Not Loading Other Tabs
When having multiple tabs open, Illustrator will not show the other art when switching to a different tab. Ex. Document 1 and Document 2 are open and I have been working in Document 1 for a while. When switching to Document 2 tab, the art for Document 1 still shows and does not switch to the other tab. I can pull Document 2 tab off into it's own window and it will show, but once placing it back into the interface, it goes back to only showing Document 1. This happens multiple times a day and is causing me to restart every time it happens.

@andikm I had this problem for a long time and it didn’t go away until I upgraded to Catalina. (Not sure which OS or which platform you’re using). Another bit of advice someone gave me that worked for me prior to the OS upgrade was to uncheck “Application Frame” and then recheck it, if I recall. (Window > Application Frame). Before discovering that, I usually had to restart the software. Hope that helps.

This is still an issue and now on Version 25.2. Not only on happening on Document tabs , but also other tabs such as Swatches, Brushes and Appearance.

Same issue here on my end, both Illustrator and Photoshop.. Has been an issue now for a year or more for me. Talked to reps in the forums, as did many others, they said it should be addressed 2 updates ago. Still an issue unfortunately. Not a massive problem rendering the software unusable or something, but at times, a serious inconvenience.
I am using Illustrator 24.2.3, Mac OS 10.13.6. iMac late 2015 (thus not the latest OS) 4 GHz Intel Core i7 / 32GB 1867 MGz DDR3 / AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB.
