Creative Cloud item linked to "old" item when moving to another CC Library
I have several Library on AI Creative Cloud (shared with a colleague). There is a "Final" Library where we store the design that will be used to print on final products, and there is a WIP (work in progress) library that we use for the yet to be released.
In Final Library there might be an item call "1234a" and we would be working on "1234b" in the WIP library (1234b usually would be made as a duplicate from 1234a and then renamed and edited)
Then we would place the 1234b on our artboard arrange several other items etc.
Once we validated the design, I would to edit the "1234a" item with a big red cross to signify it would be outdated (In case this 1234a would be used in other files), and move it into an "archive" library and then I would move the "1234b" item from WIP to Final library.
This used to work fine until recent update of AI, but now when I do this "move to another library" all the 1234b that were present on the artboard while the 1234b was still in the WIP library would regress to 1234a... So i would need to relink all again! So that's a huge rework to do for all our files.
I describe a "simple" case where we update on item from a to b, and it would be obvious that we regressed to a as the big red cross to signify "outdated" would appear, but if I forget to have this discipline or for whatever reason we dont want to use this red cross, then AI would swap the element on the artboard with an old outdated one without any notice.
That is something I hope can be fixed.This happened both on me using Mac OS Catalina, and my colleague on Windows 10, both of us updated to last AI 24.2.3

Artboard moves when clicking in Recolor Artwork dialog
Using Windows 10 English & Illustrator 24.3.1 beta.
In them Recolor Artwork dialog (with the new color wheel), I can make the artboard move down or to the right by interacting with the "Dominant Colors" box.
Steps to reproduce:
1) With an open document, select artwork
2) Open Recolor Artwork dialog
3) Click in the "Dominant Colors" box, move the mouse slightly upwards, then hold the cursor where it is (around the top of the "Dominant Colors" box).Expected result: The artboard does not move
Actual result: The artboard moves downwards*** the artboard can be moved to the right if the mouse is moved to the left slightly (during step 3) instead ***

Illustrator's "Open..." dialogue box's File Format type dropdown Locks program
- System info: Windows 10 Pro v1903 Illustrator 2020 v24.2.3
- Launched the program, from the home screen, I went to File>Open... When the Dialogue box for opening a file popped up, I went to the filetype selector to the right of the file name field, and clicking the dropdown arrow causes the program to lock up.
- I expected a dropdown to allow me to filter visible by file types.
- I had to force quit the application.

Save for Web broken in v24.2.x
Windows 10 x64 v1909.
In previous versions of Illustrator (up to v23.1), Save to Web would work correctly even when a file had multiple artboards. However in v 24x; the Save for Web is adding additional pixels around the image even when the artboard selected does not have additional space.
I have attached two screengrabs of the same file, one using AI2019 (correct)_ and the other using AI2020. In both cases the identical artboard is selected and same settings applied.
Further, if the 'crop to artboard' option is checked, then an additional line of transparent pixels appears in the outputted PNG which is not there in the original artwork. Again two example screengrabs are attached to demonstrate this, along with the PNG files generated from the different Illustrator versions.

Illustrator 24.2.3 crashes at exit, cannot see contents once 2019 file is opened, preview displays
Illustrator 24.2.3, cannot open a file for editing that worked fine in earlier version of Illustrator, probably CC 2019, to make a change. A preview is displayed before opening. Fortunately CS5 can open it, otherwise I would have lost a customer. After closing 24.2.3, it crashes about 50% of the time on any file I have modified. The CS5 versions of files being posted were produced by using CS5 to open the CC 2019 versions, although it complained that they were newer and might not have valid text attributes, and saving to CS5 format. The eps and TIF are used by the tray card. The 2up has the tray card positioned for printing on a special stock. This is a bug, not a feature! All files being worked on are local to my Windows 10, Version 1909 PC running Illustrator.

New Update's shape tool take up an extraordinary amount of power.
The shape builder tool takes 4 minutes to finish deleting shapes (when hit alt to get the minus sign and subtract shapes from a selection). It takes up so much power from my CPU that my task manager says illustrator is taking up 100%. Deleting the inner parts of a font (D, R, P) took 2 hours last night when making a logo. I restarted my computer 8 times, started a new illustrator file 4 times (thinking it was a corrupt file) and eventually just waited out the extrodinary processing times to get my project done. It's really ridiculous.

V24.2.3 Artboard Lockup
When using the artboard selection tool, selecting multiple items may trigger Illustrator to lock up and become unresponsive. The application doesn't report as non-responsive but the UI becomes unclickable.

Leaders in Tab
I was using leader with tabs to draw lines. They do not flush evenly to the right in Illustrator 2020 (24.2.3). This feature works in Illustrator 2019 (23.1.1). On a Mac (10.14.6)

Hanging on "Unembed"
When trying to "unembed" an image in an AI file, it is very common for the software to completely stall when attempting to navigate to a save location. I have already run this problem through Apple (re:finder) and they claim that it is not a finder issue, but based in the selected software. Upon force quit and relaunch, the process will succeed. As a graphics professional, I have used this command many times daily, for 20 years, and have never experienced an issue until now. Honestly, I have no idea and cannot find any resources to reference.

it will niot update ans says it is running in safe mode. illustrator will not open any work that is put in cloud from my mac to my hp
have clearer communication when apps quit working proprly instead of just disappearing off the laptop

Saving of files DISCARDED in certain conditions
When I'm in the midlle of saving a file, (so while I get the progress percents next to the name of the file) if I press CTRL + SHIFT + S, it DISCARDS the saving of the .ai, no warning message as it previously did (something along the lines "The document "***" is currently getting saved. Try again after the process is complete") and proceeds with exporting the PDF, leaving me with an old version of the .ai file, and with a PDF that it's up to date.

Preference settings for Type have changed
Previous versions of Illustrator allowed me to set my preferences for type to this:
Size/Leading = 0.5pts
Baseline shift = 0.5ptsBut in Illustrator cc 2020 v24.2.2 it is no longer possible to do that. This is what I am getting:
Size/Leading = 1pt
Baseline shift = 1ptIt seems like 1pt is now the lowest you can go.

errors loading plugins on 2020 illustrator
Since i updated my Illustrator to the latest 2020 version, i get a list of about 15 or more plugins not loaded successfully...
i can open my project but then my work space is gone and all my drawing tools to the left are gone and i cannot do stroke, fill or shapes....my older version was working perfect... now my computer crashes every 15 min and i get errors of plugins not loaded when i start again....so frustrating i am about to cancel my membership.
i tried installing the older version i had and i still get the errors.
i haven't been able to finish my projects in the last 4 days!!!Please help!

In the latest version cursor keys are now moving the selected objects/nodes 2 pixels instead of 1
Up until 24.2.1 if I selected an object or node and hit the cursor keys they would move 1 pixel in the direction of the key. Now all of a sudden they move 2. makes trying to align/tweak the position of objects/nodes really difficult and painful
1 voteThis often happens when we open Preferences and accidentally press Up or Down arrow key. The very first field focused in the dialog is Keyboard Increment value, and pressing an arrow makes it either zero (which turns into the smallest allowed value of 0.0001) or 2 (if you had 1).
Open Preferences and change the value back.

Custom Brush doesn’t get affected by color
I am not able to change the color for my custom brushes. Whenever I select a new color for the brush, the brush still paints black. I have opened and closed the program several times but nothing has worked. I have deleted and made new brushes, but I am still having the same problem.

Changing it to be Tints or any other form the dropdown in the brush’s options solves the problem.

When opening, keeps opening tabs and keeps looping
This keeps happening, even after re-installing. I cannot use illustrator at all.

Undo not working when Align Panel is active
After clicking one of the Align/Distribute tools, Cmd-Z to undo does not have any effect. After clicking in the artboard, undo works again.
