Mouse response too slow to use Illustrator. Clicking on the file menu causes a 5 second delay to open it.
Mouse response too slow to use Illustrator. Clicking on the file menu causes a 5-second delay to open it. By the time 3 seconds have passed, the user clicks again. By the time Illustrator catches up, the menu is opened, then closed from the two clicks. UNUSABLE! The product should be shut down and users should be getting a refund or face a class action lawsuit. Worst business decision EVER to move this app to the cloud and take away the desktop version in the process!

No keyboard shortcut for Hide Application
Virtually ALL OTHER Adobe applications support the Mac function to Hide and application with the keyboard shortcut Cmd-H ... except Illustrator... why this inconsistency? Fix it!!!!

Panels repositioning themselves
Mac OS 10.12.6, Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.2
The colour panel repositions itself from my secondary monitor to my main screen whenever I click on whichever icon (fill or stroke) is in the background to activate it - meaning if I want the fill icon at the front, I click it, then the panel jumps.
This happens every time when swapping from fill to stroke or vice versa.
Please fix this so the panel stays where I've put it!

Screen Mode/Application positioning bug
On Windows 10. Toggling the screen mode does produces UI rendering bugs. But also I am entirely unable to get back to a windowed view, or move the window by any means (either dragging or the menu option behind the logo)

One column toolbar is not remembered and becomes two columns each launch
Toolbar does not remember the one column setting if "Show the home screen when no documents are open" is uncheck.
Step to reproduce:
- Reset all settings
- Run Illustrator
- For example set "Essentials" workspace (now you have one column toolbar)
- Open preferences
- Uncheck "Show the home screen when no documents are open"
- Check "Use Legacy File New Interface"
- Restart Illustrator
- Now toolbar have two columns (and thats the problem)
You must reset the workspace every time you open Illustrator to keep one column toolbar
This error has already been confirmed by the your employee "Dipak Kumar"

Lock doesn't work for groups in groups
How to reproduce the bug:
1. Create two shapes.
2. Group the two shapes
3. Create two new shapes.
4. Group the two new shapes
5. Select the two groups.
6. Group the two groups.
7. Now you have a parent group with two child groups.
8. Lock one of the child groups.
9. Select the parent group.
10. Now both child groups are selected and can be changed even the one that is locked should not be possible to alter.3 votes -
Your popup suggestion about gradients removes pen/touch input on Wacom Mobility Pro
When using a gradient mesh, a popup suggestion to check out new gradient tool features removes all but keyboard input. Until I can dismiss the popup, I can only use the keyboard, even outside the Illustrator application. Since the popup doesn't dismiss with keyboard input(at least that I've figured out), my only recourse is to save the file, close out of AI and shut down/restart the computer. Working on a Wacom MobileStudio Pro, Win 10, all drivers up to date, Illustrator is up to date.

Tool Options Palettes Absent On Launch
The tool options palettes (those you select from the Window menu) are occasionally absent on launch. Not every time. Not even most times. It seems to occur in waves; sometimes more frequent, sometimes less frequent. Lately, it's been a near daily occurrence.
Choosing the palettes in the Window menu when this happens does nothing.
I have the palettes grouped in a single column, but it seems to make no difference whether they're grouped or spread out. Likewise it makes no difference if they're on my primary or secondary monitor.
Currently installed version: 23.0.3

User Interface zoomed in
The interface in my Adobe Illustrator 2019 is 'zoomed-in' and it's not the same size as other Adobe apps. I've attached a screen shot of Illustrator 2018 vs Illustrator 2019.
1 voteIllustrator has a feature to scale user interface on high resolution devices. You may choose to turn it off under preferences>User Interface>UI Scaling.

Variables panel not redrawing
The variables panel does not seem to get redrawn as often as it should.
I am using the latest (early 2019) version of AI.
Create a new document.
Go to/open Variables panel
Panel corner menu->Create Variable.
Dialog opens: Enter name and choose type.
Close dialog.
New variable does not appear in list. (Yet)
Close and reopen Variables panel (or switch panel tab away and back)
Variable previously created is now visible.
Similarly, binding variables to objects is not updated in the panel without the close/reopen or tab switch trick forcing the panel to redraw.

Mysterious Panel on Startup
Running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G5019), and Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.2
On startup I expect to have the last used workspace but I get this seemingly empty UI panel.1 votePlease accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Cannot close main application window with keyboard shortcut
When there are no documents open, it's apparently not possible to close the application window from the keyboard (e.g. with the traditional shortcut Cmd+W). The Close option is disabled in the File menu.
2 votesHi Kit,
Cmd+W is used to close the documents, if you want to close the application, please use Cmd+Q
Thanks

File menu and dialogue boxes black/invisible
Since the most recent update, Illustrator will periodically loose the ability to display dialogue boxes and drop down menus. Drop down menus show black until I mouse over, and then the items show as I mouse over then. But the dialogue boxes remain invisible. I can "navigate" blindly sometimes and get my document to save without seeing what I'm clicking on (muscle memory, I suppose), but sometimes the whole program just crashes. This has been happening consistently over the past few weeks. 2-3 times a day.
I'm using a Lenovo Ideapad 330 withWindows 10, using the most current release of…

"Left-click the tool to view a list of all the tools in the tool group." Does not work.
"Left-click the tool to view a list of all the tools in the tool group."
Very simple, right? We've all been able to do it forever.
Well, I don't want to be overly unpleasant about this, but, having finally upgraded from Adobe CS5 to Adobe CC, I find that this most basic of actions is unperformable on my computer. It worked in CS5.
It's the newest version of Mojave, 10.14.3, and the newest version of Illustrator, on account of me having just installed it.
