illustrator crashes.

    the scale tool that we use to transform an object does not work. I have to uninstall the program to see it again and sometimes that does not repair it

19. Expanded shapes get an additional redundant anchor point

    Example:
    1. Draw a square with a stroke set to the inside or outside (doesn't matter which as long as the stroke isn't centred)
    2. Expand the square and instead of the 8 anchor points you would expect the compound shape to have, the expanded square has 10 anchor points.
    The top right corners have 2 anchor points each, created directly on top of each other.

    This happens with ANY shape with corners and a stroke that isn't centred.

    You can't see the extra anchor point directly because it is in exactly the same location as the correct anchor point.

    To prove there is an extra anchor point, switch to the Direct Selection tool and you'll see that all the corners except the top right corners have a Corner Widget. The top right has no corner widgets because technically there is no corner - there is no path that changes direction because the anchor points are directly on top of each other.

    You can also prove there are 2 anchor points instead of 1 by using the Astute Graphics tools. When the corner is selected the Astute info panel shows 2 anchor points selected when it looks on screen like there is just 1 anchor point selected. You can the use Astute tools to remove the extra anchor point and Voila the corner widgets reappear and the shape now has its correct number of anchor points!

20. Illustrator 22.1 crashes on quit

    Every time I close illustrator the application stops responding and I have to close through the task manager. I've already tried to delete preferences and install the application again. The problem occurred after upgrading Windows 10 to April update 2018.
    My configuration
    Windows 10 1803 (build 17134.1)
