  2. Pattern fill pixelation

Zooming into an object filled with a pattern shows raster pixelation in the pattern. If you select the object and move it slightly or change its view, then the pattern is updated and looks vectored. This is annoying. I just want it to update and look clean when I am using the zoom tool.

  3. Artifacts and unable to render Mask

    Good day.

I'm having troubles rendering an Opacity Mask. I attach the screenshots of the differences. When I change to CPU Preview, the file renders normally but when I change to GPU preview it shows as the image attached. The problem also affects some blending modes like Color Burn which do not render correctly neither in GPU or CPU Preview.

    My system is as follows:

    -Asus B550M-A
    -Ryzen 5 5600x
    -32gb Corsair Vengeance DD4 3600MHz RAM
    -Sapphire AMD RX 6700XT 16GB

    Illustrator Version 28.2 (64 bits)

  4. rulers display bug

I can't exactly say, which update introduced that bug, but Illustrator 2022 did not have it: sometimes (often when multiple documents are opened) the rulers go wild. When scrolling through the document, multiple copies of the rulers cover the whole screen and hide the artwork. We have this issue on both of our machines (iMac an Mac mini running on Ventura)

  5. Previewing Mid-High Complexity files incredible Sluggish - Losing time and money

So this has become tottally unnaceptable adobe.
For the price we pay monthly, it's unnaceptable that the engine used for rendering is so primitive in comparison with one used on other (more cheaper) software such as Affinity Designer.

This should be one of the features you should be focusing more.

In this thread i mentioned that since some versions of ILLUSTRATOR, the same designs i had years ago, started working more and more sluggish when previewing. And no matter the HW upgrades, it's the same. (i prefer how i worked on these 3-4 years ago)

  6. GPU performance issues on Mac mini with second display attached

I am having problems with GPU performance on my Mac mini (Apple M2, 16GB) with two displays attached.

For example, when I move an object by using the arrow keys in quick succession, the artwork often does not refresh correctly. If I wait a while (sometimes about half a second) or press any key (e.g. the space bar), the artwork will update.

Disconnecting the second display, resolves the problem. Also using the CPU to preview solves it.

After further investigation, I found that it was not just the second monitor that was causing the Illustrator preview to stutter: I am…

  7. Highlighting text leads to disappearing artboards

This tends to only happen when I have minimized the screen to be half of my desktop size. Whenever I highlight text in Illustrator the artboard disappears and it only comes back when I've selected the selection tool and click in the work space.

  9. Illustrator Crashes When Trying To View Using CPU or Pixel Preview (All Versions)

Been happening for quite some time now. When trying to view a pixel preview of my document it will hang then crash. Same exact thing happens if I try to "view using CPU". Also have been getting a weird "hairline" pink line around non-stroked objects.

Attached pictures of the pink outline around the gray in the one picture and another around the white and the gray. It seems to change as I zoom in and out which makes me think it's a rendering/driver bug. I think this issue and the original crashing when trying to select CPU or Pixel Preview…

  10. Typo causes harsh generative AI warning

My prompt for generative AI was "abscract [sic] background with 4 quotations". Illustrator threw a red warning: "One or more of your terms violate guidelines". I couldn't capture the screen because the warning disappeared quickly. When I corrected the spelling to "abstract" it generated results without a warning. Seems the warning should be a little different for this.

  15. Illustrator not using GPU preview on MacBook Pro M1 Max

I bought a new MacBook Pro M1 Max 16" 2021 I have the latest version of Illustrator installed. But when I work with a project where I have a bitmap image illustrator automatically switches to CPU preview and everything crashes.

When I want to click up in the menu View > View using GPU - I can't it's greyed out. Cmd + E shortcut doesn't work either

I can't work with the program like that. Please do something about it. For it is completely crazy. And you don't solve it and yet it limits the work quite a lot. Several…

  16. Illustrator suddenly switching to CPU preview, GPU preview greyed out

My little research has shown that the preview mode changes when zooming if the cmyk document contains cmyk images. In a cmyk document with rgb images or an rgb document with rgb/cmyk images, there is no gpu to cpu preview switching when zooming. To reproduce the bug, the document must include multiple images in order to impact performance during scaling. My system: i5 8400, 32 Gb, GTX1650 with latest Studio Driver installed, Asus PA329C, windows 11 Build 22621.1265, Illustrator 27.3.1 Here's what it looks like on my system.

  17. The path line is not aligned to the actual shape. Impossible to draw a precise shapes that could then be merged.

That problem was already mentioned 3 or 4 years ago. I'm still having problems with it. when I draw line it is not aligned to the acutal shape. it gets offset from the fill for at least 2-3px. I'm having project where this is driving me crazy. I tried turning GPU off as some people on interned mentioned but when I do that illustrator is jut too slow which makes it impossible to work with. Im running latest illustrator on my MacBook Pro 2019 Monterey 12.4 freshly cleaned. This should not be happening. please do seething about it.
