1. Illustrator Start UP

   When I am opening an .ai file, it takes me to the start menu, and I can only open one .ai file at a time, when double clicking. I am running 23.0.3

2. Importing a page from a multi-page PDF replaces the already imported one

   Hi!

   Ever since Illustrator 23 when opening a PDF with multiple pages with a document already open, the PDF opens into that open document and changes the artboard. At the same time it also opens a new empty document with the name of the PDF. It does not matter if I use open from the menu or if I use drag and drop... When no other file is open it behaves like it should and opens the PDF correctly.

   Please provide a solution...

3. Weird font rendering problem

   I have a client-provided font (IND-Hoboken Sans) that is rendering W (capital w) strangely. The apex should be square/flat, but Adobe apps (I used Illustrator as my test, but I've seen the same problem in Photoshop as well) render the 1st & 3rd apex on an angle (even more bizarrely, different angles). Other applications (Font Book, TextEdit, MS Word, Keynote) render the character square as expected.

   Most bizarrely, Acrobat does NOT have this problem & renders the character as the system does (ie. as expected). As a test, I created an Illustrator file with the same word as both live text and as outlines. Illustrator renders them both the same, but when I open either the AI file or a PDF version in Acrobat, the live text looks correct & the outlines are wrong.

4. Isolate Selected Groups Does Not Work in CC 2019

   Spent 4 days following a tutorial thinking I was losing my mind.
   Then, it dawned on me I downloaded CC 2019 four days ago.
   Downloaded CC2017 and the operation works as advertised.
   Used especially for cartooning…
   Goes like this:
   1. Select all inked artwork>Object>Expand Appearances>Merge.
   Create and color a rectangle covering artwork.
   Select All>Merge
   Then>>>>>Right Click<<<< and click "Select Isolate Selected Groups”
   This will put editable color with all closed line work.

   The enclosed pic is where things go wrong in 2019
   Once Isolate Selected groups is clicked you should be able to delete the outside green in isolation mode and edit any enclosed area.

   You should get something that looks like the second pic.

   Works fine in 2017.

5. Completely wrong displayed information

   Illustrator is displaying offset clipping masks, will Not display Objects properly or at all as if they are entirely transparent with every setting I can find that says it shouldn't be.

6. Delayed mouse movements when rulers are on

   I have just switched from a PC to a Macbook Pro 15.
   I never experienced any issues on my PC in the last 2 years of work, but since I started to work on the Macbook I noticed that the my mouse/trackpad movements were being delayed (feeling sluggish) when I had rulers on. I later noticed that this issue is present throughout Photoshop and InDesign as well.

   I tried community recommended fixes such as turning off dictation and disabling "Scale Cursor Proportionally", and none of it has worked.

   While I can have smooth mouse movements with rulers off, scrolling/navigating through the canvas is ALWAYS literally laggy; looks as if frames per second drop to around 15.

   It's really frustrating experiencing such issues on a more powerful device than what I previously had. Please help.

8. Illustrator 2019 23.0.4 suffering from (memory) problems

   Illustrator is very unstable. Sometimes it starts with all menus grayed out - need to force quit. It complains about memory when working on very simple documents. Hangs the complete Mac - needs hard restart.
   Lots of issues, not always reproductable, without error messages - seems quite fundamental.

9. Illustrator Not Responding

   My illustrator program says that it is not responding every time I save. It eventually works but takes 10 or so minutes to save each time. Which is a huge draw back because if I like to save a lot to ensure the safety of my files it impacts my performance by slowing me down.

   I am working off of a server but I don't think that would effect my save proformance.

   I've checked the Nvidia pannel and set my GTX graphics card as default just in case as well.

   I have a cpu and memory meter that aren't showing that i'm pushing my device to hard. Mainly staying arround 50% Utilization

   I've got a surface book 2
   with 16 GB RAM
   a GTX 1060 with 6GB of GDDR5
   and a 8th Gen i7 Processor

10. Align to compound shape / key object bug (CC 23.0.1 / Win 7)

    While trying to distribute spacing using the Align palette, I've noticed a strange align bug which only appears to affect compound shapes when trying to align to a key object.

    Steps to recreate:
    1. Select two objects, one of which is a compound shape
    2. Make the compound shape the key object (click on it while selected)
    3. Set a distribute spacing distance in the Align palette, and click on the horizontal/vertical distribute spacing button.

    Result:
    The key object moves by the preset amount set and the second object get spaced from the key object by the same amount.

    Expected result:
    The key object should stay put and the 2nd object moves to the specified distance from the key object.

    Note:
    Expanding the compound shape using the pathfinder palette and repeating the steps above causes the key object/spacing to behave as it is expected to.

    The attached video demonstrates the expected behaviour first and then highlights the issue. The video also shows a second issue whereby when you choose a key object without the Align palette at the forefront, the distribute spacing text entry point is greyed out.

11. EPS Saving

    Whenever I try saving a file as an EPS one, it continuously keeps separating my art boards into their own files, when I need them to stay in one sole file (as it should). This has happened on my personal macbook and the one I use at work various times and is setting back print jobs. Can we go back to retaining files on one until specified to not?

12. illustrator brushtool NOT displaying brush stoke in realtime

    I'm using quadro 2000 + 24GB Ram + dual xeon x5650.
    But when i using brush tool, turn on GPU performance.
    illustrator brush tool NOT displaying brush stoke in real times when i drawing. It work when i turn off GPU performance.

13. Text entry error when naming Adobe CC library items

    First of all, great to see CC libraries getting some love with the addition of groups. I'd love to see further refinements, as I use CC libraries for all projects.

    One issue I'm having with V23.01 on a Mac (Mojave V10.14.3) is with naming CC library items I've just dragged into the Libraries panel. The behavior I'd expect to see would be for the new item's name field to get keyboard focus, allowing me to immediately type in the name of the item I'd just added.

    Currently, the item gets a default name (e.g. "Artwork 1," "Artwork 2," etc.). If I immediately double-click the newly dragged item to name it, the default name gets focus, and I'm able to start typing my new name. Unfortunately, after three characters or so, the characters I've typed delete, and the field loses focus, requiring me to double-click the field and re-type (which usually works the second time).

14. my shift, control, option and command keys are not working

    iMac v. 10.14.5 (18F132)
    (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
    Processor 3.8 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
    Illustrator 23.0.4

    I don't know exactly when it started, but I cannot use my shift, control, command, or option keys. They work perfectly fine in combinations like shift+w, shift+arrows or command+c, and so on. They work from my Wacom, but not from the keyboard. It seems like I have the same issue in Photoshop.

15. Can't drag a color swatch onto a gradient color stop

    I used to be able to drag a color swatch onto the color stops on the gradient slider, replacing the existing colors on the slider. Now, in Illustrator 2019, the vast majority of the time it only adds the color swatch as an additional stop instead of replacing it. So the gradient will go from 2 stops to 3 despite me only wanting to replace one of the 2 colors in it. I can just drag the extra stop off of it to work around this, but it’s just another little thing that slows me down.

17. Type size not working after scaling text with transform/scale

    After selecting a line of type with the selection tool, and then scaling it with right click, transform / scale / 'percentage' , I can then no longer assign different type sizes in pixels or points to the text using the text tool.

19. Mouse scrolling

    Mouse wheel scrolling is almost non-responsive.

    Whether I want to scroll up or down, or zoom using the alt key, the mousewheel is almost non-responsive. Only scrolling 1 or 2 frames for every 6-10 mouse wheel scrolls.

    Mouse wheel scroll works fine on Photoshop and Indesign. Only Illustrator presenting this issue

20. Workspace Bug

    Have a strange bug. Have Dual Cinema displays with all of my palettes on one monitor. Saved workspace for this configuration. If I click to toggle between fill/stroke it resets my workspace and moves all of my palettes over to my first monitor but only in the bottom right 1/4 of the screen. If i hit "x' to toggle between fill/stroke this doesn't happen.
