Align to Artboard
Please fix "Align To..." bug or new feature. I never use "Align to Selection" and many times it automatically switches to "Align to Selection" on its own. I always use "Align to Artboard" and I like that it automatically changes to "Align to Key Object" when I select a key object and goes back to my preferred Align to preference "Align to Artboard" when I do not select a key object. Because it is not stay on my preferred "Align to Artboard" and, on its own changes to "Align to Selection" it causes a problem, for example since my preferred…

Constrain not working (dragging + shift key) - object jumps about like crazy.
When holding the shift key down to constrain an item when dragging (Keeping it aligned) the object jumps about as if trying to align to something else. This happens whether smart guides or snap are on or off (All combos thereof).
It's making laying out work very difficult. Just updated to 26.0.3 hoping the bug was fixed but it's still there. Only noticed this happening very recently, in the last day or 2 (24.01.22).

Align / distribute spacing applies x10 multiplier in large-canvas document
Distribute objects doesn't work properly in a large-canvas document. In the example. I applied a spacing of 2 inches, but a x10 multiplier is automatically applied, so the spacing is actually 20 inches.

Guides are invisible
The update made my guides disappear unless I click on the objet or art-board. It would be ok, but when I use the arrows to move the guides they disappear and I can't see how far I have moved them. May I change this update back to how it was.

Align to artboard when starting up
When you first start illustrator up in the newest version 25.4.1 the align to artboard tool will switch to align to selection if multiple objects are selected. If you select align to selection and then align to artbaord the issue will not happen and only happens when the program is first launched. Once you have gone to selection and then back to artbaord the issue will not happen again.

(Align to) broken more than not
Illustrator version 25.4.1
Mac 10.15.7(Align to) works SOMETIMES, and other times not so much. Doesn't matter if it's set to align to artboard, objects, or selected. Currently can only get it to work properly by shutting down & restarting every time I need to center something after successfully working ONCE. Here's what happens;
- Layer 1, align to center, worked.
- Layer 2, align to center, art moved 4 inches to right.
- Layer 2, align to center, art moved 4 more inches to right.
- Layer 2, align to left, art does nothing.
- Layer 2, align to center, art moves another 4…

Non-proper alignments
This has been an ongoing issue since CS first began. Never had a problem with the old 10 or lower. If you grab a node from an object and move it say, to latch on to nearest node or object, it almost always picks some random and sometimes distant node or object, including itself (shown here). Should it not latch to nearest node? In order to properly latch, you have to pull out a guideline and place it where you want it to go, in order for it to recognize where to latch.

Aligning a group of objects to an artboard
A bug in Align to Artboard. If I align a group of objects to Horizontal Align Center (to artboard), it's okay. But if the next click is Vertical Align Center (to artboard), all the objects of the group are aligned, not the group, but the seperate objects.
A workaround is to click somewhere else, and then click the Vertical Align Center. But it looks like a bug to me.

Align To mode gets changed from Align To Artboard to other modes on its own
Over the past several Major updates to Illustrator, the Align to function's Default setting keeps getting changed. I prefer to have control over that. As all past versions of Illustrator have allowed. For me: Align to Artboard.
With the last version capable of running on HIGH SIERRA it was BROKEN AGAIN !!!!
Adobe's response is to buy a new computer.
My feeling is Adobe should FIX that last High Sierra version.
In the middle of a Pandemic/Economic uncertainty, this is not the time to screw customers.

Issue with align to key object tool moving objects off the workspace not by the selected distance
When I try to align with a key object, the objects move off of the workspace and not by the distance selected. I have created a video of the issue here: https://www.screencast.com/t/hz5lD32lOW

Align Text box with Object
Using Windows 7 or High Sierra and Illustrator 24.2
Align text with any object is not aligned properly. Presently it takes text box and actual height/width of text and aligns object width/height.
I understand this is way Illustrator text work, but can changed/update so can properly aligns. Hoping to get it resolved in near coming versions.
The alignment should work like Indesign or any vector program. Check attachment.
3 votesYou can now choose to align to preview bound of a type object, using Align to Glyph Bounds option in Align panel’s menu.
Please comment back if you have any problems with that.

The latest update is now causing 'align to top' to behave like 'align to bottom', and 'align to left' to behave like 'align to right'
The alignment tools never had this problem until the latest update. Wish I hadn't updated since it's now slowing my workflow. Please consider fixing this issue on the next update.

Key anchor align mode gets activated when not actually needed
Imagine I have an art I I want to move side points to be on the artboard's edge. There's a background underneath my piece and it's not locked (and I'm not in Outline mode) — so I can't marquee my 2 side points. What I do in this GIF is I click one point and then Shift+click another one. AI switches the mode to 'Key anchor', thinking that... I don't know what it's thinking :) and obviously pressing proper Align button does nothing.
I know what Key Anchor does :) But it's not what I want now. And it would…

Align to Key Object not selectable unless Tool panel is open
BUG REPORT: "Align to Key Objects" is (sporadically) not selectable as an align method, unless objects are selected while the Tool Panel is open.
If this panel is closed during object selection, then the "Align to Key Objects" option is greyed out in both the Toolbar and in the Tool Panel (even after it is expanded/opened). This does not happen on every occasion.
(Running Illustrator CC 2019 on Mac OS 10.14.2)

Distribute Spacing field is disabled if you set a key object BEFORE opening Align panel
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), Illustrator 24.0.1 (64-bit)
If I wish to align / distribute two or more objects in Illustrator, if I select the objects and click on the 'master object' BEFORE I go to the 'Align' tool window, the distance box remains greyed out as you can see in one of the screenshots below. I find this very annoying, for example, I may have previously been on the 'Transform' tool window sizing my objects, then I copy them a few times and select them all, select a master object then go to the 'Align' window and the distance box…

Align to compound shape / key object bug (CC 23.0.1 / Win 7)
While trying to distribute spacing using the Align palette, I've noticed a strange align bug which only appears to affect compound shapes when trying to align to a key object.
Steps to recreate:
1. Select two objects, one of which is a compound shape
2. Make the compound shape the key object (click on it while selected)
3. Set a distribute spacing distance in the Align palette, and click on the horizontal/vertical distribute spacing button.Result:
The key object moves by the preset amount set and the second object get spaced from the key object by the same amount.Expected…
