1. illustrator CC 2019 selection by path only broken with symbols

   1. In Prefs>Selection and Anchor Display check Object Selection by Path Only.
   2. Drag a symbol from the symbol pane onto the artboard. 2a. It needs to be one with a filled area.
   3. Choose the pen tool.
   4. Draw an unfilled, stroked path with an anchor point that is on top of a filled area of the symbol.
   5. Choose the Direct Selection Tool.
   6. Drag over the anchor point, making sure not to drag over any paths, just a filled area. Alternately, drag over a filled part of a symbol even without a path on top.
   7. Notice that the symbol becomes selected. It should not select the symbol. This is not how it worked in 2018 or previous versions. Also works correctly in CS6.

2. Resizing a new document window is broken

   When creating a new document the widow goes full screen, when I try to resize using the bottom right corner to resize window, it automatically grows larger than the screen size and can't grab the corner... then when I do get the corner back on the screen trying to resize just doesn't work well, it’s very slow and largish and half the time it won't resize it jumps back to full or only partially resizes... never did this before and it’s a pain. I spend 10 min trying to get the window like I want it to be nearly every time I open a new file. (running on iMac 10.14.1 with Retina 5K, 27-inch)

   Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please try changing the UI scaling option under preferences—>UI interface—>UI Scaling —> small. Please revert back if this doesn’t work.

3. Type on Circle Path Centers at 45º

   When I type on a circular path, something I've done a million times, it now centers at 45º instead of 90... despite anchor points at the cardinal NESW.

4. Have to zoom a lot to reveal middle handles with small objects

   MacOS Mojave 10.14.2 (18C54) and Illustrator CC2019 23.0.1
   MBP 2018, i9, 32 Gb, Radeon Pro Vega 20, 4080 Mt

   It seems like Illustrator CC2019 has an issue with handles vanishing (at least on my system)
   If you have a long and narrow (either horizontally or vertically), or otherwise small object, you have to zoom very very close to reveal the middle handle. Makes changing lengths of said objects pretty hard when matching with other objects with, for example, snapping etc.

5. illustrator brushtool NOT displaying brush stoke in realtime

   I'm using quadro 2000 + 24GB Ram + dual xeon x5650.
   But when i using brush tool, turn on GPU performance.
   illustrator brush tool NOT displaying brush stoke in real times when i drawing. It work when i turn off GPU performance.

   ps: my system work fine AI 2018

6. Illustrator CC 2019 spots not changing to CMYK

   Mojave 10.14 I just updated to Illustrator CC 2019 and when I try and convert a spot colour to process it wouldn't enable when I click OK -

7. Text always shows as black

   Sometimes, when I apply color to a text box (using the swatches or the eyedropper) the color shown on screen is black even though in the Appearance panel the Fill is the one I applied.

   Hi,

   The attached screenshot displays the FILL color underneath the CHARACTERS in the APPEARANCE panel therefore any change applied to the FILL will not be displayed, to display it correctly please move the FILL color row on top of the CHARACTER row (Click & Drag) in the Appearance panel.

   Hope this helps to resolve this issue.

8. Manually entering integer size values makes fractions

   The Width/height (Screenshot B: / H: ) Values don't work sometimes.

   If I manually type in the values like 20x20 it will create something like this 20,134x19,999.

9. PNG export broken

   I receive an error every time I try to export a PNG from any file. Other export formats work without a problem.

   Working on a Macbook Pro with MacOS Mojave running the latest version of Illustrator (updated this morning).

11. Copy Paste in Place / Front / Back puts the art at a wrong place

    So I'm having problems with the Paste in Place command, sometimes it works great when I Copy or Cut something and paste it on other artboards but most of the times it is not working properly, either what I copied o cut get outside the drawing area or it goes to a random place, and at first I thought I wasn't selecting the artboard but even with the artboard selected it falls anywhere. I'm running Illustrator CC 2019, on windows 10.

12. 2018 Illustrator CC is crazy slow / extreme lag on fast touchbar mac

    AI is extraordinarily slow to do anytlhing, even select tools, or draw or duplicate objects. I have a very fast computer:
    2016 MBP 2.9ghz intel core i7
    16gb ram
    radeon pro 460
    running OS 10.13.6
    I have 60gbb free of space on my SSD.

    I haven't worked in AI for several years, but I'm deeply familiar with PS, and I'm following a tutorial on how to draw a geometric shape. So thats what I'm doing in the project. Very simple stuff.

14. Key object selection mismatch

    When I select two objects and choose the key object for allignment, the top allignment option shows the «Align to key object» and object gets highlighted, however if I go to the sidebar to introduce a spacing number it shows «Align to selection» instead and I need to change the option again. This is so frustrating.

15. Type on Path Issue

    After I apply type on a path (circle) the circle isn't a circle anymore.

    Circle without type on a path: Same height, Same width.
    Circle with type on a path: Different height, Different width.

    I never had that issue before, after i apply text on a path (circle) the circle has still the same height & width values, why not now?

    Please update adobe illustrator in January 2019

17. Illustrator Library Place Copy a Vector Broken

    Illustrator 23.0.0.1 (64 bit) - Windows.

    I have created some custom icons. Saved them as SVG.
    Opened up these SVGs and then added to a Library.
    On click place copy on a new art board. The vector is totally corrupt. (see attachment.)
    The icons are correctly designed and all lines expanded.
    If I place link they appear fine. (obviously I then cannot edit)
    If I click edit they appear fine. (Using edit to open then cut and paste at the moment)

18. Scale tool bug with Shift+Alt

    Scale tool selected
    Press Shift+Alt
    Click anywhere on the work area

    This sends illustrator nuts: the scaling cursor doesn't stick to the place you click, nor it goes away. No other tool is selectable, no action can be taken. After minutes (actual minutes) the scaling tool popup window appears, then you can close it and go on with the work.

    I know this tool is not supposed to do anything with Shift+Alt+click but often I keep those keys by mistake. This would be easily solved with an exception catch and an error message as many other tools have for mispressed keys.

    Windows 10 / CC2019 (been seeing this issue in 2018 and 2017 too)

19. Working really slow

    I am working on AMD Threadripper 1950x with 16cores and 32gb DDR4 ram...
    Illustrator still working really slow and laggy.
    When I make a multiple select some objects and deselecting, its stuck on that process. Sometimes, filling all objects with single colors after deselecting. really terrible... Even I close GPU accelerator it doesn't help

20. Bug: Cannot scale a horizontal line via center box handle

    in Ai CC2019 I cannot scale a horizontal line via the center box handle. The only way to it, is to use the direct selection tool (A).
