Overheating?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Fan goes into overdrive each time I open any of the newly updated Adobe Aps (example Illustrator 25.0.1) Going back to previous versions fixes the issue.

"Hairline," faint border around PNG exports
Whenever I export anything as a PNG in Illustrator with a transparent background, the PNG result shows up with a strange faint border around it. I've tried a multitude of "solutions" and nothing has worked, leading me to believe that this is a bug.
I'm working on a macOS Catalina 10.15.4, and on the most recent version of illustrator (24.1). My processor is 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, and graphics—Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB.
(The image I have provided is the exported PNG image of that shape, and I've overlapped it ontop of the pre-export to show the…
6 votesThis is a GPU bug. If you toggle the rendering mode with View > View using CPU — no border will get rendered, the PNG actually does not have it. The problem is known though.

Graphics Errors in Big Sur
I have a brand new Mac Mini 2020, just released. I have been having weird glitches with graphics rendering, and I found this post
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/40978006-macos-big-sur-rendering-bugLooks like it has been closed for commenting, and blame on Beta. However, I still have the issue. I am on Big Sur 11.0.1 on a brand new machine running AI 2021
I took advice and disable GPU Performance, and it seems to be working now.
Just a heads up

GPU Performance is deeply broken - UI overlay refresh issue
Within about 20-30 min of starting illustrator with GPU Performance enabled, everything goes haywire.
It seems to be an issue with UI overlays such as art board bounding boxes and shape paths/points. As you pan about or adjust a shape, it seems that old overlays are not disposed and new overlays are just drawn on top resulting in layers and layers of overlays. The overlays are cleared if you zoom but when you start to pan or manipulate shapes again, the overlays continue to populate on screen.
Images attached should illustrate the issue better then I can describe it. What…

lagscreen trail when I move the shapes around or when I use the quick hand tool
I think my Illustrator 25.0 has an issue with GPU rendering as it randomly starts leaving that "rendering" trace when I move something or when I use the quick hand tool and it only works fine if I close and reopen the document. I am using a Lenovo Yoga and Windows 10. Attached below is a screenshot of the error.

Animated zoom malfunction
Hi guys,
I am using a Windows 10 rig, fully patched inkl. all drivers and the latest Adobe product versions. Here's the spec of my rig:
- Core i7 4700K
- 32 GB RAM
- Geforce GTX 770 2 GB GDDR
- SSD Disk
My issue is a malfunction of animated zoom. Normally I am using STRG + SPACEBAR and my mouse to zoom in and out. In small Ai projects with a small amount of layers it works fine.
But, if I illustrate a car, with hundreds of layers at a special moment the animated zoom doesn't work anymore. If I use STRG…
1 voteAnimated zoom works only in GPU rendering mode and won’t work in specialized modes like Pixel or Overprint Preview — they still rely on CPU calculations.

Refresh problems in Trim View - Illustrator 24.0
I'm not sure this is exclusive to GPU, but in Trim View sometimes when working with content, it stops refreshing properly and causing anomalies on screen
14 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.3.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Separations preview imac 5k very slow
There is some problem with Overprint preview turned on, everything becomes verry laggy. I'm on iMac 2019 27" with 40gb of RAM, SSD drive, no plugins. No matter which document is opened, the problem is same - very slow illustrator movement.
Only sollution is to run Illustrator in Low Resolution mode, then the problem does not exist.

Views not updating, tabs not updating.
Views will simply stop updating in Illustrator. Outline view shows geometry that does not display in GPU preview mode.
Similarly, when changing from document tab to tab, the window will "freeze" on one document and refuse to show the newly-selected document.
None of this is remotely acceptable. I pay for and use the Adobe Suite as a professional tool, and I can't have daily failures. Trust in your products is swiftly eroding.
Please advise a quick and permanent fix for these issues.

"show images in outline mode" doesn't work (Document Setup)
Image doesn't show when option is on. It used to a while ago...
3 votesThis option only works when you are viewing your documents as outline using CPU mode only, not GPU. While this is a known problem, voting for this issue is important for the team to estimate the importance of this limitation.

Wrong rendering of mesh shades in Illustrator 2020
When opening an Illu 2019 File in Illu 2020 I get wrong rendering results. We tried to reproduce the problem on several machines and it happens ewerywhere.
We are a production company with prepress repro team. Since we dont know, when the problem can occur, we are not able to use 2020 all the time.
Please find attached a sample illustrator file and screenshots from Illustrator 2019 and 2020.
I hope, you can find the bug and update the Illustrator 2020.
Stay safe,
Gregor

Glitchy screen when opening a new document
Whenever I open a new document on illustrator, or open some existing documents, the whole screen turns red and when I try to zoom into the art-board or the document in general, it begins to glitch and white rectangles appear. I'm unable to select or move around any artwork.

Live paint paths not updating
Since update 24.2, amending in a path will intermittently not update with live paint. The path will have moved, but the art will visually remain as it was. This especially happens with the curvature tool, and less often (but sometimes) with the pen tool.
I have real-time drawing turned on, as I did in my previous version.1 vote
