2. Scrubby Zoom stopped working

   My Scrubby Zoom suddenly stopped working. It worked this morning and after it wouldn't work at all.
   It's activated in my GPU Performance under Animated Zoom.
   I'm NOT in Pixel Preview or in Traced Preview.
   I have a 2023 Macbook Pro M2 Max Sonoma 14.6.1

3. Not Responding Issues

   What is wrong with Illustrator today? As I am working on an infographic, every time I do something the program with stop responding/"not responding" for 3-10 seconds. It is extremely difficult to work like this.

4. I'm tired. Tools occasionally don’t work, artboards don’t get edited, links don’t hold.

   My illustrator since I downloaded it has been very bad, at the moment it is buggy and does not let me edit the artboards, I even had to restart my PC. The bug happens with all the tools and just with the passing of the hours it fixes itself, but I'm tired. I can't even add images or screenshots because it doesn't leave me when it's in that state, it's not my computer, it's a very good computer and I can't say it's because I'm doing something wrong. Simply out of nowhere some tool does not work or the application crashes directly.

6. Baisse de performance au bout d'un certain temps

   Illustrator fonctionne parfaitement jusqu'à un moment où les raccourcis claviers ne fonctionne plus, le traitement de texte met du temps à afficher le texte que je rédige et la moindre action fait apparaître la roue de chargement sur la souris.

   La solution (que j'espère temporaire) que j'ai trouvé est de fermer et de réouvrir l'application

7. Take long time when create new file / open file / save file on local

   I'm using macbook m2, I just downloaded Ps and Ai from Adobe Creative Cloud. Ps is normal but Ai always loading (about 3mins) when I create new file, open file and save file. Please help me fix it.

8. Illustrator 2024 keeps crashing, no crash report, no recovery files

   I've been using Illustrator on my desktop since 2019, I haven't changed anything on my setup in terms of hardware or software. Illustrator was working perfectly fine up until lately (within the last 2 months). I've worked on large files and multiple files with heavy memory loads perfectly fine. But now, I can barely have two Illustrator documents open without it crashing. A crash report doesn't pop up and it doesn't save my recovery files even though I have that function enabled. I have one document open right now, it only has two photos and a shape with a gradient, photos are just 1080p resolution. I tried to select the color for a stroke on a shape... Illustrator went non-responding and crashes without warning or explanation or crash report.

9. Hitting Alt Makes Cursor Look/Feel Laggy and Slow

   This has been going on for MANY years/versions of Illustrator and I've seen many posts here about the issue but it's yet to be resolved or have any work arounds.

   All you have to do to replicate the bug is to hit alt (don't even need to hold it) and assuming you're on a high refresh rate monitor you will instantly feel input lag and see the cursor moving at what appears to be 30fps or less, until you left click with mouse, then it will go back to normal. When you hit ALT there should be no difference in the rendering of the mouse cursor. It should feel and look just as smooth as before you hit ALT.

   While this isn't a program breaking bug it's still annoying nonetheless. When you're used to moving the mouse at a certain speed and you hit alt to duplicate or whatever you want to do the mouse instantly feels off/slow and it really breaks down the smoothness of the program to me since ALT is a very critical hotkey.

   Please work on fixing this next update.

   This happens on newest version 28 and has happened on every version of illustrator as far back as I can remember over 8 years. Win 11 64 bit fully updated but again happened on Win 10 64 bit also. This is NOT an operating system specific issue. This is a bug within the Adobe Illustrator engine.

11. Illustrator 27.6.1 randomly freezing...

    This is happenng to a few of the machines in my office. AI will randomly stop responding. The window will grey out and the only way to resolve is to force quit (I've given it an hour once to see if it resolved itself, but no).

12. GPU performance enabled, but Illustrator is still using CPU at 100%?

    Greetings, I have a 4070 ti and an AMD Ryzen 9 5900x (12 core) with 64 gb of RAM config, windows 11 machine. I have resetted the config files (deleted all the folders there), whenever I open a project that has 3d materiales and objects in it, illustrator refuses to use my GPU, despite having all the relevant boxes ticked in preferences. Here is a screenshot of whats happening. I am a CC subscriber and using the latest version (27.6.1 64bit). My video card should be able to handle any 3d task I set to it silky smooth, just applying "inflate and basic color parameters, plus raytracing" makes everyting take ages, instead of fast changes like I see on some of the tutorial videos

13. 100% View is Inaccurately Sized - Wrong Monitor Resolution Detected?

    This is marked ad fixed in older bug reports, but it is still an issue in 2023.
    When viewing my artwork at 100% Display, it is not accurate. The document I will refer to for this example is a 6"x9" postcard. The settings I have tried and the actual results are below:

    1. Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is checked
       Result: ≈7.5"x11"

    2. Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is not checked
       Result: ≈5.25"x8"

    3. Tried both of these settings with the "View Actual Size" shortcut, they rendered the same results.

    So currently, the only way for me to actually see the true size of the document I'm making is to zoom and measure with a ruler until it's accurate. With the first setting, 81% zoom is the actual size. With the second setting, 113% zoom is the actual size.

    When posting this to the community, a community expert recommended I report this as a bug, suggesting that Illustrator might just have detected the wrong monitor resolution.

14. Illustrator is crashing all day long, for no reason

    Illustrator is crashing straight away, it just crashes and closes, sometimes recovering the file worked on at the time and sometimes not, and for no apparent reason to me. It doesn't crash with a specific file, it has crashed with several. I stopped counting after crashing 20 times in one day. I use a Creative Cloud account where I alternate using it between a Windows computer (at work) and at home on an iMac (home-office) and it only crashes on Windows. There is no conflict to report in System Compatibility Report in the Help menu. When it crashes and closes, when reopening no specific error message appears.

16. freeze on save

    I have consistent problems with Illustrator 27.2 hanging/lagging (becoming entirely unusable, with any action resulting in a ca. 10-second wait) following saving. This seems to happen only if I happen to switch to another open window/program while saving is in progress. This has only been happening w/in the last few weeks, so perhaps connected to a recent update? The only way to correct the problem is to quit and restart Illustrator (even shutting down the individual file isn't sufficient). It happens whether or not I'm using an external monitor.

    I'm on a 2022 14" MBP, 16 GB RAM, Ventura 13.2

17. two fingers touchpad navigation bug

    When I am using two fingers on touchpad to navigate through document, the movement is not fluid - it's like playing game on low FPS. When I am using spacebar + mouse to navigate - its fine.

18. Illustrator is freezing

    It's been 2 weeks that illustrator keeps freezing. I have updated, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, and still does the same thing. I'm working on a file and once I want to save, the app freezes and I can't do anything about it, no button works or anything and I'm unable to save as every time I save that's when it happens.
    I see my page/work but can't touch anything, the only way to get out is to Force quit from the task manager.
    Really need this to be resolved as I use illustrator everyday for work and can't save any of my work.

19. Slow performance / undesirable switch to CPU preview

    Operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.7
    Illustrator: 26.5

    When turning on rulers or editing the artboard, Illustrator switches to CPU preview, which is very slow.

    After closing and reopening the file, the gpu preview is active. (If i don't save the file with rulers turned on)

20. Custom guides make Illustrator unusable when viewed as dots

    I've made guides out of a large number of lines (forming an iso grid). This works fine as long as I am viewing the guides as lines, but when changing the view to Dots in settings, Illustrator get so slow that I can't even move around in the document. I am using Windows 10 version 26.1. I also have v25.4.1 installed and it is the same thing there.

    Maybe it would be less performance demanding if we could set transparancy on guides instead of using dots?
