1. Hide File Extension on Export

   It's very annoying that when exporting to .jpg, etc. the hide file extension box is automatically checked. This is awful. Why?!?

2. artboard

   I am having issues with the alignment of the image on the artboard. It seems the rectangle I used to cover the artboard isn't lining up. I am not sure if this is a problem or I simply don't know how to fix it

   The artwork has a small black dot on the right side, far away from the artboard. Watch closely at the right side of your 11×17.jpg image to notice it.
   And export options were probably without ‘Use artboards’ tick.

   P.S. Please always provide the file you have problems with!

3. Illustrator cc2019(v23.0) テキストをアウトライン化すると元の位置からズレる

   テキストを効果→パスの変形→変形で回転したものを、アウトライン化すると元の位置からズレます。フォントのサイズが大きいほどズレが大きいようです。
   印刷会社へ入稿する際や、納品する場合も必ずアウトライン化したファイルを作成するので、このズレは致命的です。
   早急に改善していただきたいです。

6. 10.14.3 Mojave - can't "drag" move anything in Illustrator! Gotta cut & paste or use arrow for sloooowwwww moving.... What's up????

   Since upgrading to 10.14.3 Mojave, I can't "click & drag" anything! I either have to cut & paste an item elsewhere....or veeerrrryyyy slloowwlly move with the arrow key. NOT GOOD.

7. lastest update crashes CONSTANTLY

   Just updated to version 23.0 via CC panel and Illustrator won't run more than 2 minutes at a time without crashing. I can't keep it open long enough to determine if there's a specific trend or problem. Selecting any tool from any palette, or trying to move an object on the art board, or while typing... just locks up no matter what I do. VERY FRUSTRATING.

   For what it's worth, I'm on Windows 10 with 32 gb of RAM running 64 bit version of Illustrator. Never crashed before the update.

8. cursor lag cc2019

   Heavy cursor lag on arrow tools in cc2019. Tracking speed matches fine system wide, but is slowed / delayed in Ai.

9. Toggle selection/brush tool bug in new Illustrator update

   Selecting multiple objects no longer works with the latest update. Also cannot toggle between brush and select tool using command key. This is a bad problem. Please help.

10. workspace options not available

    I can't figure this out. Clearly someone else has had this issue, but there is no published solution. From your archive:

    "Workspaces not working, all panels hidden on start up.
    Just update to CC23.0.1 and when I start up Illustrator all the panels are turned off and my workspace won't change or reset.

    I can turn on the panels manually, but it resets when I close Illustrator. The reset, new workspace and manage workspaces options are greyed out. If I try to change the workspace nothing happens.

    Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit
    Intel i7-7700
    16GB Ram
    GeForce GTX 750 Ti

11. Pathfinder Merge actually Dividing, leaving cut out objects behind

    This has been a thorn in my side for so long I can no longer ignore it. I don't know when it happened but at some point Illustrator's Merge tool started dividing objects instead of merging them, and leaves behind cut up versions of objects that are behind the visible objects.

    using Illustrator CC 2019 version 23.0.2

    I'm pretty sure this still happens on my windows 10 computer at home as well.

    Interestingly, if I have only a few objects involved, it merges just fine, but when I'm working on logos that are even minutely complex it pitches a fit. I've expanded appearance, expanded text, expanded strokes, ungrouped objects, and put them all on the same layer and it still doesn't work. Thing is, the objects I'm merging aren't even terribly complex, and as a test I made 15 rectangles of various colors (some the same and some different) and had them overlapping in various ways.

    I moved part of the blue area at the top to show the navy object underneath has not been deleted.

    So with the objects now properly ruined, here's what the layers look like.

    In the old days Merge would merge all like colors that are visible and delete anything behind them. Now it divides and leave colors behind so there's a ton of extra, useless, objects left behind that get in the way when I'm forced to unite the mess together manually afterwards.

    But even with simple blocks of color, not that many points, no groups, and a mere 15 objects merge won't work.

    If anyone has any solutions to this you'd earn my undying gratitude.

    The objects had the Overprint attribute checked in Attributes panel. With this option on Illustrator leaves fragments unmerged to match the assumed intention behind having Overprint one. This is a normal expected behaviour, but not a transparent one.

    If you have this problem, don’t hesitate to leave the comment to force the team to rethink the UX behind this.

13. Numeric Entry into Control bar measurements sometimes trigger move dialogue instead of behaving correctly

    macOS Mojave 10.14.4

    Illustrator 23.0.4 and also previous versions

    On the control bar I type a numeric entry in the object's width field, expecting to enter the width in the field on hitting enter.

    Instead the Move dialogue opens on hitting enter. (this result also intermittently happens with other numeric fields in the control bar).

15. Illustrator 23 PDF-export: everything in caps after update 23.0.1

    Dear Adobe,

    I updated some time ago to Illustrator 23.0.1 in Windows 10. And I run into a problem that drives me crazy. I work for a company, and our corporate font is the "Rotis" series (truetype). We use that for everything of course. The problem: When I export a file from Illustrator to PDF, the PDF is completely build up in capitals and the spacing is totaly incorrect. Below you can find the example. When I exchange the font to Arial e.g., the problem is not there. Also in all previous versions of Illustrator, the problem has never been there.

    @Adobe; I was in contact with Aman Arora (amaarora) of the Indesign support team because Indesign 14.0 had the same bug. That problem was solved in the 14.0.1 update. Could you please find this bug also in Illustrator, so I can work again with the new Illustrator? Attached you find the sample files!

16. Calligraphic Brush Rotation Preview Bug

    I have the Wacom Art Pen with the latest drivers installed with the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. When I change the rotation variation for an angle in Photoshop I get a preview of where the angle of my brush is headed, In Illustrator I get the same preview of the brush tip even when rotating it. I know it is working because I can see the paint rotating but the preview of the brush is not. This makes it extremely difficult to know in what angle my brush is going.

18. Buggy lines from tool windows

    When I expand some tool windows to the work area the drop shadow from the window remains when the window is closed. This shadow is persistent when I close Illustrator and it is seen over all programs and desktop. It even persists when I restart explorer.

    The only pattern I seem to find is that it only appears with the toolwindows popping up from the "More options" buttons.

    Is it possible this is problem with Illustrator itself of should I search elsewhere for a solution? I have never had this problem before with any other software after year and years of running this set-up. It has only, and still only, appeared when using illustrator.

19. Transform effect and Move dialog refuse to use negative numbers

    This has been a problem for a long time -- not just the current version of Illustrator. When applying a transform effect to an object and using the "move" part of the effect, negative numbers get converted to positive numbers. Occasionally I can "fool" the effect by not previewing the results but that doesn't work often. This happens whether I type in the numbers by hand or use the slider.
