1. Allow templates to save a color profile

   Allow templates to save a color profile instead of opening EVERY TIME as untagged RGB or CMYK. Or at the very least, since Color Management Policy is set to Convert to Working Space... DO THAT!

2. Quick Preview on Mac is not Working

   On Mac with the new Big Sur update, my Illustrator files show up as just the Illustrator logo and it does not preview any artboards.

   Also, when pressing the spacebar, a wheel starts turning, then just the logo pops up. There is no file preview it seems after the Big Sur update.

3. When creating new document in 24.2, two artboards are created

   Creating new document. Two artboards appear, even though I only requested one. I also now have "video safe areas" showing in default and can't get them to not show upon setting up new document.

4. Window not showing

   From the Finder (MacOS X 10.15.4), I open a n illustrator Document. The app comes forward and I see a black screen. The "Window" menu tells me that the document is open BUT where? I don't see it (nope, I don't have a second monitor). Close the invisible window and the Window menu shows nothing open. Try again, from the finder and again, no windows look opened. Try from Illustrator, File/Open: same thing, another fail. Quit app, relaunch app by launching doc from the Finder. now the file opens as it should. Close file, try again. Back to the black screen. This started happening after this morning's (04/21/2020) update.

6. SVG arc path without whitespace standard syntax broken

   When an arc is described using a missing whitespace, which is perfectly valid SVG syntax, it will not be rendered correctly in Illustrator. This was discovered with SVG files compressed by SVGO 1.3+ and later which has the arc path optimisation by default.

   This syntax should work as it is a standard part of the SVG specification and is rendered correctly by all major web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

   In the attached example an arc is written as:

   a.65.65 0 011.109-.459

   The string 011.109 contains 3 values:

   0
   1 (a boolean is required here, it cannot be 11.109)
   1.109

   This syntax (with missing whitespaces) follows the SVG 1.1 standard: https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/paths.html#PathDataBNF

7. Disappearing artboards in Illustrator 24.0.3

   I created a bunch of artboards and put logotypes (word logos) in them, exported each artboard as separate SVGs, closed the file. When I opened the file the next time, only my first artboard still remained but all my artboards I created after that were gone. This is disruptive because I need to keep the placement of all of the graphics in those artboards consistent as they are going to appear on the same baseline in our product. This is not the first time this has happened to me! I can't attach an image as the content cannot be public yet.

8. Can't place file on to artboard

   1. 10.14.6 and 24.0.2
   2. File > Place > Show Import Options > Place > Bug here... can not select multiple 'all' pages. Also, the fonts are not embedding from the placed file.
   3. Be able to have the option to select All or Individual Pages under Show Import Options.
   4. The selected page/s should be able to be inserted to the artboard with all links and fonts embedded.

9. Doesn't Copy to new artboard NOR all artboards

   Doesn't work consistently when i try to copy and paste from one art board to another artboard. I need the shapes to be in the exact same spot on the other artboard, and not eyeball it.

   Same thing when copying to all artboards. Sometimes it just pastes off in the distance somewhere...NOT on an artboard.

10. Bleed settings are not saving with document

    Since I updated Illustrator, all of my print documents are not saving the bleed settings. Here is how to replicate the problem:

    1) I open an existing print document (.ai format) in Illustrator
    2) Go to File --> Document Setup. I have always had the bleed set to 0.125" (or 3.175 mm) for all borders (top, bottom, left, right), but now they all show zero (0).
    3) I change the bleed to 0.125" on all edges again, then click OK.
    4) I save the document, close the document, then re-open the document
    5) I go to File --> Document Setup, and all the bleed settings are showing zero (0) again.

    This is very frustrating because I want to export to printable PDF files but the bleed doesn't show unless I do these steps every single time. I have hundreds of files I work with. This was never a problem until the version prior to this one and this version.

    version 24.0.1 (64-bit)
    Windows 10

    Since I updated Illustrator, all of my print documents are not saving the bleed settings. Here is how to replicate the problem:

11. Keyboard arrow not working in reflect panel

    The down arrow works but the up arrow on the keyboard does not. Works fine in all other aspects using Illustrator, just the reflect panel is having issues.

12. Unticking "Use Artboards" when saving PDF does not work as expected

    Illustrator 24.0

    Expected result: A PDF file containing a single page of all the artwork in the document. Artboards should be completely ignored. Page size, cropbox, artbox, trimbox and bleedbox should all be equivalent to the total size of all the artwork in the document.

    Actual result: PDF contains one page for each artboard, seemingly identical to what happens when "Use Artboards" is ticked.

13. Move objects always moves downwards in y direction, behaves fine in x

    Selecting an object and hitting ENTER brings up the 'Move' dialog and, for a while now, negative values moved things up and positive values moved things down the y axis. Fair enough, we all got used to it. As of today, things behave differently and everything is always moved up, unless I adjust the angle in the two entry fields below. Please see attached GIF.

14. Using 'Paste in place' - it doesn't work as expected

    If I create 20 blank art boards the same size and then create artwork on one, containing a background rectangle and a logo rectangle in one corner and then I use the paste in place command by using cmd+C on the selected items on art board 1 (the background and logo rectangles) and then use cmd+SHFT+V on each of those other art boards to accurately paste the items on each board it often either doesn't place, places incorrectly, can work out which art board is selected etc I have tried clicking on each of the art boards 'to activate' in advance of the paste or selecting the art boards through the art board panel to no avail... Please could you fix? (Also, it's a bit silly not being able to upload an .ai or .zip file here isn't it?)

    Steps Taken
    Launched Illustrator tried to open a file, Illustrator hangs and won't recover. Had to force quit illustrator. See attached movies.

    Expected result:
    Open or create a new file

    Actual result:
    Nothing; Ilustrator just hangs and has to be force quit.

    Additional steps taken;
    Restarted my laptop and ran fsck via single user mode
    Cleared all caches for illustrator and reset preferences.
    Restarted my laptop again.
    No change in how illustrator works.

    See attached movies showing both workflows not working.

    Reverting to V22 to get my work done.

16. Artboard border obstructs topmost and leftmost rows of pixels at 100% zoom

    In AI CC 2018 and 2019, on Windows 10 Home 64 bit, the black border of artboards overlaps the top row and left column of pixels in the image when zoomed to 100%. (For 2019, Pixel Preview must be on to properly see this because of https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/35736118-100-view-is-not-100-for-pixels-in-cc2019)

    The attached screenshot shows a 16x11px artboard zoomed way in on the left, and at 100% on the right, plus an 8x version I added so it can be seen better. Clearly part of the white outline is obstructed by the the black border of the artboard. Not good!

    So, basically, it's impossible to preview the full graphic at 100% pixel size. This is a big problem if you're say designing 16x16px icons where 31 pixels or a good 12% of the image is obstructed.

17. Artboard resizing bug

    Artboard bug causes a wrong or erraticaly behavior. Just trying to change the artboard height and when I click [ok] and check it again, the value remains the same. Please, check the movie.
    This time I have it on video, but this issue remains until the first CC version, maybe more.

18. The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]

    This issue happens with older templates. When I open older files, it gives this message: The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]. I have a gotten this message in 2017 and Adobe step up to fix the issue, but the previous update and this one still has the issue. I can open these in previous versions of Illustrator. It's really a pain to fix the file as I have to save in Illustrator 8 and then reimport the text as this conversion converts the type to curves. Now to make matters worse if I save the file back to version 8 the new Illustrator wont open it. so I now need a previous version of Illustrator just to save back to Illustrator 8. I attached a simple file for you to look at that gives this issue.

19. Artwork moves with Artboard even with layers locked.

    Not sure if this has already been addressed. I just became aware of this site. I am using CC 2018, on my Mac running 10.13.3. Usually if I lock the layers I can move the artboard independently, not anymore.
