Illustrator 2019 Crashes on startup
I've upgraded to the latest Illustrator (2019), but it crashes on startup. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but it still crashes. I've re-installed it with fresh preferences, e.g. not importing settings from the previous version and it still will not startup. The same thing is also happening to InCopy.??
Luckily I did not remove the previous version.
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it??
I'm running a MacPro (Late 2013), 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5, 32GB RAM, AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB, with macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

Why is it months after the first reports and this BUG still not fixed by Adobe?
Of course, along with at least fifty other among the various apps...
Really pathetic disdain for end users.. -

I upgraded to the latest illustrator(2019), but it crashes frequently while I am in the middle of working. I tried re-installing it but the crashes did not stop. I found a loophole that might help though. Go to Edit> Preferences> and set the data recovery time to 30 seconds. And make sure to hit CTRL+S ( save) every now and then, like every two or three minutes... I hope it helps.

Same thing here. Today it was working fine till a few hours ago, and now it won't even open for more than a second or 2. I tried to uninstall, re-install, shut down, restart, use the CC cleaner tool.. Nothing. lucky the older version is working - except that I'm getting the red screen when I open files! Is there a fix anytime soon coming!
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having the same issue. The 2019 version worked fine for a few days then boom, constant crashes.

I'm having the same problem with my Illustrator 2019. I was last able to open the software on Monday with no problems. I'm running Mojave 10.14.2. I updated a month ago, and this is the first time I'm having issues.

I am having the same issue. Illustrator and InDesign both crash shortly after startup. Photoshop works fine.

My Illustrator is also crashing now. I've been using 2019 for a few days and had no issues. And then today all of a sudden it crashed. I thought it might have been a corrupt file. But I then realized that it crashes without me even opening a file. I re-installed 2018 for the time being.
I should also note that I am still running High Sierra. I have been hesitant to update to Mojave because Adobe was very slow at making their apps compatible to it and I can't have that at work.

I am not able to create a new document. When finalizing settings and go to create....it just doesn’t create. Like I never did anything or made any any attempt at settings. I am using Mojave as well

Mine crashes constantly for no apparent reason, and often won't launch at all. I've gone back to 2018. You should still be able to install it from the cloud menu.

I created a new user account on my Mac and logged in to Creative Cloud and Illustrator 2019 works now, so it's something to do with the user account. CURSES!!!!
