1. Pdf open in AI different than Adobe Acrobat Reader

   Sometimes, when I open a pdf in adobe acrobat reader, everything is ok. Image is aligned correctly.
   But, when i open same pdf in Adobe Illustrator, the image is not correctly placed in Artwork bounds.
   - Work around to solve this: Object – Artboards – Fit to Artwork Bounds
   Why is it always shown correctly in Adobe Acrobat reader, but not in Adobe Illustrator.

2. Fehler bei Dateisicherung auf Netzlaufwerk

   mit Adobe Illustrator 2020 konnt ich ältere Dateien nicht richtig im Netzlaufwerk speichern. Es hat ständig eine tmp. Datei erstellt und die Originaldatei hat sich nicht geändert.

   Ältere Dateien konnte ich mit Illustrator 2019 auf dem Netzlaufwerk bearbeiten und speichern ohne Probleme.

3. Saving always creates a .tmp file, can't see preview of the file and cannot import AI file to After Effects

   as title says, my Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1) always creates a .tmp file whenever i save. I cant see a preview of the file when viewed on Finder. Lastly, I can't import the files i created using AI 2020 to After Effects - it only shows a blank artboard.

   Files are saved with Create PDF compatible File ticked.

   I have also tried resetting the Adobe PDF joboption settings.

   So right now I have 2 AI's installed just so i can continue working with my files.

   How to stop .tmp$$$ when export .png File from Avast Anti-virus

   The cause of this annoying problem came from the ransomware shield function from Avast. This is an easy method to solve this problem.

   1. Go to Avast Antivirus user interface.
   2. Select the protection tab.
   3. Select ransomware shied.
   4. Protected folder by Avast Ransomware shield will appear.
   5. Click the checkbox of the protected file location that you choose to export which shown for protection.(C:\USER\...\Pictures etc.)
   6. When you select, the message of the selected folder and "Stop Protection" button will appear.
   7. Click stop protection.

4. jpeg書き出しが出来ない

   ファイル>書き出し>書き出し形式で、jpeg書き出しを解像度300ppiで行おうとすると、その解像度では……と表示され書き出しが出来ない（150以下は書き出しが出来る）。

   Embed a grayscale image in an RGB document.
   Save as PDF with the Default options.
   The image becomes transparent.

6. Cannot Export Print Quality PNG from Illustrator 2021 Mac OS Catalina

   Every time I try to export my large print quality files from Illustrator as .png, I get an error message. The Operation Cannot Complete Because of an Unknown Error [!now] I am trying to maintain the 300dpi quality because this is how my printer accepts files. (As .png.) My Illustrator file is 10000 x 10000 pixels at 300 dpi. I have tried it as 150 dpi and all of the export settings and always get the error message. I see on your forums that this has been going on for many years and that I'm not the only designer to experience this issue. Can you please help?

7. Syncing to Drop Box

   I am now having issues saving my illustrator files. When I try there is a notice that says "unknown error occurred."

   I was told by customer service that Creative Suite now has issues with Drop Box and we have to save our files to "downloads".

   This needs to be rectified. There has never been an issue with saving to my Drop Box before. Does Adobe plan to fixing issues?

   Adobe and Drop Box need to figure out why this is happening.
   Losing hours because can no longer save/duplicate.

8. Illustrator strips out XMP metadata when exporting PNGs

   From CS1 until CC2017 when exporting PNGs the XMP metadata was preserved; Adobe BROKE this in CC2018/2019/2020! It works for all other file formats. We have production customers that rely on the XMP metadata matching between the Illustrator file and the exported PNG. FIX IT! Photoshop fixed this bug in their most recent release - why are you behind?

9. Downsampling not working properly with Extra large artboards

   When saving into a PDF file larger than 225.5417" it uses the new extra large artboard feature (since version 24.2). This applies a scaling factor of 10 so that the file can be viewed properly in Acrobat.

   The issue is that if you downsample your images it doesn't take into account the scaling factor. This means for a 1000" document, if I want to downsample to 300 dpi/in, I will need 300 000 dpi. But, the downsampling tools views the document as being 100" instead, and I end up with 30 000 dpi. So the end result is a 30dpi/in image.

   When saving into a PDF file larger than 225.5417" it uses the new extra large artboard feature (since version 24.2). This applies a scaling factor of 10 so that the file can be viewed properly in Acrobat.

10. Preview Icon not Showing on MacOS

    macOS Big Sur 11.1
    Illustrator (2021) - 25.1

    Steps and Expectations
    1) Save work as most recent version of native AI file with PDF Compatibility On.
    2) Expected file would have a preview icon of artwork found on desktop.
    Icon Preview is on (always) for all folders and root users.
    3) File saved with standard Ai icon, and no icon preview.

    Sample image shows Ai file and what Ai icon should look like as per the JPEG file.

11. When a AI file is opened and the fill color of some entities is changed, Save command is not available

    On Several Files, I open the file, change five entities simultaneously to have a different fill color, the "SAVE" command under File is not enabled and the filename does not show the asterisks.

    Adobe Creative Cloud
    Adobe Illustrator 25.1 (64 Bit)

    Steps:
    1. Open File
    2. Select 5 entities
    3. Click on Fill Icon
    4. Select new color for fill
    5. Color is applied to the entities
    6. Go to save file
    7. SAVE command under FILE is not enabled.

    Expected Result:
    File should be marked as modified and allow me to save

    Actual Result:
    File is not marked as modified.

12. illustrator and PS is not sync with each other

    When I tried to create a document and I have included an EPS file in photoshop. and after that, I modified the eps file it's not syncing with photoshop. it's asking for saving as in other locations.

13. Filename field no longer first in focus when saving

    Mac OS 11.2.2
    Illustrator 25.2

    This actually affects Pshop as well I've noticed. Used to be when I save a file (typically done from the keyboard) the save dialog appears I can start typing the filename I want to save, and the field is already in focus and placeholder text selected. Now I need to leave the keyboard to click into the field or tab several times to get the field in focus. More of an inconvenience than it sounds to be but my workflow is dependent on timeliness and leaving the keyboard this much adds up, especially when I've been used to this feature for 24 years.

14. SVG export

    Export Artboards as SVGs doesn't seem to work in the latest update (25.2.1). I often export svgs and pngs together from artboards and have never had a problem until this morning when using the updated app. It exports the pngs fine but doesn't export the svgs at all. I reverted my Illustrator back to 25.2 version and it works fine. I have a computer with windows 10 and have not experienced issues with this feature before.

15. Text alignment of text on path changes in SVG on export, but not in other file types

    Adobe Illustrator 25.0.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.1, MacBook Pro 2016

    I've exported the same graph multiple times - as jpeg, png and svg. In the svg version, some text looses it's alignment - can't send that to my client!

16. Deleting Files V25.0.1 and V25.1

    When saving, files will randomly be deleted, with and without error messages. There is no way to tell when this is going to happen, and the file is having to be recreated from scratch.

17. I can't save my AI document on my desktop - Illustrator V.25 (italian language)

    Hi, I need your Help. I cannot save my document on my desktop. Everytime I try to save a document, a pop up window appears. I attach a scrrenshot of that message. I tried to use command Save, Save as, Save as previuos version, Export in svg, eps ... I tried everything I can, but the message is always the same I attached. I can only save a Cloud Document, but this is no good for me. Can you help me?

18. Illustrator could only partially read this file

    When I load the first attached file in 24.0.1 (with Windows 10) it loads OK and I can edit it. When I save it and try to reload it in 24.0.1 it says Illustrator could only partially read this file. That's awful when Illustrator cannot read a file it has just saved.

    The layers (and sublayers) under ALL > WATERWAYS > A-B beginning with A have all gone missing when it reads in what it can. Other parts may be missing too.

    It works fine in 23.1. and I have had to revert to using that.

    I have lost a day's work as I kept saving my work in 24.0.1 at regular intervals but the following day none could be read back in and I had to revert to the previous day's backup which was saved in 23.1

    The first file attached (y191125-1042 EAW 95) is one which loads OK into 24.0.1 and the second (x191130-2214 EAW 95) is the result when the first file is saved in 24.0.1 and which will not load back in.

    Note the files are not attached as I don't want them to be public. I will provide them on request.

    When I load the first attached file in 24.0.1 (with Windows 10) it loads OK and I can edit it. When I save it and try to reload it in 24.0.1 it says Illustrator could only partially read this file. That's awful when Illustrator cannot read a file it has just saved.

20. SVGs opened in Illustrator don't include blend modes

    I created an SVG in Illustrator that has some layers using the blend mode "overlay". I export out the SVG and it looks perfect. If I open that SVG in Illustrator it turns the blend modes into "normal" instead of "overlay".
