1. Can't save .ai file, Illustrator crashes

   When I try to save my .ai file, I get the error: "Illustrator is unable to save this document due to some unexpected errors." When I try to save a second time after this message, Illustrator crashes.
   I've tried all the fixes in this bug and none of them work: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/38961718-ai-2020-v-24-unknown-error-while-saving

2. Character styles do not allow for optical alignments and kerning

   Paragraph style applied to text area does not allow for optical margin alignment.

   Not sure why this is happening but one paragraph style will let me kern punctuation outside of the box, and then another one will not. Instead, the character styles flicker around as I kern and will not change.

   Converting the paragraph style to another one fixes this issue - but reappears when I apply the intended style.

   Mac OSX Catalina.

3. Missing Text on Menus?

   I'm working on a 21.5 inch late 2015 image, 2.8 with 8GB using Mojave. I'm not quite sure what steps are happening and if there is a hardware issue on my side, but when I use Illustrator, there is an intermittent bug that seems to happen. Here's how it goes:

   Using Illustrator, usually the pen tool.
   The spinning beach ball pops up.
   The screen freezes for a few seconds.
   When it pops back into play, none of the menus have text. Literally, NONE, even those outside of Illustrator (Chrome, the Apple drop downs to restart/shut down)

   Is it just destroying my RAM or is it a bug that's suddenly emerged?

4. in Version 24.02 when trying to export a single PDF with all art boards AI will only export single pages, why?

   I updated to 24.02 this morning and now I am unable to save PDF files as multi-page documents. No matter what setting I select AI will only export whatever artboard I am currently working on at the time of export. This was not an issue for me yesterday. So frustrated.

5. Cannot save document when title is blank

   In version 24.0.2 when creating a document with no title you are unable to save.

6. Updated UI has some issues - Tired of Updating - Tired of Bugs

   Happy that Adobe continues to try to update the products. That being said I'm a little worn. I constantly get notifications from Adobe Creative Cloud App about updates and there seems to be some issues. Still working out of a previous version of InDesign for numerous reasons. Weirdly found all of my Creative Cloud docs (of which there's not too many luckily) in the trash can this AM. I was able to recover a heart skip and waste of time later. Additionally the Illustrator Update... Well... Just looks sloppy. Help me, help you... And give us a good products with notable and necessary updates.

8. Nothing works under the file tab

   When I click on any of the options under the file tab absolutely nothing happens. Cant save, place, export, create new, etc. It seems like everything else is working perfectly. I can hear my computer whirl when I click on things like it’s working and registering, but when I click on anything under file I hear nothing, like it’s not registering that I’m trying to save. I really need to export these files for a project by next week so this is urgent!!

9. A new artboard created in a template with two artboards gets 'Artboard 2' name instead of 'Artboard 3'

   My default document I use to begin projects has two artboards. If I add a third artboard, it will be named "Artboard 2" and I have to go into the settings and rename it "Artboard 3" in order to print properly.

10. Illustrator 2020 on 4K monitor

    Has Illustrator been designed to work on 4K monitors with AMD GPUs? Because my experience is that it isn't; the performance is horrific. Same goes for InDesign and Bridge. Will this ever be addressed?

    Mac Pro 5,1; 10.15.3; 48Gb RAM; 12 core; M.2 drive; Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT GPU.

11. `let` declarations not supported in .jsx files

    Running this script:

     let foo = "Foo";
     const bar = "Bar";
     alert(foo + bar);

    produces the following error:

     Error 25: Expected: ;.
     Line: 1
     -> let foo = "Foo";

    However, replacing let with const works fine. According to this page (https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/legacy-and-extend-script-engine.html), ES6 language features are ostensibly supported, but only var and const bindings seem to work.

12. Extrude not working as expected in AI 2020

    The extrude and bevel tool, is not working at all, compared to prior versions. Shading is not working, the full extrusion only works when adding perspective degrees to the bevel... It's all a broken mess, and the rotation tool is not working either. Rotating a square chops off a corners, puts it inside a mask, and needs to be pulled out of the layer to get the desired outcome.

13. artboard/canvas will not center; confined to top left corner

    Artboard snapping to top left corner of window- zoomed at 67%;
    snapped to right of window at 100%

    Following your post instructions ....

    1. On Windows 10 latest; Adobe Illustrator latest (on cloud) -
    2. Believe I was scrolling the canvas - may have zoomed out
    3. Expect canvas to reduce and stay centered
    4. Canvas snapped to top left and when I zoomed back to 100 % it snapped initially to top right

    Please fix (it has happened a few times) - thank you

15. ショートカットキーが反応しなくなる

    Adobe XDと同時に起動し、アプリケーションの切り替えを行っているとillustratorのショートカットキーがすべて反応しなくなることがあります。
    illustratorの再起動でショートカットキーは使用可能になりますが、再度XDとの切り替えを行うと同様の症状が発生します。

16. CC 2020 AI and InDesign Crashing and Freezing

    Having major issues with both Illustrator and InDesign 2020.

    For Illustrator, if I double click an AI file in a finder window it crashes 100% of the time on launch, which in turn deletes all recent docs from AI's start up menu. Things are a bit more stable when launching the app and then opening a file, but still seems to easily crash when doing a simple task such as electing the font dropdown menu (not even selecting a font).

    InDesign is more troublesome. The program will frequently freeze even after opening a document that has a link that has been updated. These instances are in no way in regard to file size or complexity, but with simply a blank spread with a simple AI page file linked.

    I use both of these programs HUGELY in my business, and this is becoming very frustrating. I am using a MacBook Pro 2019, with Catalina 10.15.1 OS. The machine is about as suped up as it can be, so there is no reason I can find to have these issues. I routinely maintenance, repair permissions, and clear caches as well.

    Please help!

17. DXF files on a Mac interpreted wrongly

    I often have to import DXF drawing files of model glider plans. For a few years now, over several versions of Illustrator, I noticed that I am missing lines and solved the problem by selecting the missing and finding similar stroke weights, hoping it would find them all.

    Today I had a discussion over Skype with a friend who runs Illustrator on a PC on which the plan files view perfectly correctly, so there appears to be a problem in the Mac Illustrator version. I have attached a pdf file showing the difference in display

19. update deleted new versions of files

    I updated Illustrator to version 24.1.1 3 days ago. I've opened some files to discover that the most recent changes I made to them have been deleted and the version of the files are about a week old. I know I saved these files with new changes but those changes are no longer there. Is it possible to fix this bug and restore the previous files from before the update? I don't know what in the update triggered deleting these new changes.
