  1. Paragraph styles not properly justifying

    I'm using the latest updated version of CC on mac High Sierra 10.13.6

    When I just use the justify option in the paragraph window, the type will justify properly, but when I've tried to create a paragraph style, the type hangs outside of the text box, no matter what I do.

    Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this a bug issue? And if so, any workarounds? I'm working on a file that needs a lot of type, and Illustrator is preferred over InDesign (which I've never had a problem with).

  2. Whenever I use my Pen tool now, wherever I hold the tool, doesn't allow me to click at that spot, it will draw 1cm above/below my click.

  3. recent mojave update 10.14.3 causing odd illustrator behavior?

    1) osx 10.14.3
    2) basic illustrator usage
    3) ""
    4) basic commands not being fulfilled, eventual crash

    recently illustrator has stopped functioning correctly for me. i realized that within the last week i upgraded from mojave 10.14.2 to 10.14.3 and that illustrator has been malfunctioning for me around the same time as i updated. i've tried trashing prefs, uninstalling illustrator and reinstalling and then trashing prefs again after still not working, uninstalling entire adobe creative cloud and reinstalling, it still won't work. some of the odd behavior is reminiscent of issues pertaining to gpu ive read on the forums so…

  4. Stylus pen

    Illustrator Cc2019 crashes when using Lenovo Yoga Surface pen in a Touch mode.
    The surface pen is drawing in both Pen and Pencil tools but Illustrator crushes after a minute or two without an option of reporting.
    It takes 7/8 file openings to finish a tracing illustration.

  5. All toolbars gone - Illustrator CC 2019

    As soon as I open the Illustrator today, every toolbar was lost. Even if I click the workspace presets, it doesn't do anything. I already returned all the lost tool bars manually but when I opened Ai, they're gone again. Please fix this. Thank you.

  6. Error: Can't print the illustration - Just updated to 23.0.1 - Trying to print to HP DesignJet 1055CM Plotter

    Error: Can't print the illustration - Just updated to 23.0.1 - Trying to print to HP DesignJet 1055CM Plotter - I can print to a HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw just fine. If I don't get the Error then the program crashes.
    Using Windows 10 on 64-bit PC.

  7. Text entry error when naming Adobe CC library items

    First of all, great to see CC libraries getting some love with the addition of groups. I'd love to see further refinements, as I use CC libraries for all projects.

    One issue I'm having with V23.01 on a Mac (Mojave V10.14.3) is with naming CC library items I've just dragged into the Libraries panel. The behavior I'd expect to see would be for the new item's name field to get keyboard focus, allowing me to immediately type in the name of the item I'd just added.

    Currently, the item gets a default name (e.g. "Artwork 1," "Artwork 2," etc.). If…

  8. Select Tool does NOT select! Color swatches don't change item colors!!

    There's no idea. You guys are making every day more difficult every time you ***** up a new version. Us poor idiots that work every day with your programs are going crazy keeping up with the changes that don't work, the ideas that benefit some but not all and all the malfunctioning things you've managed to do with the old tools that worked just fine. You're making me hate this profession of graphic designer and you're making me loose money and time every day. Why don't you just fire your engineers and leave us alone?

  9. Continuous drag over locks or visibility in layer palette regularly fails when using Wacom

    I have experienced this problem on both macOS and Windows when using a Wacom tablet.
    1. Toggle visibility of multiple layers by click-dragging over the eye icons.
    2. Toggle the visibility of another layer by clicking on the eye icon.
    3. Occasionally the last click will be interpreted as being part of the drag gesture and the visibilty of multiple layers will be affected.
    4. Undo doesn't see step 1 and 2 as separate. So undoing gets you back to before step 1.

  10. Opening file with multiple envelopes crashes Illustrator CC2019 23.0.1

    Opening the file I included will crash CC2019 every time.

    Illustrator CC2018 opens the file without a problem.

    Expanding the envelopes will stop the crashing in CC2019.

    If you delete one of the two layers in the included file, there's only one envelope left and CC2019 opens it without a problem.

  11. Switching between files doesn't work properly - or at all

    See the attached video. I have two files open. The second file I opened does not display. When I click on the file tab I still have the previous file displayed. Regardless of which file is active, I can only edit one. I can't even see the other. They are two completely different projects - they do not look the same. You are only seeing one file in this video, despite which one I select. I have to quite and restart, losing any changes I may have in the one file I cannot see.

  12. Info palette moves to monitor Measure Tool is used

    The Info palette instantly jumps to the monitor that you use the Measure Tool on. If it's connected to all the other palettes on a secondary monitor, all of them instantly jump to the monitor where you are using the Measure Tool.

    Like most people, I have my palettes on a secondary monitor and my main monitor has my document. So every single time I use the Measure Tool, my palettes jump over to the main monitor.

    Please fix this so the Info palette stays where I put it when using the Measure Tool.

  15. Can't open files from Microsoft Outlook or any other outside source!

    Can't open a file by double clicking on it from an attachment in an email or from explorer or from my desktop etc! Only way round it is to do File > Open when Illustrator which is a reeeeeally slow way of working when you're dealing with multiple files! Pleeeeeeeeeeease fix this :)

  16. Legacy blur lost when pasting into a new document.

    An object with a legacy blur loses it's setting when copying and pasting into a new document. The blur is still listed in appearance, but there is no value and effectively no blur.

  17. Layer Hierarchy Glitch

    I've stumbled onto a glitch which breaks my layer heirarchy when copying and pasting. I've outlined it in greater detail in the following thread. I've also attached the file where this occurs.

    I've been able to reproduce these results when copying a layer which contains sub-layers with clipping masks. This problem persists even after the mask is removed, suggesting the layers remained glitched in some way after the fact. This is important because it means the glitch can potentially spread through your file as you work with no way of tracking it.

  18. Gradient tool issues

    1. Handles on on object's Gradient Annotator are difficult to adjust once a gradient has been dropped. Usually, handles simply don't respond. User needs to start from scratch and create a brand new gradient rather than make small adjustments to existing ones.

    2. Repeated but not consistent bug: adjusting one gradient causes changes to unrelated gradients on same document.

    3. Live preview of gradient tool is prohibitively slow, esp when gradient is anywhere near an existing Effect.

    FIX: Allow us to toggle the preview effect.

  19. There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object

    MAC OS High Sierra Version 10.13.6
    Processor 3.2Ghz Intel Core i5
    Memory 8GB
    Graphics AMD Redeon R9 M380 2048MB

    Illustrator is CC 2019 23.0.1

    When trying to work on an image, my colleague is constantly getting the above message and the application hangs.

  20. Tools not snapping or showing blue line path or anchor points

    The Pen and Direct Tool are not snapping or showing the blue line path when drawing with the tools (Pen tool, Curvature tool, Direct Selection Tool) I have googled forums to see what the issue and it seems to be something that happens when the software is updated every so often or something like that, and shortly before I encountered this issue about 10 minutes ago my software got an update... please fix this :(
