1. Document Info units do not match Document Setup units

   Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
   Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).
   This is a regression, it did not happen in Illustration 2019.

2. NOT RESPONDING

   The program works fine whenever im doing line work for my portraits but as soon as I highlight it and merge it together the program starts acting really slow and not responding which makes it impossible to work

3. Artborads erased and layers grouped when opening a file, Illustrator 2020

   Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1), Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

   Whenever I close a file with multiple artboards and multiple layers, and re-open it, all artboards but one are erased (and renamed to "Artboad1"), and all my layers are grouped into one single layer.

   Even when I fix the file, and save it, the next time I open it, the same thing happens.

5. Illustrator 2019- always making a selection

   When I want to use the application, illustrator decides it wants to draw a selection. If I reach out of the workspace to use the toolbars or panels, it will draw a selection from on the artboard to my cursor, as if I were clicking and dragging. If I click back onto the artboard to disengage the selection and try to use the panels, it will make a new selection from the point I clicked. This renders the program unusable. There is also a lot of lag when navigating menus, and the cursor will decide to stick to the scrollbars at the bottom if I use them, too. I have tried using a different mouse and keyboard to no avail. Attached are my system specs.

6. Crashes while Saving larger files

   My illustrator crashes my 2019 iMac every. single. time. I try to save large files I haven't had issues with in the past (1 month ago!). I have the most updated version of IOS as well as Illustrator. I'm very frustrated!

9. Rendered objects not matching the outline

   I have found multiple rendering issues with Illustrator 2020 on Mojave 10.14.6
   There are three types:

   1.) When cutting an object with the path finder, it might occasionally produce straight lines instead of curves, although I can't replicate this and it happens rarely.

   2.) The displayed object doesn't follow the outline accurately in general. This is blatantly obvious when zooming in to the max and drawing a small object.

   3.) Lines aren't smooth, they have extremely tiny irregularities. These disappear when zooming (even when already at max) but only for the current screen. Moving the camera reveals new ones and point 2. stays always.

   From what I tested, saving to .ai or .svg carries over point 1. and recalculates 2. and 3. Apparently that's just an issue Illustrator has in general?
   Saving to .pdf or .png seems to fix everything, making these bugs only annoying when an Illustrator file is required.

10. Super slow response since updating to Illustrator 2020

    Illustrator takes a few minutes to respond to switching a layer on and off even when I'm working in 640x480 pixels !!

11. "operation cannot be completed for unknown reason [!now]" when outputting large png

    Trying to export as png, art size is 80cm x 80cm, trying to save anything greater than 800ppi results in "operation cannot be completed..."

    Operation is successful at anything up to 800ppi - file size at 800ppi is 120.9 MB.

12. Scatter Brush - Can't modify settings after initial setup

    Hello,
    I'm running Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.0.0 on Windows 10.0

    There seems to be a bug with the Scatter Brush tool, which I've encountered in the past few releases.

    The "OK" button in the Scatter Brush Settings dialog doesn't seem to work; clicking it doesn't update the brush to your new settings. Instead, the dialog remains open as if the OK button was disabled (or the click wasn't registered). The same thing happens when there are no changes made to the options in the dialog...it simply won't register the OK button. Only the Cancel button closes this dialog (and no changes get applied, of course).

    Steps taken:
    1) Create new Scatter Brush with customized settings (all options set to "Random" with varying parameters)
    2) Click OK. Dialog closes and new Scatter Brush is created with settings per #1.
    3) Open the Scatter Brush Settings dialog for the brush we just created.
    4) Change parameters.
    5) Click OK. The button flashes as though it were clicked, however the dialog box remains on screen. Click again and same thing. Tab over to the OK button using the keyboard and press the "Enter" key on keyboard. Same result, dialog box remains open.
    6) Only the "Cancel" button (or "Escape" key) will close this dialog. The updated settings don't get applied and the Scatter Brush remains the same as before the whole ordeal.

13. Recolor artwork doesn't work

    To recolour an image from 16 to 5 colors (or other amount) doesn't work. It only makes the image appear lighter but it is still 16 colours.

14. Spot color names are incorrect in other applications

    I'm using Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1) on macOS Mojave (10.14.6) in Japanese.

    Opened an Illustrator 2020 file containing spot colors with Japanese names in Acrobat or place it to InDesign, the names are not as expected.

    I can use English names for the new ones, but changing InDesign ink settings in all existing files can be difficult.

15. Buggy blue screen redraw

    1. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017). 3.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5. 40 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. Radeon Pro 580 8 GB. (Adobe Ai - 24.0.1) Note: App Was working perfectly prior to this latest update this evening 11.12.2019)

16. Issues while in 3D Revolve. In the Ai 24.0.1 - MAC OS 10.13.6

    While in 3D Revolve, I am trying to apply a created Symbol onto a half circle with a gradient. Within the dialog box, there is a message that says "the gradient will be rastorized", which changes my gradient from "red to black gradient" to a "balck and white gradient". That changes my whole effect.

17. AI displays the START SCREEN on opening the file and the document view do not switches (refreshes) the file content.

If you are encountering the below mentioned issues with latest Version (24.0.1 on Mac and Win), then please vote on this User voice thread and provide Test File via File->Package, Video and steps via dropping email at sharewithai@adobe.com along with this thread link so that we can identify and fix the root cause.

    1. On opening a file in Illustrator the START SCREEN do not gets dismissed and the file’s content is not visible.
    2. While working on a file and opening a new one the document view sticks to the old file and do not switches to the new file artwork.

    Please remember to update graphic driver. We are also seeing cases where updating graphic card driver fixes the issue. You can update your driver via https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-gpu-performance-driver-update.html .

18. Crashing every 10 minutes or less

    Hello,

    I am currently doing a piece of art on illustrator and it keeps crashing every 10 minutes or sometimes less. Something that should take me an hour or less is now taking me currently 3 hours and I'm not even half way through because it keeps crashing and it's frustrating that I pay so much for something and I can't even do what I want because it doesn't want to work or allow me to do work. It's even more frustrating having to stop and save every minute or so when this all can be prevented.

19. Missing fold out panels

    When not using the > window > application frame.
    The fold out panel windows disappear.

    Only when the > window > application frame is turned back on, the panels fold outs are visisible again.

    This results in Illustrator being not fully functional whithout using the applicatio frame.

20. Illustrator Not Holding Clipping Masks

    Hello. I'm not sure if this is just an "operator error" or if this is a bug in the new Illustrator 2020, but every time I reopen my AI file the clipping masks have been removed. Is there a fix for this? It started happening when I updated to 2020.
