1. Freeform Gradients won't load in complex object groups/compound paths

   In Illustrator 2019, freeform gradients were unable to render in complex compound paths. I was attempting to add a freeform gradient within a compound path/grouped object set of leaves (about 20) of various shapes and sizes. I had used compond paths to add a freeform gradient to two objects previously (although with a few bugs - see bug titled "Illustrator 2019 Freeform Gradient and compund paths not quite right" in Other...), expecting the gradient to render. Although it sounded as though my computer was working hard to process the effect, nothing rendered after 5 minutes and so I gave up, resorting to a clipping mask solution instead.

3. New update is distorting character text

   I'm running Mac Mojave 10.14.1, and downloaded the latest CC 2019 update. I have used a paid for monogram font in illustrator for over 5 years with no issues until this recent download. Now there are distortions in several areas... Is there a fix for this??

5. Unable to activate fonts because "Not signed in" even though I am signed in!

   I am trying to open an Illustrator file that has two fonts which are not installed on my computer.

   When I open the file, a dialog comes up and I click the "Find Fonts" button. However, it gives me an error saying that I am not signed in (see attachment "not signed in").

   I am not able to click the Help menu option because the Find Font dialog window does not allow me to focus on the main window.

   When I close the Find Font dialog, I check the help menu to discover that I am, in fact signed in! (see attachment "signed-in")

   This is a terrible user experience to say the least.

   I am trying to open an Illustrator file that has two fonts which are not installed on my computer.

6. Gradient mesh points and handles dissapearing

   Illustrator 23.0.1 Windows 10

   Points and handles of gradient meshes sometimes disappear if i draw a another object, like a rectangle, near or over them.

   Points stay selectable but are not highlighted. If I move them with the Keyboard, they reappear!

8. When I export as png, application crashes

   Adobe version: 22.1, OS: Windows 10 (the adobe application is on a virtual desktop for security reasons.)

   From the last 2 weeks, I have not been able to export to png. This was never an issue until recently. I get a prompt for export for multiple screens. I've tried exporting it in multiple dpi (72, 192, and 300). This also crashes. I've tried choosing a single asset and exporting selection. This also results in a crash.

   Please help me find a solution.

9. Pantone + color book will not consistently "sort by name"

   I keep the Pantone+ Solid Coated book open always, but every time I reopen the program it reverts back to "sort by kind" instead of the "sort by name" I keep choosing and is my preference.

10. Object selection stays selected after clicking away or to a different object

    For many versions now the issue persist. Happened not only with this machine but with others all MACs running the latest update both on adobe and OS.

    The issue is with the selection tool. so I click on an object generally one that is grouped and then make edits then when I click away a larger bounding box appears as if I am selecting all but I cant pinpoint what it is that has been selected. I move a newly selected object that is not in the group to a different area of the artboard and the selection or bounding box remains. It reshapes itself when the newly selected object but noting else changes. There have been times when the something does change. I did read that a work around was to select all then click away, 80% of the time it works but sometime i have to just start creating a new object to make the bounding box go away.

11. Cannot scale item directly after placing...

    When I place either a file or library item by dragging onto the artboard, I cannot scale that item (via double-click on scale tool). It does not apply the transformation. I have to repeat the transformation in order to get it to apply. This does not happen however if I place an item through the file menu. See attached video.

12. Workspace Bug

    Have a strange bug. Have Dual Cinema displays with all of my palettes on one monitor. Saved workspace for this configuration. If I click to toggle between fill/stroke it resets my workspace and moves all of my palettes over to my first monitor but only in the bottom right 1/4 of the screen. If i hit "x' to toggle between fill/stroke this doesn't happen.

15. Link option in inactive in the Place dialog, even after a name is pasted from clipboard

    I am working on a huge document with hundreds of linked images. All files are now changed due to company policy. So I need to relink a bunch of files. This is not possible automatically so I believed I found a solution. But the shortcut was devastating. If i choose say 10 links which have the same name, lets call them Image1 but now the name should be Image01. Same image is in other words used in several places in same file. I marked the links and chose Relink. So far so good.
    I choose the new name Image01.ai and then I copy the filename and press OK until the first file is OK. Then it opens automatically a new window and i choose Ctrl-V with the image01.ai file and press enter. I enter this for all image files.
    Then I realized that the Link button is turned off???
    It´s on checked if i manually click image01.ai but not if i paste the filename.

    Please fix this bug and to be honest, a professional program as Illustrator should have batch-possibilities!

16. Adobe Illustrator 23.0.1 does not open files while running.

    The Issue:

    Adobe Illustrator won't open files ( .ai .eps , etc ) when Illustrator is running.
    Won't open files from Bridge, or explorer by double clicking or right click-> open with.
    Won't open files that are downloaded, by clicking on them,
    Won't open files from Internet Explorer with option: Open

    Illustrator Does open files when the program is not running.

    I did not install any additional plugins.

    Adobe Illustrator version:
    CC 23.0.1 ( Windows)

    Creative Cloud App Version:
    4.7.0.400

    i've checked files association in Win10, and in Adobe Bridge, reinstalled the app, updated, resetarted my computer.

17. Blank window opens when starting the application. Closing the window, the application closes too

    Hello !

    I just have the problem when launching the apps, there is a blank window appearing . If I close the window, the application is just closed too, error's image attached.

    It just happens on this PC, it works normally for others.

    I've already tried to reinstall the Creative Cloud and all the apps but nothing works.

    Have anyone faced this issue, please help! Thanks a lot!

18. Gradient panel - Angle tab flashing and temporarily freezing program

    This is a new problem today - I have restarted Adobe and my mac and no fix.

    Summary -

    I have my panels displayed on my UI - The gradient angle tab (even when no gradient is applied) begins to flash repeatedly and quickly - This causes the program to freeze for the second it is flashing.

    Further, once it has completed flashing it changes my tool randomly - I have had it change from move to artboard, from shape to pen, it seems random. Also the I have tried a different keyboard so it is not a bug in one of my keys.

    The last thing that I noticed is that I can recreate it by clicking out of illustrator and as soon as I come back in it does it again. The worst part about this is when using pen tool it ends the path I was working on as well.

    This is a new problem today - I have restarted Adobe and my mac and no fix.

19. 23.0.1 Windows 10: Toggle leading up and down in Character Palette unexpected behaviour

    When the leading is set to (Auto), using the up/down arrow UI buttons in the character palette to change the leading results in weird leading sizes. Toggling up from Auto using the up arrow in the UI produces a leading of 1 pt. Toggling down from Auto produces a leading of 1295 pts!

20. font finder/Missing font box keeps loading and unable to activate missing fonts

    Find Font box not working. Example i am missing fonts and when i open that menu it shows the fonts used in the document but the missing ones just have a loading circle next to it and it never stops.

    Also the Missing font box. When i do have the fonts and want to Activate them they will never activate, It just loads for 10mins and stops with out loading the fonts.
