Workspaces not working at all
Today (Mar 19th, 2018) I updated Illustrator and upon (re)launching, NONE of my pallets/Windows opened into the application. When I try to switch to built-in or custom Workspaces, nothing changes. The Workspace STAYS selected as my previously-selected Workspace and none show up. If I manually go look at the Windows in the menu, none are open and I can MANUALLY open them and move them around... "Manage Workspaces" and "New Workspace" are disabled (Gray) and no matter what I do, I cannot change or override. I have quit/relaunched numerous times - same results.

commentedI had the same problem, one day illustrator opened and everything was gone. no UI windows, nothing. I was unable to select any of the different workspace and even when one did work, the UI didn't actually changed. I couldn'T restart the workspace as all options to save a new workspace or reset them were greyed out. The only thing that worked for me was to delete all workspace profiles. i opened illustrator then Ctrl+Alt+Shift after that when I opened a work file the UI was reset back to the basic workspace that no one likes. I then had to remake my prefered workspace and save it. now it works. Waste of time, not linked to an update or anything in my case, in fact the illustrator on my home PC didn't do that, just the one at work. Yes, let us raise the price of the CC suite even tho it is bug riddled and we won'T offer better costumer service. at least open up a live chat like every other company out there.

commentedAnyone find a fix for this? I have workspaces setup for many different projects. To say this is irritating is an understatement! In general it's so frustrating the amount of bugs/issues that happen with CC these days. Please stop with the willy nilly updates Adobe!

commentedSame here, had my workspaces saved, now they're gone, not even the "Reset Workspace", "New Workspace" or "Workspace settings" are working. Thought it was something related to the update, so I downgrade my illustrator and still have same issues please help, can't work opening all the windows again every time I start Ai.

commentedWorkspaces, tools, the new UI in illustrator is disastrous. Can't understand why I have to spend hours making my workplace work - in order to actually start working?

commentedSame problem. NO workspaces will load, not defaults or the ones I've used for years. Nothing. have to rebuild it EVERY time I open Illustrator. Totally agree with Thomas Frogh!

commentedEverything has been great for the past 4 months that I've been using it. But now, every time I open it, the workspace essentials don't work/aren't there and I have to find and place the toolbar and the panels back. Very frustrating. Especially while I am also using this program for school classes.
