Change color in scaled dynamic symbols looses strokes scale
When you place a symbol and scale it, of course, its strokes are scaled.
But if the symbol was dynamic, and you try to change the color, then all the other parts MIGHT get their own stroke "unscaled".
Look at the video below where all my shapes strokes reverted back to 24px instead of 50% scale (12px) If I had a more complex set of items, I can't imagine how to use dyn symbols at all, that's sad.

Style Sheets
In Illustrator CC (Latest version and several previous) on Mac:

Text size is not the same size as I set it
How do I get illustrator cc 18 which I pay per month for, to apply text size the same size on the monitor as I pick in the layout?? If I put in for instance .50 size text it will be approx. .375 on the monitor or my layout. This is aggravating. It is something I am doing wrong or HOW DO I CORRECT THIS SO IT WILL BE THE SAME SIZE AS I CHOOSE. THANKS Jerry L. Evans Kokomo, Indiana. layer panel crashes
Scrolling in the layers panel on the laptop crashed illustrator
and all the images disappeared from the recovered file.
my illustrator version is 22.1 64bit.
i am running win10 64 bit up to date.

White spot and white line always appear up when I working and when I do an other things it will move into other position
At the beginning it is work normal as usually then when I add something or move something there will happen a white line and white spot or missing part of my work and I try to ignored them but it will change position

Outline mode does not work
I have Illustrator CC, I have tried the work around of Ctrl+E then Ctrl+Y.
Outline mode displays the lines but freeze and won’t allow the color to leave the image or the lines to be manipulated. I’m so fed up how could I possibly use this program professionally, i have looked up the work around and tried Ctrl+E followed by Ctrl+Y and have tried to access through view mode, still no joy. Offset Path Won't Work
I am using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 and can't get negative offset path values to work. I am trying to create an offset path in the negatives in text that I have created outlines on. When I do positive numbers, the offset path gets bigger (as it should) When I do negative offset values, the object is duplicated but at the exact same size. I have tried using the offset path tool from both the 'object' and 'effect' tabs and neither is giving me results. I have also tried negative values ranging from -1 to -16,000... there is no change.

Can you please provide a screenshot or step-by-step details of what you are trying to do. I ask because it’s working fine for me (see attached screenshot; it’s quite possible that I misinterpreted what you are trying to achieve). Could it be that the negative offset you are applying is greater than the size of the object. In that case, it won’t work. Otherwise it should.

Edit Artboards/Convert a box to artboards Illustrator 18
Why cant Illustrator 18 snap to a box when converting to artboards? Also if you create a box copy it into your library.... then bring it back into illustrator and try to create artboards from it, you get a weird error stating its got a clipping mask or a rotation?

Illustrator 2018 crashes constantly..

Extrude and bevel
Trying to use 3d/extrude and bevel on a mbp 15 and the computer freezes until I cancel. Is it possible the window is showing beyond my screen? (had it connected to a monitor earlier, but restarted 3 times!)

New text box appearing on clicking in current text box
When you click in a text box with the type tool, it'll create a new text box unless you click on the actual word you want to modify. Or if you are trying to add something to the end of your text and click like a millimeter off the letter, it'll create a new text box.
This is super annoying and I'm not quite sure why this function is necessary. It didn't use to be like this until the last update. Please look at this for the next update for those who use a lot of text in Illustrator.

Object drawing error
When I click and drag to draw an object such as a rectangle or ellipse I get a wild error where Illustrator tries to draw all of the intermediary steps in between. I gives me an unknown error, and if you look in the layers palette you can see that it is actually drawing lots of objects rather than the one I'm intending to draw. I have attached a gif of what is happening.

Illustrator crashing after latest update
After updating Ai in the desktop app the program crashed on me several times during an afternoon. I worked with the pattern maker tool in one file and manualy in another file. After restarting both Ai and my iMac there is no way to open the files. I get a sign that says "Unable to open drawing". That happens only to the files created after updating. Illustrator 22.1 doesn't store version information in the metadata
In previous versions of Illustrator I could view which version of Illustrator a file was saved as, and the version that created it, in 'Get info' in the Mac finder. For example: 'Version: Saved As v.15 Created by v.22.0.1'. This info now isn't saved with the file as shown on the attached screenshots. For us this was a very useful for checking what version a file had been saved for.

Unselctable and undo glitch
When I go to select a shape or text item sometimes the bounding box disappears. Even when I go to show bounding box (command + Shift + B) the issue isn't resolved. I don't do anything different and it seems to happen randomly. I have to restart illustrator to fix it but sometimes that doesn't.
Once the bounding box disappears I cannot track the type and if I move an item it goes back to its org place.
Additionally, when I hit undo rather than going back one action it will go back 4 or 5 actions. This only happens…
