View Using GPU Gets Greyed Out Permanently with Outline Mode
Hello, with fresh preferences, 'View using GPU' and scrubby zoom are enabled in Illustrator. if I turn on Outline Mode, Illustrator loses connection with my GPU. The 'View using GPU' option becomes greyed out and never restores. In order to get it back I have to delete my preferences. Here is my system info:
Illustrator 25.1
OS: Windows 10
GPU: 2 x NVIDIA Titan Black
RAM: 64 GB Memory
GPU Driver: Driver 460.89
Display: ASUS PQ321Q 4K

I have same issue here, i'm working on windows 10 (19042.746)
64bit with nividia GeForce GTX 1660 Superi only need to close document en reopen it. then the GPU view is working again.
It breakes everytime with outline view (ctrl+y)
view using GPU is then greyed out.Please solve this soon.

Hi,
For me, the bug occurs when switching from the Outline view and back to GPU preview.
When I do this, I lose my GPU preview after the Outline view.Here is my config:
Windows 10 Pro 64 2004 Build.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 Ti Max Q 27.21.14.5256 (from the Lenovo website).
Intel UHD Graphics 27.20.100.8729.My fix was to downgrade from 25.1 to 25.0.1

"View using GPU" option stops working and becomes greyed out after using "outlines" view on the active document. (Continues to work on other open documents).
Using Illustrator 25.1 on Windows 10 (OS Build: 18363.1316).

When I press Control Y to see the Outline view, then press Control Y again to go back, it does not go back to GPU preview. GPU is greyed out. I can´t use the animated zoom after that. I have to restart Illustrator to get back to GPU preview.

I have the same problem (Windows 10, NVIDIA GPU with latest drivers).
In my case problem occurs in current document window only. Other opened document windows work fine until I switch to outline view and go back to preview in each window. Closing and reopening document fixes the problem but it's not the solution. -

In Illustrator 25.1, if I open any file that has any amount of content (even just a single shape), there's a problem with GPU view. If I press Control Y to view wireframe, then press Control Y again to return to GPU view, it does not go back to GPU view. GPU view is greyed out and it goes to CPU view. If I do the same with an empty document, I can go back and forth from Wireframe to GPU view repeatedly and GPU view is not greyed out.

Hi,
Are you unable to switch between previews or once switching to outline preview Illustrator freezes? If possible can you please share a screen recording of the issue , so we can debug your issue.
