Have you checked the object is not grouped to a hidden guide?

i can select the object using the selection tool but i could not move the object using selection tool, please help for this situation.

Working on Windows 10. While working on design, suddenly could not move text or objects in any way.

I created an object and then if I try to move it anywhere else in the document it just dings at me. I can move it with the arrow keys but not with the selection arrow. I have read all of the posts and tried everything suggested. Including reinstalling Illustrator and nothing works. I have checked to make sure the box is not checked to move by path only. As it is, Illustrator at the current moment is totally unusuable. I am going to have to use Inkscape. I want my Illustrator to work. This is why i pay big bucks for it. I have found posts as far back as 2005 with no solution to the problem. Why has it been an issue for that long? If I can't get illustrator to work I might as well quit paying for it and try the alternatives. 90% of my work is done in Illustrator.

Objects not moving. I see it's 2018 and anonymous shared this idea and still no fix to this major bug, if I can't create good content what's the point of spending all this money on illustrator I might as well get a free upload from another source. Thanks, you just gave me a good idea.

In Illustrator (most recent version), at random times, it will stop allowing my to select or drag anything in my art. I can still select and adjust elements in the panels but the actual art elements won't work. I am using a mouse and have tried with both trackpad and mouse but neither changes anything. If I select an element, I can move them with the directional buttons but it's impossible to use the mouse to do so. Please fix this as soon as possible!

Objects are not moving. This is a persistent issue when is adobe going to fix it?

Have you enabled Hide Bounding box . Center widget hides due to this

I just don't know why, after 2018 update both illustrator and photoshop have lots of bugs. now I just can't move object. my layer isn't locked. any idea? I will revert to previous version tomorrow.
