  1. Multiple Bugs

    Alrighty, there are a few different things going wrong here. The version of Illustrator I'm using is CS3 on Windows. One of my issues is that when I'm using the selection tool, it won't select an object if I simply click; if I want to move an object or simply select it to re-scale it, I have to click and drag my mouse over it. This makes my life difficult, as it's a serious pain to select objects, and it's extremely annoying.

  2. path view

    Version: Illustrator CC 2018 22.0 (Standard)
    Illustrator does not show a path view. When I select Path View, the object is no longer selectable and no path view is displayed.
    It's the same with every file, both simple and brand new.
    It didn't work in the previous version either.
    In older versions it worked without any problems.

  3. Custom color library have varied and inconsistent behaviors

    When creating a custom color library, for example, using PANTONE colors with custom CMYK values, Illustrator imports them in to the Swatches panel inconsistently. Double clicking adds colors one way, clicking on "add to swatches" adds color another way. And, some PANTONE colors are added differently than how they were imported in to the custom color library. For example: I created a custom CMYK build for PANTONE 115 C. I imported to my custom color library then double click to add to swatches. It adds the color but somehow converts the color to what looks like a Lab to CMYK…

  5. Anchor Point Tool can create shape so huge, not enough memory to Undo

    I was using the Anchor Point Tool to add handles to an anchor point (using mouse pointer to click and drag handles into existence), and suddenly, the shape stroke line shot off the artboard into virtual oblivion (apparently a gigantic loop causing a massively huge shape). When I tried to Undo (Ctrl-Z) a message box popped up saying "The operation cannot complete because there isn't enough memory (RAM) available."

    I f'ing lost several hours of work because I had to close Illustrator and not save ('cuz I was afraid it would reload into the same condition, thus destroying many [MANY]…

  6. Illustrator CC 18 freezing on macOS High Sierra

    Ever since upgrading to 2018 Illustrator, it frequently freezes my entire screen after performing simple actions such as moving or rotating objects. Have had to hard-reboot my MacBook Pro 2016 (Touch Bar version) several times which is obviously not good for the system. This is not an issue with any of the other Adobe CC apps I have installed, Photoshop/InDesign/Premiere Pro etc. all work perfectly fine. Please resolve this ASAP - I rely on Illustrator for my work.

  7. Illustrator crashes when using the appearance panel or styles and effects.

    Illustrator CC 2018 crashes with the blue screen of death especially when I am working on the appearance panel or effects drop down menu. Illustrator simply freezes, promoting that is not responding and in 5-10 seconds the system crashes. Please help! Need to meet deadlines.

  9. When maximizing Illustrator it extends beyond the screen borders.

    I have a vertical dual monitor setup. At one time it was a horizontal setup, but that was in prior versions before version 22.0.1 64 Bit. Anytime I try to maximize on my 3840x2160 laptop monitor it will expand beyond the screen border. I have attached a screenshot. Only started happening since the last update. I have tried changing settings for my screens and within illustrator but it still doesn't seem to fix the issue. Can anyone help?

  10. White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D

    White lines appearing on the text when we apply Extrude and Bevel effects in 3D. Is there any solution to fix this.

    Version: Adobe Illustrator 22.0.1

    Expected result: 3D effect of the text layer without white lines.

  11. Pixel Preview stuck the Program

    I have Illustrator cc 2018.
    When I press Pixel Preview -
    1. It does not show a pixel preview - it keeps show the vector preview.
    2. It jams the software. You can't do any action, unless close the software. And than if you press pixel preview again - it will happen again.

  12. type/color changes having difficulty taking

    v.22.0.1 64-bit on win 10
    never had these issues before today, but basically some changes are selectively not taking, are reverting back to previous. 2 examples:

    1. changed type font from Clyburn to Hummingbird (from Tk), change takes, saved work, then went to move type and reverts to Clyburn. so copied layer with Hummingbird, locked it, hid it, then made change, still switched back. closed/rebooted Illustrator, was back in Clyburn. however, made change and it finally took, however could not change between Hummingbird Regular and Bold.

    2. working with ellipses in a logo in CMYK. placed ellipse with gradient stroke. copied layer,…

  13. When I try to save a file, I am told my file is a "read only" copy

    I use Illustrator version 20.0.0 (2015.3)

    I have not experienced this problem until very recently.

    After I have saved a file, when I make changes to it that I want to save, I am told I cannot, as it is a read-only copy.

    I have already checked the properties of my file, and it is NOT "read-only."

  14. DrawArt Suite issue on OS 10.13 and CC 2018

    I'm using the AIDrawArtSuite to render objects in my plug-in.

    This function works fine on windows and os x for CC, CC 2014, CC 2015, CC 2017 and CC 2018 except for macOS 10.13

    On my macbook pro 2014 with a nvidia card and OS 10.13.2, the result is not correct.
    If I'm disabling the GPU performance, the result is now correct.

  15. Vectors and Paintstrokes Destroyed by Opening in AI CC

    Files on Adobe Illustrator CS5 when opened in AI CC are totally distorted and altered. The live paint feature was eliminated from AI CC and so I assume this is why my lines are interpreted as choppy and broken even though they are coded as vectors is CS5. My paint strokes also have distortions and artifacts in them, making the piece unrecognizable from its former iteration and requiring hours of work in hopes of fixing it. The inability for simply being able to maintain old works from earlier versions of illustrator is a mind blowing oversight. AI CC is not…

  19. Select > Same > (Fill, Stroke, etc.) no longer working in charts

    Adobe CC2018
    When using the direct selection tool to select a single element of a chart or graph, Illustrator no longer responds to the Select > Same > ... commands. This is a feature we rely upon for everyday capabilities when styling charts. When I try the command, it does not select anything within the chart. If I ungroup the chart, or use the Select > Same > (options) with other Illustrator shapes, it works as normal. The problem surfaced immediately after I upgraded from CC2017 to CC2018.

    Hi,

    Please see if Snap to Grid is on in your document? If yes then try turning that off and try again.
    Otherwise follow below steps :
    > Click on finder , when you will click on finder on mac at the top you will see an option as “Go”
    > choose Go > Go To Folder
    > In go to folder , type ~/library
    > choose application support/Adobe/rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator21Settings.old
    > go back to library folder where you got application support folder and scroll down
    > Open the Preferences Folder rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator22Settings.old

    Launch Illustrator and check if it works and share the outcome with us .
