1. Keyboard Increment works wrong and arrow keys move object more than they should

   I have the problem as a result of the last update to Illustrator 2025, version 29.0 (October 2024)

   The measurement set in the Preferences section, General in Keyboard Increment does not displace the configured measurement. For example, I set 0.5 mm and when moving with the arrow key to the sides it moves 0.706 mm

   Likewise, when using Shift + Arrow you must move the measurement 10 times, in my example you must move 5 mm but it moves 5,292 mm

   Please correct ERROR it is very useful and necessary, it makes me waste time in the Design

   The issue reported no longer happens in 29.0.1.

   In case a similar problem happens with you, make sure you have both Snap to Grid and Snap to Pixel disabled.

2. Scale Tool center point sticking to the cursor

   When using the Scale tool, when I drag the center point with the mouse (actually it happens when using the pen), it sticks to the tip of the cursor and does not go away for a while. I lower the program window down, switch to other programs, only then it is solved. The program locks at that time.

3. A part of a traced image vanishes when using Image Trace

   When changing raster graphics to vector graphics, an image element (with a yellow background) was removed. It looks like Adobe Illustrator does not recognize this color. How can I solve this problem?

5. Tip popup when zooming in and out (Alt key while brush is selected)

   Whenever I zoom in and out using Alt + scroll wheel or a shortcut on my Wacom pencil, and have a Pencil or Brush selected, the smoothing tool pops up and gives this 'tip' that is obstructing my work. Turning tool tips off does not help.

   'To smooth a section, select its anchor points with the direct selection tool and adjust the slider.'

   It is really annoying, I'm not trying even trying to smooth the paths, just zooming! The tip stays on screen until I do something else, and pops back up whenever I hit alt. I know how the smoothing works, please let me get rid of this.

6. Some shortcuts don't work with Mac Sequoia 15.2 OS

   The spacebar does not resize something when drawing. Instead it brings up the properties box and sounds an error alarm on the Mac Mini Pro M4. Additionally, the keyboard shortcuts, such as M or H, stop working mid program. The up/down keys don't change the number of sides while drawing a polygon. I'm running version 29.1 I've already disabled any spacebar shortcuts native to the OS. Even running in safe mode, Adobe creative cloud programs have incompatible shortcuts with Mac Sequoia.

8. We can’t use Eyedropper to sample the look of a dimension object and apply it to another selected one

10. Dimension die but don’t get expanded when pasted along with the objects with Paste Remembers Layers enabled into a different document

    I have a floor plan.
    Some of the objects I have there have live dimensions attached.
    I need to copy them all from an older revision of the file into a newer one.

    1. I select objects and their dimensions together
    2. I enable Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers panel’s flyout menu
    3. I copy them
    4. I open the different document and run Edit > Paste in Place command

    It all looks fine... Objects get pasted where expected: dimensions into their own layer, other stuff to other layers.
    No shy message about objects being expanded.
    All dimensions are displayed as single entities within Layers.

    But if I choose now to move objects — their attached dimensions won’t update!

11. Measure tool stops working for measuring an area after we toggle to Selection tool with Cmd/Ctrl and move the object

    If we create an object and try to measure its area with the Measure tool — it gets highlighted and the area gets calculated fine, showing the result in the Info panel.
    But as soon as we hold Cmd/Ctrl to temporarily pick Selection tool, and move the object, releasing Cmd/Ctrl breaks the measuring — no area, no highlight. Reselecting doesn’t help.

12. Pencil Tool not performing accurately

    Pencil tool not performing accurately. Continued issue after updating to the 2025 version of Illustrator. Despite tinkering with pencil tool options, the shape will continue to skew compared to what I am drawing. Fidelity is on its most "accurate" setting.

13. Curvature Tool hotkey Shift+` (shown as Shift+~) doesn’t work with Russian keyboard input

    Ai team believes everyone uses English it feels like.
    Backtick is reported to fail to work often, but here it’s even more convoluted.
    In Russian, the key that houses backtick (`) and the tilde (~, with Shift held) types Cyrillic 'ё' and its capital from 'Ё' respectively.

    If I map Curvature Tool to just backtick — it works.
    But with Shift added, like Ai offers by default — nope.

    In this case — here is another related problem with Russian: Color / Gradient / None key under the Fill / Stroke selector are mapped to these keys , . / (comma, period, slash) in a 'standard' layout, but in Russian work as бю. (two Cyrillic letters and period)... so this makes None key work as Gradient with Russian input — and it’s infuriating. Here the position of the key matters, and not the symbol on it!

14. Rectangle and shape feature only has pixels as measurement even though Inches is selected in Preferences.

    I've updated to the latest Illustrator and old versions and new versions have this same issue. When creating a rectangle or shape, it only allows pixels instead of inches even though my preferences for units is selected for INCHES. This is absolutely annoying as I can 't even put in a size for printing like a business card or letter because it only wants pixels for measurements. I've been an Illustrator user for over 30 years and this bug is huge that apparently is not being addressed in previous releases.

17. Move Tool Malfunction

    I can't select the move tool properly-- or any other tool in this case. The main selected tool is stuck in the hand tool. After a while, it switches to the move tool and it gets crazier!!

    Whenever I select a layer or an object, there's a 1-3 second delay. Can this be fixed? My projects are affected. I tried resetting the app already.

18. Blob Brush tool not functioning - making smaller shapes than I’ve drawn and nowhere near the right shape

    I'm trying to draw with the blob brush tool - its not creating anything close to what I’m drawing if at all, sometimes it just does a single dot. it's also been extra laggy of late - taking full seconds to register I’ve moved the mouse.

19. Pen Tool Randomly Deactivating Briefly (a LOT)

    Just updated to CC 2025 and have been introduced a bug where the pen tool now randomly deactivates for a split second and begins a new path. I've tried rebooting the suite, closing all other programs, but the issue is persistent. It happens so often I just clocked it at around 3-4x per minute. Insanely frustrating and making things take far longer than they should.

    I'm running on a brand new M3 MacBook Air, not a complex file at all either.

20. Smooth Tool Interferes with Touch Ring Zoom Function on Wacom Tablet

    The Smooth tool pop up conflicts with the touch ring on a Wacom tablet. I have the touch ring set to zoom and when using a brush, the Smooth tool annoyingly pops up every time a zoom in or out using the touch ring. Cant find a way to disable it. HELP!
