Illustrator WILL NOT display art OR artboards.
How about making Illustrator useable for starters?
I pay enough for this service. I have done a full update and restart of my computer, all of my adobe products are up to date, AND I've uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator.
This is what I get when I open a new document. Show artboards is on. NOTHING comes up despite using ALL of the fixes I can find in your boards.I expect a service I drop $700 a year on to actually WORK Adobe.

blendtool
Hi Adobe,
I downloaded the new illustrator, 2019 version. Happy to see that the eyedropper tool can adopt colors from images again.
However the BlendTool seems to be different. In earlier versions it was possible to ajust the line on which you blended certain shapes... It appeared between the shapes as a loose vector line. This line is gone now, the only thing I can ajust are the shapes which I blended.. Can you guys fix this again in an update?Thanks! Bjorn.

No de-selection of gradient Point / Appearance panel behaviour in AI23
If I edited a gradient point once, the selected point stays selected forever. I is possible for me to select another gradient point, but not de-select the point.
Why would this be necessary?
Because, when I edit some stacked layers of gradients in the appearance panel (what I do very often), the editing of the gradient hides the complete appearance, showing only the highlighted color swatch of the gradient point in the appearance panel.
The only way to get the whole appearance visible again in the panel, is to swith to another tool (i.e. selection tool). This is very time…1 voteHi Marek & Dllyana,

You can deselect the selected color stop via Escape key when you are in gradient tool. I hope this works for you as a workaround to deselect the selected color stop. -
Action to merge swatches
Make it so we can create an action to merge swatches again like CS5!!!

Can't file save as (illustrator files, pdf, eps etc), also can't open ai files
I can't save my files as any file types, I can export to png and jpeg, but when I try to save a file it just shows the spinning ball forever and does not save! It is not my laptop, as everything thing else is working as normal (including other Adobe programs which save files quickly)
If I also try and open an existing file it does the same thing!
I have tried re installing Illustrator which hasn't helped.My laptop is a Macbook pro mid 2012 (Mojave 10.14.1) with a new ssd installed. Adobe Illustrator is the lateset version…

Cannot select objects with selection tool
If I have a layer set to preview mode and it is above another layer that is not in preview mode, I cannot select objects in the preview mode layer when the objects are above an object in the lower layer. I have tried zooming in as close as I can and the selection tool will still not select an item in the preview mode layer. I can get around this by hiding the non-preview mode layer or selecting the object in the layers panel.

You took away the highlighted outlines from when I select and create objects
I cannot see the outlines highlighted on anything I select, this has ruined my ability to use this program.
I tried going into preferences and selecting the option for showing anchors when I select and it did not work either.I want the old version back, this is useless, PLEASE STOP CONSTANTLY UPDATING THIS PROGRAM
1 voteSorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Looks like you have ‘Show Edges’ option disabled. Goto View→ Show Edges and it will enable the outlines.

GPU bug?
Can't select and release objects in illustrator, seems like the mouse button is pressed throughout. issue ends once clicked on Finder and out of illustrator. Issue started a few weeks after upgrading to Mojave and the CUDA NVIDIA driver couldn't be updated anymore.
Using Illustrator 2015.3 (as this used to support my GPU animated preview)
Tried reinstalling a few times and problems still persist.
Working on XD now, can't use most older vector files made in illustrator, a simple act like copying a vector out to XD is IMPOSSIBLE.

Illustrator CC 2019 v23.0 Divide tool not working
I'm running on a iMac Pro (2017) Mojave OS 10.14 and using Illustrator CC 2019 v23.0. I've tried using the divide tool via the Pathfinder panel as well as the new Properties Panel and neither will work. Typically it would divide the two patterns top and bottom and now it just leaves the patterns as is without dividing. I also have used the guides to divide a pattern and that is not working either.

Path guides center edges disappear when dragging a guide from the ruler
Path guides center edges disappear when dragging a guide from the ruler in CC, in previous versions you could quickly line up a guide to the center of a box now you have to zoom out to see the center. Another feature that worked great in previous versions now lost.
1 voteGuides no longer disappear when dragged on canvas or from rulers. However they still do if you move guides together with non-guides objects. Happens in GPU Preview mode only.

While on holding pen tool no add anchor points there
I searched whole pannel but did not get. You will better understand me when you find in the attachments below.

Unembed for Black and White Bitmap
Adobe Illustrator 22.1
macOS High Sierra 10.13.3The Unembed button is grayed out for Black & White Bitmap images. The workaround is to Rasterize as Grayscale but this is leading to unexpected results. Parts of my images are disappearing, please fix the bug and add this feature.

Changed placed item outside of illustrator does not mark the AI Document as changed...
If I have an illustrator document open that has a linked placed item within it, and the document has just been save, and I modify and save the placed item outside of illustrator - AI prompts me that the item has changed and asks if I was to update the placed artwork. If I select YES, the artwork is updated but the AI document is not internally marked as changed - e.g. I can close the file and it will not prompt me to save.

Illustrator version 22.1 keeps crashing my computer.
Illustrator 22.1 (64 bit)
Windows 7Illustrator keeps glitching when used. Program will experience extreme lagging as well as leave ghost tracers as objects are dragged across the screen. Has crashed this pc twice.
Virtually unusable as it is currently running.
Problem does not happen with either Photoshop or InDesign on this pc.

1 voteMost probably you have a Snap enabled: to grid (in View menu) or to Pixel (in the top right corner of the Control panel ort in Properties panel).
Please check this.

Extended top and bottom of glyphs of variable fonts are not rendered
Vertically long glyphs with variable font are not rendered at the top and bottom. Please see attached file.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Guides disappear until file is reopened
I've created an isometric grid for illustration and converted the grid lines to guides. When I leave my document open for a while (maybe an hour or more) and come back to it after a lull in activity, my guides seem to be gone. The "Guides" item in the "View" menu is grayed out, and the keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+; to toggle guides on and off does not work. Nothing is hidden or locked in my document. Closing and reopening the document immediately fixes the issue, with guides toggling on off when prompted. There's clearly a bug here, figured I should…
