Will deselect anything that is not visible
Since the last update if you have a long file and want to select a big chink of it everything has to be visible while selecting. Otherwise, if I start dragging from the middle let's say and have to scroll until I get till the end of the document/artboard, everything that went off screen get deselected and I'm only left with the last chunk of content that is visible. Slows down a lot working on web designs when you have to move a big chunk of content around because you've changed something before it.

The software is glitching and refusing to open certain Illustrator files.
I have to quit and open the software multiple times before I can get one file to open in this latest update.

Hard crash GPU rendering MBP2016 - High Sierra
I run a cleanly installed MBP2016:
High Sierra 10.13.4
3.3GHz i7
16GB ram
1TB SSDIllustrator Version 22.1
On the current version of OS en Illustrator, but also for the past couple of releases I have experienced very frequent hard crashes of Illustrator when GPU preview is enabled.
At random times, Illustrator will freeze, immediately after the entire system and only a hard reboot will bring it back.
The phenomenon is frequent yet completely random (no obvious triggers).
Disabling GPU preview immediately stops this from occurring.
No obvious logs are generated during the event but I can run sysdiagnose if…

Change color in scaled dynamic symbols looses strokes scale
When you place a symbol and scale it, of course, its strokes are scaled.
But if the symbol was dynamic, and you try to change the color, then all the other parts MIGHT get their own stroke "unscaled".
Look at the video below where all my shapes strokes reverted back to 24px instead of 50% scale (12px) If I had a more complex set of items, I can't imagine how to use dyn symbols at all, that's sad.

layer panel crashes
Scrolling in the layers panel on the laptop crashed illustrator
and all the images disappeared from the recovered file.
my illustrator version is 22.1 64bit.
i am running win10 64 bit up to date.

White spot and white line always appear up when I working and when I do an other things it will move into other position
At the beginning it is work normal as usually then when I add something or move something there will happen a white line and white spot or missing part of my work and I try to ignored them but it will change position

Edit Artboards/Convert a box to artboards Illustrator 18
Why cant Illustrator 18 snap to a box when converting to artboards? Also if you create a box copy it into your library.... then bring it back into illustrator and try to create artboards from it, you get a weird error stating its got a clipping mask or a rotation?

Extrude and bevel
Trying to use 3d/extrude and bevel on a mbp 15 and the computer freezes until I cancel. Is it possible the window is showing beyond my screen? (had it connected to a monitor earlier, but restarted 3 times!)

Illustrator crashing after latest update
After updating Ai in the desktop app the program crashed on me several times during an afternoon. I worked with the pattern maker tool in one file and manualy in another file. After restarting both Ai and my iMac there is no way to open the files. I get a sign that says "Unable to open drawing". That happens only to the files created after updating. I tried saving as pdf and open the pdf, not working. I tried to open the files on another computer, the same happens. I then placed the pdf in Indesign, saved as a new…

Illustrator 22.1 doesn't store version information in the metadata
In previous versions of Illustrator I could view which version of Illustrator a file was saved as, and the version that created it, in 'Get info' in the Mac finder. For example: 'Version: Saved As v.15 Created by v.22.0.1'. This info now isn't saved with the file as shown on the attached screenshots. For us this was a very useful for checking what version a file had been saved for.

Opening Files Problem
Not sure what this message means. It started last week.
I would try to open a file, this warning box would pop up, I would press ok and half of my job is missing. Then i would restart illustrator and try it again. Sometimes it takes me 5 times restarting illustrator to get the files to open correctly.1 vote -
Brush settings revert to older ones
Literally the most illogical system. If you change one part of a brush your customizing it reverts to the older one. Worked with this for a couple years and forgot how disappointing it was. MAKE THE PAINTBRUSH TOOL MORE USER FRIENDLY.

loop glitch
when i draw a loop (or any curved line) with my wacom pen or mouse there is a 50% chance a weird ( I really dont know how to describe it, photos attached) extra color area and if I outline the stroke it stays that way. I just want a regular old stroke to stay the width I chose for it. its very time consuming to go through every loop and tweak it just slightly so the extra stuff goes away.
i'm using illustrator cc 22.1 on an imac 10.13.3 but had the problem before on my old macbook pro…

Illustrator quits unexpectedly when my script run for long
When I open Illustrator in my MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 and run my script, after 10-20 min Illustrator quits unexpectedly and this log shows up.

When Exporting .ai to .png getting white lines in all designs.
Have tried every method including saving as tiff,jpg and pdf. lines remain.This is not one design but several.Ruined 2 months of work.Have been doing these for long time and using CS6 for over two years and now suddenly this.Ideas? of a workaround?
