Can't resize text, objects, or images anymore using the selection tool
When I click on any object, text, or image and try to resize it just by clicking and dragging the anchor points, it doesn't resize anymore like it used to. It just moves the object. This is on a Mac in Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.1

Distort objects using an envelope does not work
Working on iMac with Ai 2019.
The Envelope Distort tool gives this message:
The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error.
Will not even work on a simple rectangle, or by selecting two simple rectangles.2 votes -
New update (23.0.1) shows Home screen instead of my actual file until I press F
Most of the times, when I open an AI file I can't see my actual artboard until I press F (Toggle Screen Mode). Once I switch the screen mode it shows a weird red color in the artboard (too fast to capture).

The rotate tool seems to have disappeared from the toolbox overnight.
The rotate tool seems to have disappeared from the toolbox. It's normally next to the scale tool & paired with the reflect tool but it's not there now. When i click on the 3 dots at the base of the toolbox it says its with the scale tool. When i click on the little triangle to open this tool to see the other tools it's paired with, it's unresponsive.

objects behind clipping mask cannot move outside of drawing area!!??
What is the point in a clipping mask if the objects behind it cannot fall off the drawing area? may as well use Microsoft paint to be honest

CMYK Spectrum on color tab looks broken
On the latest Illustrator update the CMYK Spectrum looks broken on the color tab. At first I thought it was a display problem however comparing other Adobe apps and even in illustrator color picker there is nothing wrong.

Illustrator issues, SVG only?
When using CC (updated to v. 23), illustrations appear distorted when rendered with stylesheet. During troubleshooting, I open a colleague's SVG illustration in CS6 as well as CC v.23 and compare. See attachments. CC distorts both content size and artboard size. We never had this issue with CS.

Illustrator won't open more than one file.
With version 23.0.1, Illustrator will permit to open only one single file. The first file can be opened by any method, any subsequent file can only be opened using "File/Open" command. Using Windows Explorer or Drag&Drop does not work! and will freeze Illustrator; ending the application is only possible using the Windows Task Manager.
I'm running Illustrator CC (23.0.1 64-bit) ond Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.16299).THX for fixing this!

Paragraph Styles reverting back

I updated a paragraph style I've been using since the last version. So when I save the document it reverts some of the paragraphs to the previous paragraph style.

Panel tab clicking issues
I have been having issues when I click between two tabs that I group together in the same panel it will essentially freeze and only show me one of the panels if I am clicking on another. So for example I have the layer and link tab in one panel. I am currently on the layers panel and when I click on the links tab to switch to that panel it continues to show me the layers panel when I am looking to see the links panel if that makes sense? Text Objects become unresponsive
I'm encountering an issue where text objects will become unresponsive to direct selection. They behave like they have been locked but they haven't been, and using unlock all does nothing. The only way I've found to move them is by doing a broad drag select and gathering up multiple text objects at once. This will sometimes cause the text object to display it's bounding box. At this point I can deselect each of the other objects that were selected along with it and be left with just the problem object. Trying to move the object with the cursor will put…

Placed AI file in Photoshop as smart object won't launch Illustrator to edit anymore
Using Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134, Illustrator 23.0.1, Photoshop 20.0.0
With both Illustrator and Photoshop open, do the following:
1. Create a file in Illustrator (1 rectangle)
2. Save as .ai file, compatible w/17+, Create PDF compatible, Embed ICC Profiles, Use Compression
3. Make new Photoshop file
4. Place embedded & navigate to .ai file
5. Open as smart object (page)
6. Commit transform
7. Double-click thumbnail icon to edit in Illustrator
8. Get the following error, " Could not edit original smart object because the application which created the smart object could not be launched."3 votes -
No Rectangle Shape in toolbar
hi there, today the CC installed advised me to install a new version of Illustrator. Install went smoothly, but I noticed when I opened Illustrator that the shape tool that lets me draw a rectangle is missing. The rectangle with radial corners is there; so I can make one and set the corner rounding to 0; but it isn't as fast and convenient as just drawing a rectangle with sharp corners directly. Is this a new feature? Or is this a bug? (I'm hoping it is a bug)

Illustrator won't export SVGs - V. 23.0.1
When trying to export (for screens) artboards and/or assets, it does create subfolders but won't export any SVGs.
It does export PNGs etc but not SVGs.
