Selecting hidden guides by mistake
This is difficult to explain, so I'll just go through some steps:
Create some horizontal guides. Make sure they aren't locked.
Now hide guides, you don't want to be bothered with them while you're working on some objects in a different column.
Add some circles or something. They need to overlap where you drew the guides originally.
Drag select over your circles and distribute them on center.It took me a while to figure this one out. searching for it was no help.

illustrator jagged line
line and text look jagged and I tried all the settings change by researching in the internet, but nothing fixed it. this problem is persisting for the last two days.

AI can't open file
Using Windows 7 professional. Have AI 2015. Problem recently started occuring. I would save a file then go back in and try to open it and a box shows up saying it can't be opened. Would try to open another file and the screen would turn white with a time wheel. It would say AI has to close. Windows would contact if a solution was available. No solution!

Rearrange All Artboards does not move artwork with it when spacing is adjusted
OS X / Adobe CC 2018 (OS X is where this document ran into this issue, but if it helps troubleshoot, it is being passed back and forth between a Windows 10 machine).
I have a document with multiple artboards. I needed to increase the spacing between them. I went to Rearrange All Artboards where "Move Art with Artboard" was already selected from multiple previous re-arrangings. I changed the spacing from 20px to 60px.
I expected the artboards to have the new spacing, with art in the same location.

When placing a linked file, it only shows the first artboard no matter which one I select.

Illustrator Saving Error with 2 art boards
We were building a Billoard with extension. Art saved fine with only one artboard. We created a second artboard for the extension, then saved the file , Illustrator error states: the Dimensions of this page are out of range. Total size of both art boards 16.4611 in High x 49.9167 w. Got to have this fixed new Illustrator was updated yesterday.

File Error When Opening
I have been having these messages pop up for the past 2 months.
When I try to open a file the message pops up, when you hit OK it opens the file but with missing elements. I then exit out of the file and re open it. Sometimes this solves the problem and other times I have to re open that file 3 other times.

The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]
This issue happens with older templates. When I open older files, it gives this message: The Operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [x!fd]. I have a gotten this message in 2017 and Adobe step up to fix the issue, but the previous update and this one still has the issue. I can open these in previous versions of Illustrator. It's really a pain to fix the file as I have to save in Illustrator 8 and then reimport the text as this conversion converts the type to curves. Now to make matters worse if I save the file…

Will deselect anything that is not visible
Since the last update if you have a long file and want to select a big chink of it everything has to be visible while selecting. Otherwise, if I start dragging from the middle let's say and have to scroll until I get till the end of the document/artboard, everything that went off screen get deselected and I'm only left with the last chunk of content that is visible. Slows down a lot working on web designs when you have to move a big chunk of content around because you've changed something before it.

Artwork moves with Artboard even with layers locked.
Not sure if this has already been addressed. I just became aware of this site. I am using CC 2018, on my Mac running 10.13.3. Usually if I lock the layers I can move the artboard independently, not anymore.

Artboard sequence
Converting Objects to artboards does not match layers sequences.

Incorrect file sizes
Importing work into After Effects adds 6 pixels to the file size — very generous. This software keeps on giving.

Align to Artboard: X and Y position not established within the active artboard
Illustrator CC 22.0.1
Align to Artboard: X and Y position not established within the active artboard but retains the global X and Y position.
When selecting and copying the X position of vertex (A) on active artboard (A), then activating another artboard (B) and selecting vertex (B). When pasting the X position for vertex (A) from artboard (A) to vertex (B) on artboard (B) it pastes the global X position. The previous version retained the local artboard X position when align to artboard was activated. Which is very helpful in maintaining consistency between artboards.
1 voteThis happens most probably because the rulers mode set differently.
You can toggle it with View > Rulers > Change To Global/Artboard Rulers command.

Artboard edge shows behind an object of the same size as the artboard
- CC 22.0.1 (32-bit)
- I'm creating a favicon, I started out at 164 px by 164 px and used Shift + Alt to resize it to 50 px by 50 px. Then I changed the size of the Artboard to 50 px by 50 px.
- I expected everything to line up and look right.
- A small white edge of the Artboard is visible on the right side of the drawing
