  1. workspace options not available

    I can't figure this out. Clearly someone else has had this issue, but there is no published solution. From your archive:

    "Workspaces not working, all panels hidden on start up.
    Just update to CC23.0.1 and when I start up Illustrator all the panels are turned off and my workspace won't change or reset.

    I can turn on the panels manually, but it resets when I close Illustrator. The reset, new workspace and manage workspaces options are greyed out. If I try to change the workspace nothing happens.

  2. Extra large font in drop down lists - can't fix

    I can't modify the size of the font in Illustrator's drop-down lists. When I click on a top menu item (File/Edit/Object/Type, etc) the font displayed in the drop-down list is extra large, and I can't change it in Settings. Even when I select "Reset Essentials Classic", nothing happens. How can I fix this? Thanks!

  4. Japanese version: Sidebar properties get clipped

    The values get clipped out and it's difficult to insert values....

    I think this is possibly because of poor localisation for Japanese UI as the Japanese text is larger and thus causes the clipping....

    This has happened on many occasions but as a sample I included an image of the settings of corner roundness of an object.

    I'm not sure if this happens on any other language UI's as I've only been using the Japanese version.

    my mouse pointer appears huge in the InDesign interface
    when i use my illustrator the mouse size look fine
    i use a primary and secondary screens
    Primary -3840\2160
    Secondary- 2560\1440

  6. STOP THE 'A New Version Of Illustrator Is Now Available' Pop Up annoying everyone...

    How about you get rid of this annoying "A New Version Or Illustrator Is Now Available" pop up???

  7. LogTransport2 locks app after failed requests to hbrcv.adobe.com

    I have a corporate web filter that always tries to authenticate port 80 or 443 traffic. Illustrator is reaching out to hbrcv.adobe.com and because there is no traditional web interface to handle this request, if the library can't communicate without issue the entire user interface locks and becomes unusable. Any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks!

  8. Panels are Grouped, e.g., Properties can't be detached from Layers

    I want to set up a new workspace to have separate windows. Illustrator is forcing them to be attached, and it takes up a lot of screen space, blocking my view of my artwork.

    it is unclear from the post what the issue is. You can drag out property panel using click drag on the header.

  9. Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier

    Fréquemment, à l'ouverture d'un fichier j'ai le message "Impossible d'ouvrir le fichier".
    Il faut alors quitter puis relancer Illustrator. L'ouverture du fichier devient alors possible.

  10. Workspace toolbars disappearing

    Ai CC 2019 - all of a sudden all the toolbars have disappeared and won't stay reinstated. Workspace will not reset nor change modes.

  11. Panels don't open with Application Frame turned off

    On MacOS, when Application Frame is turned off, and Window panels (ex: Layers, Artboards, Swatches, etc.) are condensed, the Window panels will not appear when clicked on. They only work if Application Frame is on.

  12. Toggling tabs does not refresh/display correct file.

    When multiple files are open, toggling from one file to another (via tabs) does not always display the correct file.

    I've only encountered this bug with CC 2019.

    Each release = less usable + more bugs

  15. Calligraphic Brush Rotation Preview Bug

    I have the Wacom Art Pen with the latest drivers installed with the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. When I change the rotation variation for an angle in Photoshop I get a preview of where the angle of my brush is headed, In Illustrator I get the same preview of the brush tip even when rotating it. I know it is working because I can see the paint rotating but the preview of the brush is not. This makes it extremely difficult to know in what angle my brush is going.

  16. Tool Windows Collapsed on Start

    Tool windows collapsed on start — make tool windows not collapsed on start. This has happened to me before, I don't remember what fixed it. This doesn't happen if the start screen for MacBook children is used.

  18. All toolbars gone - Illustrator CC 2019

    As soon as I open the Illustrator today, every toolbar was lost. Even if I click the workspace presets, it doesn't do anything. I already returned all the lost tool bars manually but when I opened Ai, they're gone again. Please fix this. Thank you.

  19. Continuous drag over locks or visibility in layer palette regularly fails when using Wacom

    • I have experienced this problem on both macOS and Windows when using a Wacom tablet.
    • Toggle visibility of multiple layers by click-dragging over the eye icons.
    • Toggle the visibility of another layer by clicking on the eye icon.
    • Occasionally the last click will be interpreted as being part of the drag gesture and the visibilty of multiple layers will be affected.
    • Undo doesn't see step 1 and 2 as separate. So undoing gets you back to before step 1.

    You may have to test this for a while as it doesn't happen very often. A few times a day if…

  20. Info palette moves to monitor Measure Tool is used

    The Info palette instantly jumps to the monitor that you use the Measure Tool on. If it's connected to all the other palettes on a secondary monitor, all of them instantly jump to the monitor where you are using the Measure Tool.

    Like most people, I have my palettes on a secondary monitor and my main monitor has my document. So every single time I use the Measure Tool, my palettes jump over to the main monitor.

    Please fix this so the Info palette stays where I put it when using the Measure Tool.
