Outline preview bug

After updating to the two latest versions of Nvidias Drivers on my laptop Outline Preview does not work at all in Illustrator.
I tried to reinstall Illustrator, reinstall Nvidia drivers but nothing works.

The only solution right now is to switch to the integrated graphics Intek HD Graphics 530. But the performance is so much slower with this card :(

Illustrator version:
2017.1.0 Release (21.1.0 Release (64-bit)

Graphics card:
Nvidia Quadro M1000M

Nvidia driver version:
Quadro Desktop / Quadro Notebook Driver Release 384.
Version: 385.69

Hardware:
Dell Precision 5510 laptop

Platform:
Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit

We have a confirmation from nvidia that the issue has now been fixed for both GeForce and Quadro. Please update Nvidia GPU drivers to fix this issue.

We have a confirmation from nvidia that the issue has now been fixed for both GeForce and Quadro. Please update Nvidia GPU drivers to fix this issue.

We have confirmation from NVidia that this issue is fixed in GeForce series driver version 388.31 released on 15-Nov-2017. Fix for Quadro series driver will be available in next NVIDIA Quadro driver posting. We do not know release date for Quadro driver, will let you know once the driver with fix is released.. Thank you NVIDIA
Some technical details: The only affected systems are MSHybrid + Windows 10. MSHybrid is short for essentially, a system that houses both discrete GPU and Integrated GPU.

Meanwhile, additional keystrokes can help you.
Keyboard shortcuts – CTRL+E toggles GPU and CPU mode – CTRL+Y toggles between outline preview mode and the last preview mode (GPU/CPU)

WORKAROUND
1. if you have to move to outline mode press CTRL+E before to get into CPU mode and then press CTRL+Y
2. If you have to come out of outline mode press CTRL+Y you will come back to CPU preview mode as that was the last used mode in step 1.
3. Now press CTRL+E again to get back to GPU mode
4. repeat steps 1-3 each time you have to go to outline preview mode.

We have some good news and progress to share. NVIDIA has been able to reproduce and fix the issue. They are currently working on a fix to be available in the next NVIDIA driver posting. We do not yet know the date of when the driver will be available but will let you know when it is. Thank you NVIDIA

Can you please share “System Info” with us? (it is under the Help menu >> System Info in Illustrator)

I had the same issue with not being able to see any change in outline mode, however, I downloaded the Nvidia driver and it solved the issue straight away!

Bug: Pressing Ctrl + Y Does not reveal the Outline view. Other than not showing the outline view, the whole program freeze. I can still zoom in and out, and the percentage will appear, but nothing changes. and still the outline view cannot be shown.

Illustrator.exe – Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

I updated my Adobe software and now it doesn't work. Both Photoshop and Illustrator no longer work.

Installed / reinstalled both sets of software multiple times. Doesn't work.

Went back to Illustrator CC 2017. Doesn't work.

I updated Windows 10. Photoshop and Illustrator still don’t work.

Computer cleaned up and errors scanned for. No malware detected. No errors.

Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio updated.

Did an update for NVIDIA GeFoce GTX 960M. Still doesn’t work.

This is really frustrating as I need Illustrator for my work.

No matter what I do Photoshop and Illustrator will not work and all I get tis the following message:

I have same problem Adobe Illustrator CC (last release), Win 10 Pro - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4GB
GPU driver version 22.21.13.8569 (last release)

Outline view doesnt work - doesn't matter if GPU performance is allowed or not.

When I draw something and I want to switch from the GPU display to the contour display, it doesn't work. I can't go to the contour display.

I've installed the software like always with creative cloud and now, since I've switch from Mac to Surface Book, this specific feature doesn't work.
